Be able to apply different analytical approaches to films
Scenario: FILMFACTZ, a new film webzine aimed ata target marketof 16 to 25 year olds who are studying or
working in the film industry and plans to go into production in spring 2017.The webzine will be published both
online and in print if it is successful.You have been commissioned to research and create a feature article about
how media analysts employdifferent methods to understand genre.You will carry out research into a range of films
and compare genre films with the work of auteur directors. The webzine wishes to cover a range of issues and
genres which appeal to young people, so your article should be pitched accordingly.
Introduction:
State that there a number of different ways that film can be analysed.
