expectation that
instruction of the social-
emotional learning skills
will continue while
educators engage in
ongoing professional
learning. students
demonstrate a greater
ability to understand and
apply the mathematical
processes, which are
critical to supporting
learning in mathematics.
In all grades of the
mathematics program.
 Student will be
able to identify
and order main
ideas and
supporting details
and group them
into units that
could be used to
develop a multi-
paragraph piece of
writing.
 Members express
their commitment to
students’ well-being
and learning through
positive influence,
professional judgment
and empathy in
practice. Here
student are ask to
make some positive
contribution to the
learning environment
in the class room.
 The onus is on the
teacher to bring
and foster equity
in the class room
by ensuring all
child matter.
 By using the lens
of anti-racism and
anti-oppression
student are able to
express
themselves
through other
mode of learning –
Arts.
 Student are able
to share their
creative capital in
the class room and
place it on display,
to show that they
are stakeholders in
education.
 Student are
accountable for
their actions in the
class room base on
expectation and
agreement with
their teachers.
 Student are able
to use Arts as a
mean of
expressing
themselves
without being
been ‘judge’.

Editor's Notes

  1. The following slides are artifacts that were on display in the grade 7 classroom that I had the privilege of learning from at a Toronto Middle School.
  2. Students will be able to establish a distinctive voice in their writing appropriate to the subject and audience. For example communicating a stance on any issue.
