    Conventional Pop Video’s.

    Pop Videos.

       A conventional pop video has bright colour, beautiful characters
        and extreme dance routines. A pop video is aimed at a
        younger audience and teenagers, this is why the videos are
        typically fun, bright and exciting. We plan to take all of this
        knowledge of pop videos and adapt them to work within our
        own video.

    David Guetta & Rihanna – Who’s
    That Chick?
This video is a conventional music
video as the star (Rihanna) is very
beautiful. She is also wearing unique
bright outfits and her make up also
stands out. Her set is extremely
bright with big flowers and other large
colour props around her. The video
includes text e.g. ‘dance’ in a bubble
font which again is big and colourful.
This video would attract young
children as well as teenagers giving a
bigger target audience therefore
making more money.

Katy Perry – California
Girls.
This video is extremely colourful and weird. It is
set in a board game which children would play
which shows that the audience for the video is
young children to teenagers. The main star (Katy
Perry) is in a bright land made of candy and is
wearing outfits that portray this. She is shown in
clouds which is impossible making this seem as
if it was a fantasy and surreal. The characters
are shown doing a dance routine which is very
common in music videos and all of the
characters are conventionally beautiful.

    Avril Lavigne- Girlfriend.

       This video is very sarcastic and
        shows a girl which does anything
        she can to win another women's
        boyfriend. This is a conventional
        pop video as it is bright and set at
        a mini golf course which is for a
        younger audience. The
        characters in the video are all the
        same person but shown in
        different outfits and look different.
        The main character is very
        girly, but then shown as dark with
        black hair. We particularly like the
        shots in the photo booth and
        would like to adapt this to work
        within our own work.

Lady Gaga Ft. Beyonce –
Telephone.
This video is extremely surreal and shows to
characters which kill people by poisoning them
in a café. Both Lady gaga and Beyonce are
shown as beautiful unique women, they wear
bright unique outfits which make them stand out
and are desirable. The video uses text e.g. to
show the poision ingredients which makes the
video more bright, colourful and funny. There is
a dance routine where the main characters look
like super heros, in bright skimpy outfits which
can be seen as exhibitionism. The video is
intriguing and as it is a narrative, it makes the
audience want to carry on watching it, which is
why it is 9 minutes long.
