This monument was created in order to commemorate the civilians lives lost during the
Salvadoran Civil War. The monument was made to resemble the Vietnam Memorial; it is made
of black granite and has in scripted the names of the war victims. However, the monument only
has in scripted the names of 30,000 of the 75,000 war victims. The names are organized in
alphabetical order. It is 85 feet long and 15 feet tall. The monument also has the name of the
massacres that took place during the war such as La Masacre del Izote in which an entire town
was burned down and 10,000 civilians were killed. The project begun in 1994 and it was finished
in 2003. The monument was made to pay the government s moral debt to the population, as stated
by the current president of El Salvador. It is meant to be a symbol of memory and reconciliation.
However, the reconciliation aspect of it can be debatable because it requires the forgiveness for all
the lives that were lost during the war and the horrific circumstances citizens were subject to. The
question whether or not the goal of the monument was met is challenged by forgiving means
forgetting paradox.

Currently, the problem of unauthorized immigration divides Congress along political party lines.
Many politicians who are anti immigrant and pro immigrant seek for ways by which they can
impact their political base. As research shows, politicians and anti immigrant groups take advantage
of the mass media in order to persuade their constituency. The media uses quantitative data analysis
of the unauthorized population to create a media spectacle, by the portrayal of unauthorized
immigrants as criminals (Correa Cabrera 2012). This media spectacle serves to exploit the fears of

We interviewed most of or interviewees in a classroom. The reason why we choose this area is
that because when a student is at school, they are constantly in a classroom. So soon enough
many feel more comfortable in a classroom than other places. We interviewed some grade tens
were their bags are. We assumed they would be more honest if they were interviewed
somewhere that was familiar and in a sense comforting because if they feel comfortable, they
would normally be more truthful. We chose to do a mid shot because when most people are
nervous, they tend to move their feet and we didn t want to show them nervous to be interviewed.
We also used different camera angles to show different people. Some were smaller, so we lowered
the angle and where the camera was positioned.

1.16 I prepared training material and presentation slides for the intermediate application and I was
responsible for training new teams on the intermediate application.
1.17 I wrote the Functional Design Specification (FDS) for the application that would migrate the
data from the intermediate database to Network Engineer geodatabase. And in this FDS, I specified
that the loader must be capable of migrating the data (models, structures, equipment, connections
and detail views) directly to NE default version in order to speed up the migration process as much
as possible.
1.18 I wrote the Test Procedure Plan for testing the migrated data after migration. And I set up
multiple meetings with IT team in order to cover all the test results.
1.19 I was the leader of the team which was responsible for applying the test procedure in order to
test the migrated data after migration to ensure that the spatial network data had been migrated to
NE geodatabase successfully and migrated data was not corrupted. Besides I was the
communication channel between the QC team and the IT team to solve any issue.

like reporting tools, QC tools and custom tools built on top of Esri s GIS using ArcObjects
