This document provides a portfolio of analytical projects created by Alex Shaw III. It includes summaries and screenshots of 15 different analytical tools and reports created in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint between 2000-2017. information for previous years. Unfortunately, this one was not dynamic. I may try to automate this at a later time.

4. Bobby's Birthday Poster
Designed this poster for my friend's birthday. Got it professionally printed and placed it in one of my glass frames with a white mat. And, it was all done for
cheap. Nice, right? Well, besides his love for basketball, my friend Bobby has something else in common with these guys. Can you figure it out?

6. Trend Analysis Report (Overview)
This tool is dedicated to reporting data based on specific periods of time. Of course, it includes dynamic functionality and a user-friendly interface.

I kind of like the dark background on this report. In the daily summary, a breakdown by day of week is also included.

8. Dynamic Yearly Calendar
This calendar displays the months for a selected year, with highlighted days based on the information you enter as holidays or birthdays. Kind of obsolete
now, huh? Still nice to have in Excel. By the way, the calendar and holidays print on separate pages.

10. The Gender Analyzer
What a creative way to analyze gender-based data. Just enter your data or link to them from another location and watch the figures work. It does not have to
be women to men either. You can move both pieces around, as a group or individually. Folks, this is a prime example of creative analytics.

12. The Clustered Marimekko
Ah man! You just do not know what you have to do to create the Marimekko. Not only that, try making all the elements link to a source. That is what this is,
a bonified Excel chart.

13. Dynamic World Map
You have to combine visual elements with your work. With the three controls at the top, you can update the map to show yearly, quarterly, or monthly sales.
The sales breakdown is also updated based on your selections.

14. Daily Report—Overview Page
The first version of the Daily contained only an overview page and a daily summary. It includes a navigation bar, global selectors, and module selectors.
Basically, you run a SQL query, load the results to Excel, and watch everything update. After that, you are done for the day, but do not tell the boss.

While developing the daily, I wanted to make it look like you were not in Excel, more like a standalone application. I think I accomplished that task. In fact,
you do not even need to know Excel to use this report.

pages for each partner. Everything is dynamically updated.

Given the Daily's design structure, the estimates page was seamlessly introduced to the Daily. It enables stakeholders to easily compare estimates to
actuals.
