6. OUR PRODUCT IDEA
PIEZO 2022
What is Piezo?
The asymmetric shape of the atoms of piezoelectric
crystals of poly vinylidene difluoride (PVDF) creates
positive and negative poles sensitive to electricity . This
causes the crystal to produce a small voltage when it is
vibrated or when enough pressure is applied to change
the shape of the crystal. This effect is reversible; when an
electric voltage is applied, the crystal changes shape by a
small amount.

-Our project will be very important for
Qatar in the world cup 2022 because
that will reduce the pressure on
kahramaa and electricity stations .
-The purpose of our project is to
transform the resulting energy to an
electricity and turn on the lights in the
stadiums and every unit depending on

MATERIALS AND METHODS
• Materials:
Pieces of PVDF films and complete Electric
circuit to transfer the voltage produced to the
devices.
• Method :
An electrical set up employing PVDF films to
sense pressure and produce voltage that will
be amplified to light up stadiums / the digital
banners in stadiums.

contributes to the sustainable
energy development.
• The set-up is of low cost and
easily manageable.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
• We recommend that this idea
could be applied in the corridors
of malls, hospitals etc.
• This could generate large amount
of voltage enough to provide
lighting to the entire polymer.
11. CONCLUSIONS
• Throughout our journey , we learnt about different
polymers and their properties and applications in
everyday life and industrial applications.
• Moreover, we learn to design a new product idea
that could change the lives of people and make it
better.
• We learn to work as a team, build confidence and
improve our communication skills.
