1. Social Phrasebooks
Our mission is to build first “dictionary for phrases” through social
phrasebooks and collaborative tagging, that allows people to find
word expressions for given situation and meaning.
2. Phraseum is actually a “Pinterest for foreign language phrases”, where people can clip word expressions
from the web and publish their own phrase collections (social phrasebooks focused on particular topics or
grammar subjects). Other users can follow phrasebooks and discover useful phrases in their home streams.
In addition to subscribed phrasebooks and people, streams also provide automatically curated phrases
(recommended by Phraseum) of interest for each user.

3. Users can:
•clip and save phrases from the web while reading foreign language news and blogs – through
our bookmarklet
•add phrases manually
•categorize phrases by tags and collections
•create collections – similar to Pinterest boards which we call phrasebooks - either in topics
(giving directions, presentations, interview) or grammar subjects (phrasal verbs, tenses …)
•follow selected phrasebooks or other users
•discover useful phrases of interest created by others, to re-save for later use, in their home
streams
•re-save any phrases added by others to use or learn later

We are currently focused on building a user base more than bringing in revenue.
The project is self-funded.
