The play begins with a girl narrating how she ended up in prison through flashbacks. She and her friend dared each other to steal an old lady's bag, but she accidentally stabbed the old lady in the process. In court, her friend blamed her to avoid punishment. Both girls are sentenced to 6 years in prison. In prison, her friend bullies her but she finds comfort in her kind cellmate. She decides to get her education and turn her life around. Before leaving, she makes amends with her friend and promises to help her cellmate get out of prison too.

1. My Own Plot To Cell Block 33
The play will start off with a girl writing away and as she is writing she is also
talking about how the story began (the room is pitch black and there is only
one spot light on the girl). While she is talking slowly other lights appear and
two other characters mime while performing, all most as if she has become
the narrator of the play. She stops to a point where she is talking about how
she landed herself into prison – flashback
Two girls out in the streets and one of them dare another to steal money from
an old lady. Character A goes to the old lady and tries to grab her back
while character B is on the lookout to see if anyone comes to help the old
lady. Sadly Character A pulls the old lady’s handbag with a lot of force and
panics so she pulls her knife to cut the leash of the bag but intentionally she
stabs the old lady. The old lady drops to the floor and hurts herself very badly
and bleeds. Character B sees someone coming and tries to get hold of
Character A’s attention so that they can run away. However Character A is
frozen and cannot believe that just happened, character B runs away
without her friend. Someone calls the police and get hold of Character A so
that she does not run away. The police inform her parent and keeps her in
the police station over night to see what has happened and if others were
involved. The old lady is so badly injured and claims that Character A bad
physically punched and threatened her then pulled her handbag and
stabbed her as she fell to the floor and the eye witness agrees. Character A
and B ends up going to court and are given a final chance to full explain
themselves. Character A takes on full responsibility however Character B
blames it all on Character A and frame her so that she could get away with it
all but the and are doing their trail where they both get sentenced to prison
for 6 years for knife crime and 11 months for insult on elderly lady.
Back to the writer and this time she is talking to the audience and how much
she regrets doing what she did – trying to get them involved while the stage is
being set for the next scene.
Character A and B go through many procedures and are left in a room for 5
minutes as the officers goes off to get their uniform. Character B threatened
and agues with character A and they both get into a fight and fall out. The
two girls are guided by a really strict guard who leads them to their cells and
put them with other prisoners who the guard thinks they will cope well with.
Character A shares a cell with another new character who is called Lucy
who is really nice and tries to welcome her new roommate and makes sure
that she is comfortable. Character A does not say anything at all. The buzzer

2. for Lunch goes off and all prisoners go to get their lunch. Character A is being
lead by her roommate who is very nice but gets bullied very often because
of the fact the she is very quiet and takes no interest in fighting. Character B is
being lead by a group of girls who look very mean, feisty and are bullies. The
dinner ladies at the prison serve them food. Character B and a group of girls
goes towards Character A and knocks her tray of her hand and threatens her
about harming her family and herself. The police officers come and sees
what is going on and separates the girls and asks who started the argument.
Top Don comes from a corner and looks variously at Character A and blames
her and other prisoners agree. Character A lies and nodes her head as she is
very scared. The guard grabs hold of character A and locks her in an empty
room by herself. Few days later the guard comes to realise the girl from the
cell as her time is over in the detention area. The guard looks at the girl and
say “I know it wasn’t you but can you understand why I had to do this”
Character A replies “yes I know, just do your job, your just like them”
Lucy who is Character A’s roommate tries to talk to her, so she explains to her
why she ended up in a prison. Character A listens and cannot responds back
to her and they both talk about what they wanted to become when they
were little kids. Lucy and helps Character A out by telling her that she has her
life ahead of her and that she shouldn’t waste time, but instead she should
do something about it. Character A takes Lucky’s advice and decides to get
back in education and get her ALevels completed while being in prison. One
of the guard’s help Character A out. Character B sees that character A has
become calm and does not fight with her, Character A tells Lucy that her
time in the prison is over and that she will soon be leaving to go and she also
promises to help get Lucy out of prison as for whatever reason it was not her
fault to end up inside and before going she also sorts things out between her
and her bestfriend Character B.
