A camera works similarly to the human eye. Light enters through the lens and is focused onto the light-sensitive film or sensor inside the camera. The film or sensor records the image when the shutter is pressed, similar to how light is focused onto the retina in the eye and the image is sent to the brain. Key components of both the eye and camera include the pupil/aperture to control light intake, a lens to focus the image, and a light-sensitive surface at the back to capture the image.
