Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

- 5. Unless you have a server and can automatically link to the web server option, you will want to go to www.mac.com and establish a .mac account. You can start with a free 60 day trial.
- 6. Open GarageBand to record your podcast. You can also record to an iPod using the external microphone that can be attached, this recording would be loaded into iTune and dragged into GB. Name the podcast
- 7. If you loaded a recording from an iPod, click audio to drag file. If not, click the red button and record using an external microphone.
- 8. Next, select “Share” and “send Podcast to iWeb”
- 9. Click the “Podcast link” to edit the content of your “homepage” iWeb opens and shows the Title of the Podcast/s you have made.
- 10. Edit the content for your podcast entry
- 11. Click iWeb and select publish to .mac
- 15. Download the audacity and LAME MP3 encoder options
- 16. Open Audacity to record your podcast. Click the red arrow to record
- 17. When you finish recording, you can edit if necessary. Then click “file” and “export as MP3”
- 18. Follow the prompts to save your MP3 file.
- 19. Enter a title, author, and change genre to “other”
