10. StopTB Italia: Chi siamo
• Stop TB Italia Onlus nasce nel 2004 come partner italiano
della Stop TB Partnership di Ginevra, braccio operativo dell’
Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità per la lotta alla
tubercolosi nel mondo.
• E’ costituita da un gruppo di esperti impegnati nei principali
campi di lotta alla malattia (pneumologi, microbiologi,
infettivologi) che da anni operano nei paesi ad alta endemia
fornendo assistenza tecnica per il controllo della TB
• E’ impegnata ad assicurare ad ogni paziente diagnosi e cura
efficaci per la TBC, al fine di interrompere la trasmissione
dell’infezione nella comunità.
• Agisce attraverso la sensibilizzazione, l’advocacy, la
formazione e il sostegno ai malati e ai programmi di
controllo all’estero.
