We have done research into other music videos
of our genre, collecting ideas of locations,
themes and costumes. We also looked at
Goodwin’s idea of videos being disjunctive or
amplifying, and seeing which we wanted to
apply to our video.
4. We also looked at word art from old comics such
as Beano and Marvel as we would like to include
this in part of our video.
5. Theorists
• Carlsson - believed that music videos, in general,
fall into two main groups; performance clips
where the video mostly shows an artist (or
artists) singing or/and dancing; and conceptual
clips where the video shows something else
during its duration often with artistic ambitions.
• We decided we wanted to use both performance
and conceptual themes in our video, with some
clips of the artist performing but also using a
variety of other scenes including some stop
motion.

7. Health and safety issues
• Health and safety
- Put coloured tape around tripod legs
- Make sure the locations are suitable and have
no dangers such as busy traffic etc.
- When running, make sure the floor is dry and
there are no potential hazards
- Try not to fall over
