This document provides instructions for creating a Powerpoint presentation on one of three topics: E-Safety, Detecting Scam Websites, or Searching Online. Students are asked to include at least 3-5 slides, 3 different animations, a transition between each slide, one image per slide, and a bibliography. The presentation is due on Friday the 13th November. To check understanding, students will answer a question on Socrative about three elements that make a good Powerpoint presentation.

4. Click on ‘Join Room’ and enter your name.
5. You have 5 minutes to answer the questions.
To be able to understand what elements make a good
Powerpoint presentation;
To be able to create a Powerpoint using all of the
elements that have been identified.

2. Task 1
• You are going to create a Powerpoint presentation about a
topic that I shall give you.
• To do this, you should know how to do these things on
Powerpoint:
– Make new slides with different layouts (e.g. Title page, Title
and Content page, etc).
– Insert images into your presentation.
– Apply animations to text and images.
– Change the background style/colour.
– Apply transitions to each page.
Do you think you can do these things?
Once you have read the instructions above, put your head on your desk
so I can see who has finished reading.

3. Prep!
Due in on Friday the 13th November, you are to create a
Powerpoint presentation using all of the elements that we
learned about today.
You will choose one of the three topics below to make your
presentation about:
