· Journal A:
Actually, my feeling for this class is not clear yet, because it is my first time to attend this kind of classes, which I was told that I have to take this class due to my low GPA. Honestly, I was not happy to know that I have to take this kind of classes because my grade, because I thought this class will be a time wasting for me. Also I do not like to be forced to do something that I do not like to do. However, from what we have discussed on the first class I am pretty sure that it is going to be a good experience for me in several ways such as writing journals, how to organize my schedule, and the most important thing is that how to succeed in college. Also, since I am an international student, I need to learn many skills, which this class will do it. For example, self-reflection is very important skill in this class, and it is a new skill that I need to improve myself on it by writing down my own ideas and thoughts to make a good piece of writing.
· Reflection:
As I have said on the first journal, my feeling was not that much good for this class because I thought it is going to be a time wasting, but through the semester I found out that it is really helpful and useful class, which has improved my skills and I have met many good friends and I was really glad to work with. I am sure that the time I have spent in this class was worth it.

Everyone has a blind spot in their personality that they don’t know about it. According to Lynn Little blind spot is “the grid that represents information that is known-by-others but not known-by-self”. There are some steps to find the blind spots in my personality that would do such as quick thinking, analysis my feelings, and ask others. First of all is quick thinking, which means to think about what I do not know about myself and others might know about me from my behavior. Second, by analyzing my feelings there is a big chance to find out some new things about my personality that I have never thought or felt about it before, which could make a huge difference. Third step is asking other people for a feedback about myself, and what they see on me According to my behavior. So, if I do like what I have found about myself by the previous steps, I would keep doing them and try to improve and develop these behaviors on my personality to get the best in myself. On the other hand, if I do not like what I have discovered about my blind spots, or myself, I will stop it immediately to avoid it or try to fix what it could be fixed by getting more knowledge about it. I believe that knowing my blind spots will support to change the way I think, behave and feel. Also, it will help me to reach more prospects for success in my college life and after college life.
· Reflection:
Since I have thought about my blind spot in my personality, I have discovered many things that if I changed them, I can improve my personality, which will help me to understand other people. Also, it can help me to impro.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. Favorite Class Assignments
• Community Service Assignment
I liked how I went “behind the scenes” of the food service department in the
Denison ISD Administration Building. I liked how I took some stress from their
job by doing the menus. I was nice sitting there for a little and seeing how they
became a team to get things done.
• DAPPS Goal Setting Assignment
This assignment helped me figure out how to do something that I wanted to do
for quite awhile. My goal was to do my homework before I had to go to work on
my days off school. It helped me realize that I could do this goal of mine if I
actually put my mind into it.
• Letter to the Next Class
It was nice to write someone who doesn’t even know is going to get a letter sent
to them. It reminded me of my high school days but also when my brother’s
were deployed. It’s also nice to let the future student know what they signed up
for and not to look like a deer in front of car looking all confused.
3. Favorite Journals
• Chapter 3 Journal Entry 11
This assignment made me sit down and really think about my future. Instead of
saying graduating from college or getting a promotion at my job, I talked about
myself, which is very strange for me. I saw myself doing what I wanted to do
without having to worry about the what if’s because at that exact moment the
what if’s were gone.
• Chapter 4 Journal Entry 13
This assignment helped me realize how I was wasting time with things I
didn’t need to do. It helped me manage my time management for my
college life but also for my work life and personal life. It showed me that
I shouldn’t be wasting so much time worrying about things I don’t need
to worry about.
• Chapter 6 Journal Entry 23
I liked this assignment because it was nice having a conversation with
yourself, which is consider strange to people. It helped me realize that
there is a strong young lady inside me that isn’t scared of the fears of
this world. This assignment helped me gain a little bit of my self-esteem
back that I lost.
4. Favorite Module
• Introduce Yourself…
To be able to write about yourself and not do it face to face or in
front of a class was the awesome thing about this assignment. I
have a huge fright of talking in front of everyone and my face will
turn as red as a cherry. I also enjoyed seeing what everyone wrote
because I like to read and hear what people have to say, I guess I’m
a listener and not a talker.

I learned that I have to accept that my choices I have made do affect with how my life
turns out, that it isn’t no ones fault but mine. I learned that I must make the right
choices and do the right things in order to improve my personal responsibility and self-
esteem. I also learned that my opinions matter more than anyone else’s.
7. Accomplished!
If I accomplished my goals and dreams, I would be a young lady with a college
degree that helped me become a Graphic Designer. I will be happy and smiling about
finally overcoming my fears. I will be the well known Graphic Designer who says how it is
and that stands up for people who cant stand up for themselves. I will be where my job
takes me, even if it’s to another country. I will have my loved ones with me and
encouraging me to go on and to not give up. I will be able to sleep knowing I did it! I will
be able to prove to everyone who said I couldn’t that I could! I survived even though it
was hard for me! I survived…
8. I survived...
I made it. I actually made it. Why am I exaggerating? Well I have
PTSD, my counselor and doctor told me that all the trauma I have
experienced has finally caught up to me. And my doctor says I have a disease
that is slowly killing me. The reason why I share this is because it’s important
to me to share it (apparently to my counselor) but also because it helped me
realize that life is just too short. I’m just 19 years old… No one from my
loved ones knows, and I plan to tell them soon but as soon as I know
everything. So if I accomplish my dreams and goals than that’s a huge deal
for me because I kicked my sickness good bye. I also told you all since we will
never see each other unless you go to my job and see me. I also don’t want
anyone to say sorry, because it’s not their fault and I feel bad for people
worrying about me. So yes… I survived, even though it was hard and most
definitely painful, I survived. I SURVIVED…
