This document outlines the contents, introduction, literature review, problem identification, objective, proposed methodology, and conclusions of a project related to microgrids and power quality improvement. The objectives are to design an SRF-based control algorithm for a DSTATCOM to reduce total harmonic distortion through simulations. Harmonics from nonlinear loads reduce power quality in microgrids. The methodology involves detecting harmonic current, generating a reference signal, producing switching pulses, and injecting a compensating current to mitigate harmonics.
Distributed energy resources (DER) based micro grid and Nano-grid framework is most technically viable bottom-top approach to sustainably meet ever-increasing demand of rural and urban communities. Recently the growth of DC operative home appliances like mobile and lap top chargers, ovens and hair dryer’s etc. are increasing and therefore a DC/DC converter is an efficient way to meet the electricity need from the local DER and helps in improving the system efficiency. This paper presents simulation results of a buck boost converter, MPPT algorithm (P & O method) for solar PV module and closed loop PI control system for obtaining constant 12 V and 24 V DC output voltage at DC bus. The proposed methodology is to extract maximum DC power from solar PV system and it is directly fed to DC load or DC Nano grid.
Control of Hybrid AC DC Micro Grid Involving Energy Storage, Renewable Energy...ijtsrd
Electricity, a remarkable scientific gift to humanity, has fuelled a civilization where it is utilized for myriad purposes. Nevertheless, a paradigm shift is underway in recent times, transitioning from small generating units to large generating plants connected to distribution systems in the form of renewable energy powered micro grids. Reactive power in networks has different alignment and efficiency based on the power factor and setup stage. These rows can be classified as passive networks of independent variables based on the sequence inductance and shunting power of the rows. The reactive power flow does, however, have a number of drawbacks. By raising the attracted line at the same charge rate, it effectively lowers the attracted lines efficiency, service, and costs. This also decreases the proportion of energy stabilization. This article presents the modeling of hybrid micro grids for power system configuration performed in the MATLAB SIMULINK environment. The present work mainly covers the network operation mode of hybrid network. Models have been developed for all converters to maintain a stable system under various load and source conditions, and the control mechanism has also been studied. This paper proposes a new converter for photovoltaic water pumping and treatment systems without
the use of storage elements. The converter is designed to drive a three-phase induction motor directly from PV
solar energy. The use of this motor has the objective of presenting a better solution to the standard DC motor
water pumping system. The development is oriented to achieve a commercially viable solution and a market
friendly product. The converter topology is based on a Resonant Two Inductor Boost converter and a Threephase

A Power quality problem is an occurrence of nonstandard voltage, current or frequency that results in a
failure or a misoperation of end user equipments. Utility distribution networks, sensitive industrial loads and
critical commercial operations suffer from various types of outages and service interruptions which can cost
significant financial losses. With the increase in load demand, the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are
increasingly connected in the distribution systems which utilizes power electronic Converters/Inverters. This
paper presents a single-stage, three-phase grid connected solar photovoltaic (SPV) system. The proposed system
is dual purpose, as it not only feeds extracted solar energy into the grid but it also helps in improving power
quality in the distribution system. The presented system serves the purpose of maximum power point tracking
(MPPT), feeding SPV energy to the grid, harmonics mitigation of loads connected at point of common coupling
(PCC) and balancing the grid currents. The SPV system uses a three-phase voltage source converter (VSC) for
performing all these functions. An improved linear sinusoidal tracer (ILST)-based control algorithm is proposed

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

11. PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
MPPT is the solution to the problem of automatically finding the
VMPP or IMPP of the PV panel at which the PV panel will be at
its PMPP at the given solar irradiance and temperature level.
The large scale use of power electronics equipment has led to
increase in Harmonics in the power system i.e. nonlinear loads
generate harmonic current.
These current harmonics will result in a power factor reduction,
decrease in efficiency, power system voltage fluctuations and
communications interference, So harmonics can be considered as a
pollutant which pollutes the entire power system.
DSTATCOM are introduced which compensate for the harmonics
and reduces the Total Harmonic Distortion.

Detecting the harmonic component present in the line current
Generating the reference signal
Producing the switching pulses for the power circuit
Generating a compensating current and injecting it back to the line
PROPOSED METHODOLOGY

16. WHAT IS MICROGRID?
It is a small-scale power supply network that is designed to provide
power for a small community.
It enables local power generation for local loads.
It comprises of various small power generating sources that makes it
highly flexible and efficient.
It is connected to both the local generating units and the utility grid
thus preventing power outages.
Excess power can be sold to the utility grid.

17. Common simple DC Stand Alone
system
Common applications include water pumps and fans
DC load is matched and directly connected to a PV array
Uses no energy storage
Load only operates when sun is shining, also referred to as a “day
use system”.
18. Stand Alone DC system with
batteries
A direct current system that feeds DC appliances with storage
batteries.
The basic components are a PV module, charge controller, storage
batteries, and a load (DC appliance).
To operate loads at night a system must include a means of storing
energy
19. DC Stand Alone systems serving DC and
AC loads
A Stand Alone system can provide power for both AC and DC
loads.
A thorough load analysis considering both factors and their time of
use, will determine the requirements for the quantity of modules and
batteries to put in place.
20. Stand Alone DC system for AC
loads
Stand-alone DC systems for AC loads must include an inverter,
which draws DC power from the battery bank and converts it to AC
power for distribution.
The size and cost of any stand alone system is related to the
magnitude and duration of the electrical load and the solar resource,
energy efficiency is critical. For these reasons, a thorough load
analysis is required in the design and installation of any stand-alone
system.
