Philippa and Liam
Hiya James,
1. Your song, my cure, what was your original idea for it, and
how did this develop?
2. Why did you decide to write the song my cure?
3. Did the song’s storyline have anything to do with your own
experiences or someone else’s?
4. Who were your influences for this song?
5. What would you like to achieve with this song?
6. Did you write this song because song writing is an interest
of yours or because you want to become a musician?
7. Why did you choose to play the guitar and how long have
you played it?
8. If you had more time would you like to add other
instruments to your song?
9. Why did you choose that particular theme?
10. Who was your target audience and why?
Ideas
 The use of drugs e.g. cocaine, weed, heroin,
LSD, ecstasy, crystal meth to represent the
meaning of the lyrics.
 Confused- a lot of cuts etc, as the lyrics seem to
be about different things, so the use of this idea
would be representative.
 We will mix both band and a story together, as
in our opinion this makes a video look more
interesting, and nowadays, most people do this
anyway.
 We will also tell the story of the artists views on
the song, however we will only know what this is
when we have done an interview with him.
 We will also how what people go through in the
present and how one person represents it.
 Week 1- 20/9/10- Plan video, make mind
maps with ideas and create storyboard
 Week 2- 27/09/10- Ensure that the music
and lyrics are ready so that when filming
we can refer to it. Finish all pre-production
ready for production
 Week 3- 04/10/10- Begin Filming
 Week 4- 11/10/10- Continue filming
 Week 5- 18/10/10- Finish all filming and do
the final preparation for post production
to begin
 Camera
 Tripod
 Batteries
 Leads
 Charger
 Costumes
 Laptop
 Storyboards
 Fake drugs
 Glow in the dark paint
 Plastic bags
 We had the opportunity to film a party on
the 25/09/10 however when we came to
filming the party scenes there weren’t
enough people there to make it look real.
This meant that the only footage we had
of taking the “Drugs” before hand can
now not be used as we will need to use
the same toilets that our venue will have
that we do film the music video in. We
have decided that we will stage our own
house party so that we can properly
control and so that we get the right
amount and good footage.
