Verbs are what you do…to social objects Tweets-  Micro-blogs, the whole site depends on the tweets. Lists- a brand new feature on twitter, from twitter.com “Lists are timelines you build yourself, consisting of friends, family, co-workers, sports teams, you name it.” Followers- Fellow tweeters following your tweets. Following- A fellow tweeter whose tweets you follow, these tweets take up your home page. Direct messages-can be sent to you or from you to another tweeter. Listed- Lists following you or lists you follow again a new feature. Relational Practices (the active verbs) Tweeting- Micro-blogging, literally anything goes for a micro-blog, (seriously many MC Hammer tweets contain only “pocket tweet lol!”). Managing Lists- Manage the lists in which this tweeter appears. Replying- One can reply to any other tweeters tweet, it will add a link to the tweeter one replies to which in text is an @ plus the tweeters username. Messaging- Sending another tweeter a message. Mention- mentioning is simply adding @ plus a tweeters username. Following- By following someone one receives their tweets on their homepage in a stream of all the other people one follows. Delete- Instead of replying to their own tweet, one can delete their tweet. Blocking- One can block other tweeters as a privacy feature. Report for spam- One can report another tweeter as spam if you are suspicious. Social Objects
Meaningful or meaningless?What about knowledge? Users spread knowledge of current events to others everyday at a rapid pace often exceeding the pace of the mass media by using the most basic social object on the site: a tweet. Shirkey gives us evidence of this in his talk about twitter and the Chinese earthquake A twitter user makes meaning through replying to other’s tweets and posting tweets. This connects a user with other twitter users producing meaning by establishing some type of social relationship between users.
Twitter Object Map The lines represent the relations between options and the verbs that correspond with them. You reply to who you are following through a tweet. Tweets are the most basic and important, everything revolves around the tweet.

Listed- Lists following you or lists you follow again a new feature. Relational Practices (the active verbs) Tweeting- Micro-blogging, literally anything goes for a micro-blog, (seriously many MC Hammer tweets contain only “pocket tweet lol!”). Managing Lists- Manage the lists in which this tweeter appears. Replying- One can reply to any other tweeters tweet, it will add a link to the tweeter one replies to which in text is an @ plus the tweeters username. Messaging- Sending another tweeter a message. Mention- mentioning is simply adding @ plus a tweeters username. Following- By following someone one receives their tweets on their homepage in a stream of all the other people one follows. Delete- Instead of replying to their own tweet, one can delete their tweet. Blocking- One can block other tweeters as a privacy feature. Report for spam- One can report another tweeter as spam if you are suspicious. Social Objects

Users spread knowledge of current events to others everyday at a rapid pace often exceeding the pace of the mass media by using the most basic social object on the site: a tweet. Shirkey gives us evidence of this in his talk about twitter and the Chinese earthquake A twitter user makes meaning through replying to other’s tweets and posting tweets. This connects a user with other twitter users producing meaning by establishing some type of social relationship between users.
  • 4. Twitter Object Map The lines represent the relations between options and the verbs that correspond with them. You reply to who you are following through a tweet. Tweets are the most basic and important, everything revolves around the tweet.

Tweeters relationship and activity is based on a mutual relationship in order to gain value. People interest people, therefore we like to read tweets. For instance Arnold's Schwarzenegger's breakfast was posted on twitter, now we know what his breakfast looks like.

Clay Shirkey shows how events can be instantly communicated throughout the world as they are happening. Twitter connects any kind of person to another based on what users choose to do. You can determine this by looking at who uses twitter and how they use it. Everyone uses twitter businesses, sports teams, celebrities, teenagers, college students.
