Pretty In Punk
• The name I chose was Pretty In Punk due to
the appeal to the female audience, as they are
normally associated with the genre of Punk
however by adding the pop to it, it creates an
innovative new idea with a mash of two
genres. It also is a pun and a well recognised
phrase so it has more appeal due to being
creative and well thought out.
Explanation of choice of genre
• Pop punk (also known as punk-pop) is a fusion music genre that combines
elements of punk rock with elements of pop music. Pop punk typically
combines fast punk rock tempos, power chord changes and loud, distorted
electric guitars with pop-influenced melodies and lyrical themes. I chose
this genre as it is easy to photograph and I know the style of the genre as
it is my style so would be easy to mediate the models to how I want them.
I also think that it would be easier to target a small audience and tailor it
to them specifically.
