Our group created consistent branding across a music video, poster, and CD packaging to promote a pop/country artist. The music video featured costumes and a set designed to represent the hybrid genre. The poster and CD cover used the same background scene from the video and similar colors to visually link the products. The poster prominently featured the artist holding a guitar in front of a bright background to identify the country music genre. The CD cover displayed the artist name in bright yellow text against a mix of colors representing the artist's career highs and lows. Consistency across products helped promote the artist's established style.

2. THE PRODUCTS
Our ancillary task connects with our music video. The reason for this is that it
reflects to our genre of pop with country influence. For me the most significant
issue was the use of miss en scene because it allowed my group to have the
artist imagine to fit with the hybrid genre. Having exploring the music industry I
understood that the construction of the artist is very important. The costume
we used for our artist was a blue denim shirt , with skinny jeans, we did this to
represent intersexuality with real artist , such as Olly murs and Gary Barlow .

3. CONSISTENCY OF COLOURS
For our ancillary task we used our music video to compliment our poster
and cd covers. The reason for this is that we used a consistent use of
colors and the theme with the cd cover and digi pac. We used the same
background from a scene in our music video where the artist was
standing in underneath a tunnel with a guitar. This helped us to identify
the link between the two product because they all look similar , and this
allows us to convey the message within the products which also allows
the artist to get promoted.

4. DIGI PACK- MAGAZINE POSTER
We decided to use a picture of the artist holding the guitar and being the centre
of attention. The reason for this is that it allows the audience to understand
the artist straight away , by looking at the imagine it is easily understandable
what genre the artist is from. As a group we decided to have the title in the
middle of the poster . The reason for this is that so the audience can read it
straight away and its eye catch because its on top of our artists imagine . We
also used a yellow colour font , where it says be some one , so that the
imagine of the guitar and the font matches and allows to expose the country
theme attraction. As a group we decided to make our poster very bright the
reason for this is that , bright colours represents success and the main aim
our music video was to represent the success of the artist.
By showing the artist holding the guitar automatically gives the country
genre vibe to the audience. More over the yellow and orange colour
resemblance the country theme as yellow and orange connotes country. We
also made the artist wear a cow boy hat to represent the country style
imagine of a typical cowboy, this will make the audience understand the
iconography of the artist.

6. CD COVER
For our cd cover we used the mixtures of colours in the background and had the imagine
of our artist in the middle . The reason for this is the colourful back ground shows a mix
tone of emotions representing each colour. this shows the dark colours in the album
represents the artist unsuccessful days , where as the bright colours such as yellow
represents the successful days of the artist , we decided the mix all the colours in the
background to represent the struggle of the artist. This relates to our music video
because we had a narrative storyline where the artist was struggling , singing in under
pass and after he went on stages and became successful. We had the artist in the
middle so that the audience can spot the artist and recognise what music he produces
by looking at the imagine . We used a big bright font , to make it eye catch and
attractive to the audience . The reason for this is that we used a bright yellow colour
font , so that the colour matches with the album cover.
For the back cover of our cd we decided to have another mid shot of our artist , and
have all his tracks names on the right hand side. The reason why we did is because to
make the artist remunerable , and have all his track list on the side so that everything
fitted in. we decided to use the same theme across the cd cover so that there's no
changes towards it , because from research we saw that most album cover uses the
same theme through out the album. The only thing that we have changed was added a
barcode , this shows that the album is up to sale and the audience can buy it , because
this fits in with the convention of a digi pack. To carry on the mixed coloured team and
the design of our digi pack. We decided to use the mixed coloured background because
it looks like a real silhouette of a cd and it was like an illusion to the customer.

7. MY PERSONAL CD COVER
This is a example of my design of a cd cover. Personally I tried to
create a cover that was simple and had just an orange theme to
represent country. The reason for this I did research on cd covers and
saw that most mainstream artist made their cover simple such as
Bruno mars. From that idea I tried to create a simple production. The
positive side of this was that my group thought it is easy to tell what
genre it fits in with such as pop, as Kamrul got a mic and the color
represent country. However the negative side to my design was that all
theme of the music video didn't’t match, this is why as a group we
decided not to use that.
