The Era Of The Industrial Revolution
When the Industrial Revolution started, it resulted in the world changing at a high pace. So, the
people started to desire a simpler, and a more stable time. That s when the revival of ancient
architecture started to form. Each type of revival style was associated with a specific architect, for
instance, A.W.N. Pugin was England s leading Gothic revivalist. The revivals of the ancient
architecture influenced the architectural designs of many architects of the time. Two of the most
noted architects in the nineteenth century who were influenced by the architectural revivals were:
Richard Morris Hunt, the leading architect to the Beaux Art style; and Henry Hobson Richardson,
the father of the Richardsonian Romanesquearchitecture. The... Show more content on

Its style combined classical ideas from the ancient Greek, Roman, and Romanesque architecture and
deployed their ideas into its architecture (Carven, 7/27/2016). The Beaux s Art style influenced
architecture between 1880 and 1920, but its popularity ended with economic hardships from the
great depression. Beaux Arts style emphasized the classical forms and features by showing
elaborate details while having heavy masonry, and massive plans. The Beaux Arts displayed
elaborate details by integrating sculpture that was influenced by the Baroque and Rococo styles. It
also had classical details such as pilasters, balustrades, and garlands. It was highly ornamented to the
point that an elaborately decorated surface with little areas left unornamented became the hallmark
for the Beaux Arts style (Architectural style of America, n.d.). Also, the Beaux Arts style is
symmetrical because it was influenced by the ancient Greek revival. Columns, arches, vaults, and
domes were all elements of the Beaux Arts. They used all of these elements and characteristics to
try and imitate the European Aristocracy houses. Beaux Arts main clients were the would be
American aristocrats who have accumulated a massive amount of wealth throughout one or two
generations. His main clients had to be the super wealthy people of the time because the Beaux Arts
style of architecture had massive plans and heavy masonry, which means that his clients should be

Theme Of Saving Mr Ugwu By Lin Robinson
DelprГёve 2: Saving Mr Ugwu
Ethnic, racial and religious discrimination has been a well known topic across the world, for
many centuries and to this day it s still a very complicating factor in our society. Cities and
countries is divided by issues such as religion or even the color of the skin. We can see issues like
these that has caused wars across the world through history and by now. We would think that
people would know better than that, but we still see wars based on religious differences and
hierarchies between the social classes. In the short story Saving Mr Ugwu by Lin Anderson the
conflicts between skin color, ethnicity and religion is shown through the consequences of the
nigerian civil war that, divided ethnic groups more than they ... Show more content on

Big Bend Rocks
Geology of the Big Bend (Rocks)
The only types of rocks found in Big Bend National park are Sedimentary (N.P). The specific
names for these rocks are: limestones, shale and sandstones, clay, Lava Flow, Conglomerate,
Marl, and Cherty Limestone are found in this park (N.P). These rocks were likely abundant
throughout the park; when the area was covered by a salty sea during the Cretaceous period
(N.P). The way how these rocks formed is by the results of pebbles being cemented together.
Another way how the rocks can form is by how the earliest layer of rock was deposited in a
relatively deep marine environment. After the next layer above the shale indicates that the rock is
deposited in a very shallow way, that s when the ocean water starts

Reflection On Experiential Family Therapy
Experiential Theory
Candida A. Phelps
Liberty University
Experiential Family Therapy
In current practices of psychodynamic family therapy, it leans towards integration and diversity in
recognition of the limitations of any single therapeutic model (Evans, 2012). A wide variety of
family therapies have arose which may be described as psycho dynamic and there is not an
opportunity to address all of them. This review will discuss experiential family therapy.
In the early twentieth century, the foundations of the psychodynamic theory was laid by Sigmund
Freud. Freud focused his attention mainly on individuals and not so much on the family, but he did
recognize that family is important in human development (Evans, 2012). Yet, succeeding
theoreticians plus family counselors have utilized the ideologies of psychoanalysis in the expansion
of family therapy (Evans, 2012). Ludwig Binswanger, a psychologist who disagreed with Freud s
theories of human beings, is said to have brought the concepts of existential and phenomenological
thought into the field of psychology (Mahrer, 1983). With the dissatisfaction of the limitations of
Freud s theory, Binswanger started to search outside the existing areas of psychological theories for
other models to explain the thoughts and behavior of individuals (Mahrer, 1983).
The experiential theory for family therapy was developed by Virginia Satir(Satir, et al, 1991) and
Carl Whitaker (Whitaker and Bumberry, 1988) and can be loosely

Why I Choose Michael Faraday 114
Why I Chose Michael Faraday114 When I was given free rein on a topic for research, the first
things that came to mind were certainly not science related. But as I discussed my Electricity and
Magnetism book with my mom, I was having trouble understanding the concepts of static electricity
and electric circuits. But eventually, I realized that not only did I want to understand these topics,
but I really wanted to know more about some of these great scientists. Looking into the topic of
famous scientists who discovered electricityor magnetism, I found that there was not one specific
person who had done that. It was a chain of amazing scientists, all following one another s work to
invent or discover something else. Some of them

The Problems Of Deutsche Bank
The Problems Deutsche Bank is facing:
Global capital markets are being pressured by the travails of Deutsche Bank, one of Europe s
largest investment banks, and there is
yet no clarity on when the coast will clear. The bank s stock has plunged to all time lows as
concerns about liquidity arose for a
firm considered systemically important. The fear is that the German bank could fail and spark a
domino effect that would harm the
global banking system. This worry is heightened as German Chancellor Angela Merkel s
administration has rejected any bail out plan.
Problems which have been facing by the bank as follows:
Huge fine of $14 billion faced by the Bank, prompting fear of a new financial crisis by US
regulatory body:
Deutsche Bank, Germany s largest bank, is facing its biggest crisis since the global financial
meltdown in 2008. US regulators were
seeking to fine the company $14 billion not just a large sum of money but actually enough to
fundamentally threaten the viability
of the bank. And that was only the latest in a series of setbacks that have cost the company s stock
more than half its value over the
past year.
A year ago, the company announced plans to lay off 35,000 people shortly after announcing a $7
billion quarterly loss. In November,
the bank agreed to pay a $258 million fine for violating US sanctions laws. In June it failed a US
regulatory stress test designed to
predict whether it would survive a major economic downturn. And now Deutsche Bank

Septic Tank Friendly Toilet Paper
2 Household Items That Will Put Less Stress On A Septic Tank For homeowners that have a
septic tank, it is important that you do not overburden the tank with things that should not go
through your home s plumbing. You may not realize it, but it s even possible for certain
dishwasher detergents to have a harmful effect if you are not carful. If you want your home s
septic tank to last a long time, use these two products. Septic Tank Friendly Toilet Paper While
you can be diligent about the amount of toilet paper that you use, you cannot monitor the toilet
paper usage of others in your home. If you have people in your home that go a little overboard
with their toilet paper usage, consider switching to a toilet paper that is designed specifically...

You ll be paying a slight premium for the toilet paper, but it will be worth it in the end. You ll
find yourself needing to pump your septic tank less, which could offset the cost of the septic
tank friendly toilet paper. Just remember that switching toilet paper will not eliminate the need
for septic tank pumping. It will need to be done eventually. Liquid Dishwashing Detergent
Dishwashing detergent pods are becoming more popular with homeowners because of how easy
they are to use. They have the exact amount of detergent measured for your dishes, and they don
t make a mess when putting them in. Unfortunately, the plastic pods don t dissolve completely,
and only turn into crumbs of plastic. A septic tank needs all the waste to be organic in order for
it to break it all down. That s why you should avoid using the plastic pods, and stick to liquid
dishwashing detergent that will go straight down the drain without any plastic left behind. Another
way to assist your septic tank when using a dishwasher is to make sure that it is using very hot
water. The detergent will break down chemically much easier when the water is as hot as it can be.
Cold water will cause the detergent to turn into solid chunks that can get caught in the pipes going
to your home s septic

Analysis Of The Book The Jewels
Far away in a land near the edge of the world as a young, girl named Micah. Being unwise and
filled with joy she tiptoes near the edge of the sand, leaving small prints in her wake. The
impressions are soon washed away with the water that surpasses all obstacles. As the foam bubbles
and multiplies, blocking the view of the worldbelow, Micah awaits to find the treasures untold.
The girls smile widens in disbelief as she hopes and dreams about who she could be with all the
riches from down under the dark waters. The jewels could finally pull her out of the rags, that
seem to have a way of only finding her. Although, if she could have the gold it could drag her to
a place of no return, since it has already been the death of many men. She sits down her joy
slowly dissipating as she realizes a friend like this would never reveal all the secrets that are
hidden within. Still, her friend continues to calmly wave back with a wiseness beyond Micahs
years. Since she is only seventeen and she does not recognize or see all that is to be seen and
know about the world like her friend, who has been around since before the dinosaurs. This girl is
me, and the friend that awaits close by is the ocean.
The name I received at birth is Micah and I am seventeen years old, and unlike the ocean I only
go by one name. When the ocean was first created it was called by many names, the Seven Seas,
Poseidon s realm, and even Davy Jones Locker. The ocean may not be alive, but many seem to say

I Bet I Can Carry More Boxes Than You Analysis
Kenny I bet I can carry more boxes than you! I yelled to my younger brother as we struggled to
haul as many boxes as we could at once into our dad s new apartment. While moving all of my
dad s belongings into his new home, I noticed Kenny crack a smile for the first time in a long
time as he realized that he is winning our little game. The truth was, I made sure to carry fewer
boxes than he did, to make him think that he was out doing me. I thought up more games while
we helped our dad move in so that my brother would not think about the fact that our parents
were getting a divorce and would never live in the same house again. I was six years old and my
brother was four when they divorced and it was already having an effect on him. I knew my
brother needed me to show him that we would be ok and that he needed someone in his life to
step up and be his role model. As his brother, I instinctively knew that I had to be the one to step
up for him. I had my parents as role models, but it was hard for Kenny to use them as role models
because the thought of them reminded him of the divorce. I knew that I would have to rely upon

Fahrenheit 451 Beatty Quotes
In Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury makes use of external works in the form of quotes. These
quotes often expand upon the plot and improve the story. One of the most important quotes in
the book is said by a woman who refuses to leave her home while her books are being burned.
She recites a line from History of the British Empire (1870) Play the man, Master Ridley; we
shall this day light such a candle, by God s grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out.
This was originally said by Hugh Latimer while he was being burned at the stake for heresy.
Because reading and owning books is against the law, her actions can be compared to heresy, and
her fate is the same as Latimer. Her death sparks a curiosity in Montag, making him wonder what...

Montag compares Mildred s friends to plaster saints he saw in a church when he was young,
because they were silent and he did not understand them. Montag goes to meet Faber, and he
brings a copy of the Bible. When he begins his journey to meet Beatty Faber reads him the book
of Job to comfort him. The biggest quote from the Bible is said by Montag at the end of the
book. He is contemplating what to share with his new acquaintances, when he remembers the
verse Revelations 22:2 And on the other side of the river was there a tree of life...and the leaves
of the tree were the healing of the nations (Page 158). This verse implies a renewal or a cycle, in
which hope is given after a disaster. Bombs destroyed the city, but now the leaves (perhaps
books, or knowledge) will heal the survivors. The Bible is timeless, so by including quotes and
references in the novel, Bradbury implies that the power of books is also timeless. After meeting
with Faber, Montag makes his way to the firehouse, but first stops at his home. He finds Mildred
and her friends, and becomes unraveled when interacting with them. Montag balks at their
ignorance and nonchalance, so he recites a poem that he hopes they ll react to. Dover Beach is a
poem by Matthew Arnold, written in 1867. In the poem he laments the values that were lost in his
society. Montag angrily reads it to the women, and they become visibly upset, one of them even
crying. The poem forces

The Scarlet Ibis JAMES HURST Adapted from: Elements of Literature: Third Course. Austin:

had not yet been born, that the ibis lit in the bleeding tree.1 The flower garden was strained with
rotting brown magnolia petals and ironweeds grew rank2 amid the purple phlox. The five o

Crawling backward made him look like a doodlebug,7 so I began to call him Doodle, and in time
even Mama and Daddy thought it was a better name than William Armstrong. Only Aunt Nicey
disagreed. She said caul babies should be treated with special respect since they might turn out
to be saints. Renaming my brother was perhaps the kindest thing I ever did for him, because
nobody expects much from someone called Doodle. Although Doodle learned to crawl, he
showed no signs of walking, but he wasn t idle. He talked so much that we all quit listening to
what he said. It was about this time that Daddy built him a go cart and I had to pull him around.
At first I just paraded him up and down the piazza,8 but then he started crying to be taken out
into the yard, and it ended up by my having to lug him wherever I went. If I so much as picked
up my cap, he d start crying to go with me and Mama would call from where she was, Take
Doodle with you. He was a burden in many ways. The doctor had said that he mustn t get too
excited, too hot, too cold, or too tired and that he must always be treated gently. A long list of
don ts went with him, all of which I ignored once we got out of the house. To discourage his
coming with me, I d run with him across the ends of the cotton rows and careen him around
corners on two wheels. Sometimes I accidentally turned him over, but he never told Mama. His
skin was very sensitive, and he had to wear a big straw hat whenever he went out.

Imobilizing Enzymes
The purpose of immobilising enzymes before they are used to catalyse a reaction is to be reused
again because they are not completely lost in the solution. We immobilised lactase enzyme by
dissolving it in sodium alginate gel. This is one of the more widely used practises in industry as it
is very efficient and effective. We can see that by our experiment by immobilising the enzymeand
could retain it even after it has been involved in the reaction by catalysing the breakdown of lactose
in glucoseand galactose.
Lactose was contained within the milk and as the milk met the immobilised lactase, it began to
break down into glucose and galactose. The results show, as the lactose in the milk was left to
the lactase for longer, the break down into glucose and galactose increased. This can be seen by
the colour change. To begin with we tested the milk for glucose by dipping the clinistix before
the treatment and the result was negative, showing that no glucose was present. Once the milk
was exposed in the lactase enzyme for 5 minutes it had already begun to break down into glucose
and galactose, the first test showed some signs of glucose as had turned from blue to light green.
As the experiment progressed and the milk was left in the lactase enzyme for longer, more and
more was broken down into glucose and galactose, this is evident by ... Show more content on

This will give a quantitative, which would produce more accurate tables and graphs. I could use a

Walt Disney Corrupts
Disney is a lie. Why? This corrupt company brainwashes consumers into handing over their hard
earned money in order to purchase overpriced merchandise, all while under a facade of innocence
and happiness. Fairy tale endings and a cheerful mouse might represent Disney s projected values,
but underneath the exterior lay indicators of Disney s corrupt ideals. Common people are deceived
into handing over their hard earned money to corrupt companies in order to purchase overpriced
products. The power that these companies gain allows these businesses to control, to a certain
extent, politics and influence political decisions. These companies will not hesitate to fire American
workers in order to save a handful of dollars and stifle any trace of dissent. Therefore, large

Disney spent around $2.5 million on support for Republicans and their campaign in 2012 because
of the anti Florida casino stance of Republican state legislators. Holding influence over potentially
powerful legislators would decrease the chance of more casinos appearing in southern Florida,
which would detriment Disney s profit from Walt DisneyWorld in Orlando, Florida (Zara).
Furthermore, Walt Disney, the founder of Disney, imposed his political beliefs by marketing films

How Was Henry Ford Successful
Henry Ford was born July 30, 1863 in Greenfield, Michigan. He is most famous for manufacturing
the Ford Model T, the first production car ever made. At a young age, Ford demonstrated his
mechanical ability, facility for leadership and learning by trial and error, ultimately developing the
foundation for his career.
Henry Ford learned about steam engines by becoming friends with people who ran them and
eventually, in 1879 he left the farm to become an apprentice at the Michigan car company, a
Detroit based railroad car manufacturer. In 1888, Ford married Clara Jane Bryant and had one
child named Edsel. Ford supported himself by farming and running a sawmill.
Although Henry Ford did not invent the automobile itself, he instead contributed to the creation of
horseless carriage and developed and manufactured the first production automobile: The Ford
Model T. Before that, Henry Ford went through a few successes and a few struggles. 1896 was the
year he got promoted to chief engineer for Edison Illuminating Company. In the same year, Ford

the result of this, the effect of this new standard as potentially eliminating the net worth of the non

the beginning of the conversion of MRPS from not being reported as a liability to being required

will firms balance sheets show an increase in liabilities, but also ratios related to a firm s debt will

Japanese Economy During The World War
Introduction Since the Second World War, the Japanese economy had experienced remarkable
growth, transforming from a developing to an advanced developed economy in a single
generation. However, on the edge of a three decade long Economic Miracle, in the late 1980s,
Japan faced its regrettable bubble economy in which asset prices rapidly soared, money supply
and credit underwent sizable increase, and economic activity overheated for a prolonged period
(Okina p.396). At the bubble s peak in 1989, the Japanese stock market obtained a value of around
$4 trillion, reaching the benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average of ВҐ38,915 (four times the level
they had been in 1983) (Siebert p.9). This was approximately 44 percent of the world s equity
market capitalization (Stone p.149). At around similar time frame, Japan also saw a spectacular
surge in land prices with the land values five times that of the United States (Stone p.149). Hence,
during this time, the economy relished an investment and consumption boom to the extent that
Japan rapidly became known as the world s largest creditor country. However, such record
growth fell drastically with the burst of the bubble: the stock market plummeted by over 60
percent from its peak in 1989 to 1992 while speculative land prices fell over 50 percent and
essential land prices declined by about 15 to 20 percent (Okina p.397). Overall, the bursting of the
bubble resulted in a detrimental decline in asset prices, the accumulation of enormous

Speech On Population Control
Population control is at its highest demand in all of history. We have a growing population and
limited resources. Droughts, oil shortage, artificial food to keep up are just a few to name.
Scientist debate whether we will be able to civilize onto another planet in our future. While
moving to a new planet is a great idea, I think it s a better idea to control the growth of civilization
and the consumption of our resources on our own planet first. Besides, who needs seven kids in
their familyanyway? Why do we need to keep people who have lost all quality of life alive, while
they continue to use up resources?
We have limited resources and an over populated planet that shows no sign of slowing down.
While Deforestation has slowed down, we are still burning through our tress too fast for our
planet to keep up. We have mass agriculture growth, but our food is grown with chemicals that
are being found to create more problems than we can keep up with. We ve had several different
droughts all over the world and some places still don t even have clean water access. We seem to
continue to find ways to slow down our own destruction, but these solutions seem to only make
matters worse in the long run. We are an unstable planet that fixes one problem by creating a new
one. We have too many people on this planet that take more than the earth must offer and
eventually our planet will no longer be able to provide and we are not yet to the point where we
can pick up and move on to the

Business International Between Cuban And Usa Case Study
Topic: Business international between Cuba and USA
Introduction
To understand about Cuba before doing business in or with that country is important know
geographical location, its form of government including their trade relations, the political context
and its location in world geopolitics, its population, language, culture, use of technology, labor, its
financial system in economic terms and of course it s kind currency and exchange rate.
Historically, political and economic relations between US and Cuba have not been friendly; In this

Intelligence officials in US are closely studying Soviet technology of the era of the Cold War to
determine whether an electronic weapon was used in the acoustic attacks that took place in Havana
from late 2016 until last August.
The US researchers are still not sure who was right behind the apparent attack, but a former US
intelligence has as main theory that what happened was work of Cuban intelligence, possibly even
a deserter faction of Cuban spies waiting derail restored diplomatic relations between Havana and
Washington.
This is important to consider when thinking of doing business with that country and from my point
of view is not desirable at this time until the relationship between United States and Cuba are fully
and officially defined.
Labor force participation labor is mainly in the estate sector (72.3%) and 27.7% in the nonstate
sector according to data from 2016. Note that not shown on the official website of the Government

Management By Exception-Active (Fb-A)
At one point or time everyone has dreamed of that perfect leader. Whether or not we achieve that
status can vary with many different situations. Over the short amount of time attending this class
we ve learned about many different leadership behaviors. One behavior that hit home to me and I
find important is managementby exception active (MBE A).
I m sure we ve all had that strict father or mother that was always watching us making sure we
cleaned our room, did our homework, and came home on time. MBE A keeps people and processes
in control, monitoring and controlling followers through forced compliance with rules, regulations,
and expectations for meeting performance standards and behavioral norms (Mod 3 Full Range
Leadership Development). My mom would ve been quick with that belt to correct me if she saw
that I haven t cleaned my room or came home before dinner because that was her standard. Just

lot of SSgt s and TSgt s has been disregarding what their airman has been doing lately like not
showing up for physical training or not completing their end of day duty checks. It s not until an
airman makes a mistake when a noncommissioned officer (NCO) corrects them on their
wrongdoing. I believe this is a careless way of doing things and there seems to be no initiative to
want to make things better. I was always a firm believer that you should leave the things you are
in charge of better than it was before. So when you are in charge of an additional duty, airman or

How to Deal with Temper Tantrums
Children are the bundles of joy of each family. Having a child in a family means laughs, jokes,
playing, and a fun time with this child. No matter how bad the day was, as soon as parents see
their child smiles, they forget all about the bad day, and smile back at their child. In fact, some
parents wish to stay 24 hours with their children to enjoy their first smiles, first laughs, first words,
and first steps. For most of them, all their time with their children is enjoyable, except one particular
time. When children throw tantrums, when a child whines, cries, screams, throws him/herself on
the floor, and maybe runs out of the house with no known reason, most parents wish not to be in
their child s presence because of the screaming. Parents, in order to overcome these tantrums, deal
with their children in many different ways. However, the question remains asked over years: What
s the best way to deal with toddlers tantrums?
Some parents react to a tantrum with yelling and spanking the child to force him/her to stop crying,
but the more the parent yells, the more the child cries. In an interview with Cathy W, a motherof a
two and half boy, she states about her son, When Jove throws a tantrum, I used to respond to that
by yelling and him, and even spanking him. Then, I realized that my yelling and spanking don t
solve the problem; they make Jove cries more. In addition, in a survey between twelve parents, a
mother stated that she thought about changing her way of dealing

Earned Tax Credit Policy Analysis
For a start, as my policy analysis term paper, I subjectively selected the Earned Income Tax
Credit (EITC), based on my personal experience with the policy and from curiosity as how the
mechanisms of the policy truly operate. With that being said, the United States federal Earned
Income Tax Credit or Earned Income Credit (EITC or EIC) is a refundable taxcredit for low to
moderate income individuals and couples particularly those with children (IRS, 2013). In this
paper, I will first introduce the Earned Income TaxCredit policy followed by the description of the
problems/social inequalities that necessitated the policy. Next, I will then describe the policy in

Self Presentation Is Described As Playing Out A Self
Spencer Cermeno

Bernie Mac Research Paper
17 October 2015
1.)Self presentation is described as playing out a self to the reaction and anticipation of others (p.
32). Men and women both modify their self presentation to the reaction of others. In a classic study
noted by Crawford of female college students who were provided with details of male students who
were either desirable or undesirable as a potential date and who was characterized as having
traditional or more modern values, According to the textbook the study found that, When women
thought they would have the opportunity to meet the man, they changed their descriptions of
themselves to fit the man s traditional or modern values but only if he was attractive (p.25). Self
presentation can be looked at as calculated choices, choices that are made under certain
circumstances in order to appeal to certain groups or others. For example, when Jordan overheard
his uncle Bernie and his friends making fun of him for doing gymnastics he decided to get into
basketball again to please his uncle. Another example is Briana, when her mother wants her to be
more tough and aggressive when she s out on the field she begins to do so because she s wants to
please her mother. According to the textbook doing genderis, the second level of the gender system,
and that, gender is created, performed, and perpetuated in social interaction (p. xix). The concept of
doing gender is not only creating and performing contrasts,

Essay on Learning Theory Applied to Health Care
Learning Theory Applied to Health Care The purpose of this paper is to discuss a learning theory
with application to a teaching learning situation in health care. This paper will focus on the social
learning theory and its application to the teaching learning process in nursing. I will explore a clear
definition of the theory and present the main concepts. Lastly, I will apply my knowledge of the
social learningtheory by describing how I use it in a health care setting when educating student
nurses during senior practicum.

Therefore, it is important to identify the learner s perception, interpretation and response to the
social situation in which they are learning. This can be particularly important in the health care
environment. Learning and behavior occur because of the interaction of environmental and
cognitive factors occurring within a social context by observation, imitation, and modeling the
behaviors, attitudes and emotional reactions of others (Abbott, 2007; Ormrod, 1999). Bandura
(1977) uses a four step approach when implementing learning consisting of four phases: Attentional
, Retention, Reproduction, and Motivational. The attentional phase is when the learner observes
the role model. The processing and memorization of the observations takes place in the retention
phase. The learner performs the learned action or behavior in the reproduction phase. Lastly, the
motivation phase focuses on the learner s motivation to perform the behavior depending on their
perception of reward or punishment as a consequence. This is known as vicarious reinforcement
(Bastable , 2008).
Application of Learning Theory to Health care Setting As a Registered Nurse I have had the
opportunity to be a preceptor to a number of nursing students. I take this role very seriously as I am
aware of the impact that my mentoring has on the students learning experience, competence and

Cost And Purpose Of Sales Promotion
1: INTRODUCTION
1.1. Introduction to sales promotion
Meaning and Purpose of Sales Promotion:
Sales promotion consists of all promotional activities other than advertising, personal selling and
publicity that help to increase sales through non repetitive and one time communication. In other
words, it includes marketing activities other than personal selling, advertising, and publicity, that
stimulate consumer purchasing and dealer effectiveness, such as point of purchase displays, shows
and exhibitions, demonstrations and various non recurring selling efforts not in the ordinary
routine. Purpose: The ultimate aim or purpose of sales promotion is that of increasing the volume

For example, the greater the geographical dispersion of a target market, the greater the
communication expenditure required. Similarly, if an offering is in its early life cycle, there is a
greater need of expenditure. But promotion budget should always justify the tasks to be undertaken.
A basic principle would be the cost and returns of sales promotion tools to be adopted. Hindustan
Lever has its well drawn up sales promotion budget. If any business house does not have its
promotion budget fixed, then promotion programmes will have to be designed to support the
marketing plan.
(vi) Government regulations:
Government has passed various laws and made rules to protect the consumer interest, such as the
prevention of Food Adulteration Act, the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable
Advertisements) Act, and Drugs and Cosmetics Act etc. Sales promotion policy must take into
consideration the government regulations relating to the particular product, e.g. the commodity
rates must be specified on the package and in case of medicines drug contents and date of

qualitative methods in your research, but one can only use a small sample and often it is not

good to use both in a research design. In the inductive approach of looking at my research, I
would use the qualitative method to perform interviews. I would have to pick a subject that has

Biblical Allusions to The Grapes of Wrath Essay example
Biblical Allusions to The Grapes of Wrath
John Steinbeck was born in Salinas, California, on February 27, 1902. He studied marine
biology at Stanford University and then traveled east on a freighter through the Panama Canal.
Steinbeck went to New York to work as a newspaper reporter but soon returned to California and
held a variety of jobs while he wrote. Steinbeck published Tortilla Flat in 1935, Of Mice and Men
in 1937, and The Red Pony in 1937, which established his reputation as a forceful writer. In 1939
he wrote The Grapes of Wrath, which summoned up the despair and hardship of the early 1930 s.

Above all it showed everyone that these damn Okies were all simply men, women, and children,
no different from anyone else, just poorer (Frohock 133). They were human beings with feelings
and not the uncivilized beasts they were portrayed as at the time. John Steinbeck carefully molded
his story The Grapes of Wrath to encompass many themes and ideas. To help enforce his message
Steinbeck included several Biblical allusions. John Steinbeck uses Biblical allusions to create the
theme that strength to survive comes from faith by using characters and events. Steinbeck creates
the theme of the novel by alluding the characters in his story to characters in the Bible. Jim Casy is
an allusion to Jesus Christ. They have the same initials and live their lives as examples of their
beliefs: Jesus to the world as Casy is to Tom (Rombold 149). Casy even compares himself to
Christ when he says, I got tired like Him, an I got mixed up like Him, an I went into the
wilderness like Him, without no campin stuff (105). In the first half of the book Casy is
thinking and forming his ideas. He changes from a thinker to a man of action when he sacrifices
himself for Tom (Slade 242). When in prison Casy sees the advantage of organizing people to
achieve a common goal. When Casy tried to put his ideas into action he, like Christ, aroused the
antagonism of the people in authority and was brutally killed. He died, like Christ saying to his
crucifiers,

The Between Germany And The European Union
Germany is located in Central Europe, Northern Hemisphere. Germany s population (82 million
people), is the largest population in the European Union, although the population has declined in the
past decade by 2 million people.
On the German flag, the colours red, black and yellow all represent something. The first stripe,
(black) is meant to represent determination. The second stripe (red) represents many concepts such
as hardiness, bravery, strength and valour. The last horizontal stripe (gold/yellow) it represents
Generosity.
Political History of Germany
In 1848, Germany was divided into 39 separate states that had experienced a number of revolutions
in many parts of the country. The revolutionaries tried to force their rulers to allow greater political
freedom and tried to unify the separate states into one country. By 1849 the revolutionaries had
been ceased across Germany and kings and princes regained their power. Liberal nationalists all
over Germany now saw the chance to create a new united Germany. These liberal national
Politicians met in Frankfurt at the new preliminary parliament (vorparliment) to make arrangements
for setting up the new constitutional law. Due to this, the economy had experienced significant
changes in the1850s and 1860s. Before World War 1 had begun there where a lot of defence
alliances existed between the between major European counties. This meant that if one of the

The Strengths And Weaknesses Of Public Speaking

need to reference some of my weakness related to the issue.
First, although I am a good story teller, know how to use a light hearted joke once in a while, and
can formulate an impact title for my talks, I find it difficult to create a strong opener that will grab
the audience s attention, and imprint it with a sticky or thoroughline. Possibly the problem is I am
very conservative with the topics I choose, or I think others have already given powerful
messages on the subject, so there s nothing more I can add beyond what they have heard. In

comprehend what you re saying if you want them to respond positively. This works well for me
when I do it. However, if I am invited unexpectedly to speak as has happened frequently I forget

messages and talks are received with greater understanding.
As stated, I enjoy public speaking. I believe it is a God given. Because of this, I need to

need to take responsibility for my shortcomings and oversights. Paul, in Romans 12, strongly

Infection Control
Since the manual handling task requires close contact with the patient, all handlers should follow
strict infection control protocols in ICU. A recent study showed that by strictly following infection
control protocols the incidence of hospital acquired infections could be reduced (8). In addition, an
observational study concluded that better hospital wide infection control would reduce the number
of MRSA positive patients admitted to ICU and acquisition of MRSA within ICU (9). Therefore, it
is important to minimize the spread of the infection by performing the following aseptic techniques.

However, there is no universal approach and best practices must be adapted to fit the
epidemiology of specific ICUs and should also consider the available resources (10).
Radiation safety
Radiation safety of patients, radiographers and other individuals in ICU should be considered
according to the As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principle. General radiation safety
principles include time, distance and shielding (7). Since the patient is male, no pregnancy check is
needed.
To protect the patient, the length of time that a patient remains in the path of the x ray beam should
be minimized. Therefore, it is important for radiographers to avoid unnecessary repeats and thus
unnecessary exposure. Gonad shielding should be used on patients if possible, which is particularly
important for young patients. In addition, proper collimations and adjusted exposure factors should
be applied according to patient situations to minimize radiation dose (7).
Radiographers should protect themselves as well. The time spent in radiation fields should be
limited by taking shifts. Radiographers should stand as far away from source as possible to
increase distance between radiation source and themselves. They should stand behind appropriate
radiation shields or, more commonly, wear appropriate protection (7). According to a previous
study, lead apron is the most common method of radiation protection as it may

The R V. Dudley And Stephens Case Essay
The R v. Dudley and Stephens case occurred in 1884. In May of that year, four men left
Southampton, England for Australia on the Mignonette, a private sailing yacht. These men
were Captain Thomas Dudley (31), mate Edward Stephens (36), seaman Edmond Brooks (38),
and cabin boy Richard Parker (17). While crossing the South Atlantic near the Cape of Good
Hope in July, bad weather struck the yacht and it sunk. The men managed to escape into the
lifeboat, and two one pound tins of turnips were the only food they subsisted on for four days.
They caught a small turtle on the fourth day that lasted eight days, and were without food for
another eight days after. The only fresh water they had was the rain that came from time to time.
On the sixteenth day of drifting Richard Parker became ill from drinking seawater. On the
eighteenth day Dudley and Stephens approached Brooks with the idea that they should sacrifice
one person to save the rest. Brooks dissented, and they did not consult Parker as he was ill. On
July 24th Dudley and Stephens reasoned with Brooks, saying that since they had families to
take care of it was most logical to kill the boy and save themselves. They proposed that if there were
no vessels in sight the next day they would kill Parker. As there were no vessels, Dudley killed
Parker by slitting his throat; the boy was so ill he did not resist. Brooks dissented until Parker s
death, but also fed on the blood and flesh of Parker with the two accused for four days.

One reason the Tea Party movement is an effective political force in our society is because it is
respectable, meaning others take it more seriously than other political forces. Kim Geiger of the
Los Angeles Times writes that sixty members of the House of Representatives are apart of the
movement. She also states that the average net worth of the House of Representatives in 2010
was $755,000 and that the average net worth of the 60 Tea Party members in the House is $1.8
million. Not only are these members apart of Congress, which places them pretty high in how
much respect they receive from others, but they are also very wealthy, which adds to their respect
that much more. The Tea Party movement is also respectable because it has received praise from
other political figures in society who are viewed as respectable. In an interview with Piers Morgan
on CNN, Rudy Giuliani said the members of the Tea Party are respectable people (Nick Wing). In
his article from the Huffington Post, Wing also says that Giuliani even endorsed a Tea Party
member who was a Republican candidate for Senate in Florida. Although Giuliani may not be a

The Importance Of Leadership In The Aeneid
What would you do if your homeland was destroyed and you were forced to seek another home
in a faraway country? Would it test your leadership skills? Would you become timid in the face
of such a tremendous task? Well, this is exactly what is faced by Aeneas in the epic poem, The
Aeneid. Except on top of every other obstacle in his way he is also responsible for getting all of
the other survivors to their new homeland. However, the whole story is overshadowed by a
battle for power between the Gods that Aeneas is caught in the middle of. While much of what
Aeneas does throughout the poem shows great leadership skills, he is still a human and has
flaws. We see many of the Army s core values as we look at Aeneas leadership style. It is these
values that we will be talking about today. First I will be talking about how duty affects Aeneas
leadership style. Secondly, I will discuss how respect affects his ability to lead his men through
the trials and tribulations which they must endure throughout the epic. Thirdly, I will talk about
how we can see selfless service demonstrated through his actions. Fourthly, I will be discussing
how his honor dives his whole life and how we can see this demonstrated throughout the story.
Fifthly, I will give examples of how Aeneas Integrity shaped his leadership style. Sixthly, I will talk
about how personal courage is shown by the whole group of Trojans that embarked on the journey.
Finally, I will give a brief overview of how all of these

delinquent advocates, the prison system is not adolescent friendly when it comes to girls. Lateefah
insists that there is a worldwide misconception about bad girls, being that there is no meaningful
way to rehabilitate, which results to the system throwing away children lives forever. In order to
shy away from this misconception, Lateefah and other lobbyists for at risk youth gets girls like the
three in the documentary, to attend rehabilitative centers such... Show more content on

She was in this program for 18 months. The thing that stood out to me the most about Shangra s
case was her ability to overcome her past life. She was at first a confused child at the mercy of
her mother. Her delinquent acts was said to be a result of her and her mother s bond. This
emotional hold on the daughter seemed to have forced Shangra into believing she needs to take
care of her mom, to do so she must indulge herself in illegal activity. Towards the end of the
documentary, however, she was able to graduate from the center with new outlook on life. I
believe the Juvenile Justice system was fair in its decision with Shangra s case. Instead of
locking her up in a jail cell for 8 years they gave her an alternative that proved to be beneficial for
her down the road. It gave her structural support and the motivation she needed to deter her ways
from delinquent acts. Second to be mentioned by the documentary is Stephanie. Stephanie was
arrested for trespassing at age 13. In the video she has a warrant for her arrest from running from
law enforcement officers. After her last encounter with the law Stephanie decides to turn herself in.
After she turned herself in she was put on probation and had to wear an ankle monitor for 6th
months. Upon finishing her probation Stephanie went and got her GED. She aspires to be a
business major, so she went to a community college to study

Swimming To Antarctica Analysis
Did you know that swimming became an Olympic sport in 1908, but women were not allowed to
participate until 1912? That same year, Australian swimmer, Fanny Durack, became the first
woman to win a gold medal in the 100 yard freestyle. Why do you think that woman weren t
allowed the first few years? Is it because some believed women were not tough enough to handle it?
In Lynn Cox s memoir Swimmingto Antarctica (Tales of a Long Distance Swimmer), Cox not
only expresses the dedication and determination it takes to be an Olympic long distance
swimmer, but that she also states that personal dreams are achievable if one is willing enough to
work hard to achieve their goals. Cox found the water to be very peaceful in her first distance
race at a young age, ever since then, she felt as though she finally found what she was meant to
do. If Cox needs any gift at all, it would be a picture of her 2 years before she started long
distance swimming. That picture would show her how much she improved because when she
was young she used be very concerned about how slow of a swimmer she was. Also she would be
able to inspire not only herself but other people who feel the same way.... Show more content on

When she first began training for swimming competitively she struggled to keep up with the
other swimmers. After two years of intense training she not only was able to significantly
increase her speed but also increased her training routine by double. Text From Book . By her
gift, Cox realizes that even though she she doesn t have the perfect physique for swimming she
is still able to perform the impossible. Knowing that she would not ever get discouraged while
swimming. Her figure allows her to generate more body heat then she uses which allowed her to
stay warm during races. Even thought she might no be as fast she will still have more endurance
because she will be able to keep a warmer body temperature, which gives her an

Persuasive Essay On Space Mountain
It was our first trip to Disney World, and we were visiting what I thought, was the scariest ride in
the world. I thought that certain ride was scary, because ever since I was five I would always
throw up on the roller coasters, or even car rides. I hated roller coasters ever since I threw up. I
thought to myself, This is Disney World we re talking about, I have to go on this ride, I need
this. I promised myself I would go on every single ride here. I will get over this fear. After that
thought I looked at my dad, as he was already planning on going on this ride. The ride was called
Space Mountain, I was told that people with motion sickness shouldn t go on the ride, but that
won t stop me. I ve also been told it is a pretty cool and fun ride, so that is another reason why I m
going on Space Mountain. Daddy, I told him. I wanna go on Space Mountain. I felt so confident
in that one moment of my life. My mom gives me a look. Peanut, you shouldn t go on that ride,
you will get sick and puke. She says. I look back at my mom then my dad. My dad whispers
something into her ear as my mom turns to me and hands me a doggie bag.
Use this just in case you puke. She says. Have fun sweetie, my mom says softly. My dad takes my
hand and tells me he is proud of me, he leads me to Space Mountain.
As soon as I looked up, I felt sick, the structure and ride was so big. I didn t know that I could do
it, but I had to, I couldn t chicken out in front my Dad. After all I already told him I would go. We
walked into Space Mountain, there were lights everywhere we looked. I started to jump up and
down, I started to get excited for once about a roller coaster, I felt so proud of myself, I would
actually get a chance to ride a roller coaster again! I felt scared, and I also felt so happy and proud
of myself at the same time. My Mom and brother chickened out on going, so I felt so alive, and
mature to be riding such a big ride. I looked at the line, there were no people, we were early! Come
on Daddy, there are more people coming behind us! Behind me and my dad, were a big group of
people walking in, we wanted first in front of the, so I ran and dashed through the aisle, the lights
lit up

Why Is Softball Harder Than Baseball
Have you ever wondered if softball is harder than baseball, or even the other way around? Both
softball and baseball are challenging sports. They have the same basics, and some of the same
rules. They have plenty of things in common, but one is definitely harder than the other. Softball is
harder than baseballbecause of the size of the bats and balls, the reaction time, and the difference
in pitching. First, you must know the comparison of a softball, a baseball, and both of their bats.
A softball is 12 inches in diameter, and a baseball is 5 inches. Also, a softball is heavier than a
baseball, so therefore it takes a lot more effort to throw and hit. Though, a softball is bigger, it is
also bright yellow, being the same color as the sun. When you re playing softball in midday,
while the sun is beating down hard on your skin, and your eyes, it may be a little harder to see.
The diameter of a softball bat is usually around 2 Вј inches, but a baseball bat is around 2 Вѕ inches
(The). The softball bat may be just a tiny bit smaller than a baseball bat, but when you re playing,
it makes a lot of difference.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the softball field is much smaller than a baseball field, you have a lot less reaction time
than you think. The pitching mound is closer to the home plate in a softball field. Therefore,
when a pitch is thrown to the home plate, you have to see the ball and make sure that you have
enough time to swing your bat. Also, while the pitching mound very close to home plate, the
pitcher also has to figure out a way to get the batter out. They could throw curveballs, screwballs,
or rise balls. This gives the batter much less of an advantage at the home plate. With the pitcher
throwing these kinds of balls, the batter still has very little reaction

  • 5. Reflection On Experiential Family Therapy Experiential Theory Candida A. Phelps Liberty University Experiential Family Therapy In current practices of psychodynamic family therapy, it leans towards integration and diversity in recognition of the limitations of any single therapeutic model (Evans, 2012). A wide variety of family therapies have arose which may be described as psycho dynamic and there is not an opportunity to address all of them. This review will discuss experiential family therapy. In the early twentieth century, the foundations of the psychodynamic theory was laid by Sigmund Freud. Freud focused his attention mainly on individuals and not so much on the family, but he did recognize that family is important in human development (Evans, 2012). Yet, succeeding theoreticians plus family counselors have utilized the ideologies of psychoanalysis in the expansion of family therapy (Evans, 2012). Ludwig Binswanger, a psychologist who disagreed with Freud s theories of human beings, is said to have brought the concepts of existential and phenomenological thought into the field of psychology (Mahrer, 1983). With the dissatisfaction of the limitations of Freud s theory, Binswanger started to search outside the existing areas of psychological theories for other models to explain the thoughts and behavior of individuals (Mahrer, 1983). The experiential theory for family therapy was developed by Virginia Satir(Satir, et al, 1991) and Carl Whitaker (Whitaker and Bumberry, 1988) and can be loosely ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of the most important quotes in the book is said by a woman who refuses to leave her home while her books are being burned. She recites a line from History of the British Empire (1870) Play the man, Master Ridley; we shall this day light such a candle, by God s grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out. Montag goes to meet Faber, and he brings a copy of the Bible. When he begins his journey to meet Beatty Faber reads him the book of Job to comfort him. The biggest quote from the Bible is said by Montag at the end of the book. He is contemplating what to share with his new acquaintances, when he remembers the verse Revelations 22:2 And on the other side of the river was there a tree of life...and the leaves of the tree were the healing of the nations (Page 158). This verse implies a renewal or a cycle, in which hope is given after a disaster. Bombs destroyed the city, but now the leaves (perhaps books, or knowledge) will heal the survivors. The Bible is timeless, so by including quotes and references in the novel, Bradbury implies that the power of books is also timeless. After meeting with Faber, Montag makes his way to the firehouse, but first stops at his home. He finds Mildred and her friends, and becomes unraveled when interacting with them. We can see that by our experiment by immobilising the enzymeand could retain it even after it has been involved in the reaction by catalysing the breakdown of lactose in glucoseand galactose. Lactose was contained within the milk and as the milk met the immobilised lactase, it began to break down into glucose and galactose. The results show, as the lactose in the milk was left to the lactase for longer, the break down into glucose and galactose increased. This can be seen by the colour change. To begin with we tested the milk for glucose by dipping the clinistix before the treatment and the result was negative, showing that no glucose was present. Once the milk was exposed in the lactase enzyme for 5 minutes it had already begun to break down into glucose and galactose, the first test showed some signs of glucose as had turned from blue to light green. Japanese Economy During The World War Introduction Since the Second World War, the Japanese economy had experienced remarkable growth, transforming from a developing to an advanced developed economy in a single generation. However, on the edge of a three decade long Economic Miracle, in the late 1980s, Japan faced its regrettable bubble economy in which asset prices rapidly soared, money supply and credit underwent sizable increase, and economic activity overheated for a prolonged period (Okina p.396). At the bubble s peak in 1989, the Japanese stock market obtained a value of around $4 trillion, reaching the benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average of ВҐ38,915 (four times the level they had been in 1983) (Siebert p.9). • 23. How to Deal with Temper Tantrums Children are the bundles of joy of each family. Having a child in a family means laughs, jokes, playing, and a fun time with this child. No matter how bad the day was, as soon as parents see their child smiles, they forget all about the bad day, and smile back at their child. In fact, some parents wish to stay 24 hours with their children to enjoy their first smiles, first laughs, first words, and first steps. For most of them, all their time with their children is enjoyable, except one particular time. When children throw tantrums, when a child whines, cries, screams, throws him/herself on the floor, and maybe runs out of the house with no known reason, most parents wish not to be in their child s presence because of the screaming. Parents, in order to overcome these tantrums, deal with their children in many different ways. However, the question remains asked over years: What s the best way to deal with toddlers tantrums? Some parents react to a tantrum with yelling and spanking the child to force him/her to stop crying, but the more the parent yells, the more the child cries. In an interview with Cathy W, a motherof a two and half boy, she states about her son, When Jove throws a tantrum, I used to respond to that by yelling and him, and even spanking him. Then, I realized that my yelling and spanking don t solve the problem; they make Jove cries more. Self Presentation Is Described As Playing Out A Self Spencer Cermeno 5000269 Bernie Mac Research Paper 17 October 2015 1.)Self presentation is described as playing out a self to the reaction and anticipation of others (p. 32). Men and women both modify their self presentation to the reaction of others. In a classic study noted by Crawford of female college students who were provided with details of male students who were either desirable or undesirable as a potential date and who was characterized as having traditional or more modern values, According to the textbook the study found that, When women thought they would have the opportunity to meet the man, they changed their descriptions of themselves to fit the man s traditional or modern values but only if he was attractive (p.25). Self presentation can be looked at as calculated choices, choices that are made under certain circumstances in order to appeal to certain groups or others. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, it is important to identify the learner s perception, interpretation and response to the social situation in which they are learning. This can be particularly important in the health care environment. Learning and behavior occur because of the interaction of environmental and cognitive factors occurring within a social context by observation, imitation, and modeling the behaviors, attitudes and emotional reactions of others (Abbott, 2007; Ormrod, 1999). Bandura (1977) uses a four step approach when implementing learning consisting of four phases: Attentional , Retention, Reproduction, and Motivational. The attentional phase is when the learner observes the role model. The processing and memorization of the observations takes place in the retention phase. The learner performs the learned action or behavior in the reproduction phase. Lastly, the motivation phase focuses on the learner s motivation to perform the behavior depending on their perception of reward or punishment as a consequence. This is known as vicarious reinforcement (Bastable , 2008). • 43. Persuasive Essay On Space Mountain It was our first trip to Disney World, and we were visiting what I thought, was the scariest ride in the world. I thought that certain ride was scary, because ever since I was five I would always throw up on the roller coasters, or even car rides. I hated roller coasters ever since I threw up. I thought to myself, This is Disney World we re talking about, I have to go on this ride, I need this. I promised myself I would go on every single ride here. I will get over this fear. After that thought I looked at my dad, as he was already planning on going on this ride. The ride was called Space Mountain, I was told that people with motion sickness shouldn t go on the ride, but that won t stop me. I ve also been told it is a pretty cool and fun ride, so that is another reason why I m going on Space Mountain. Daddy, I told him. I wanna go on Space Mountain. I felt so confident in that one moment of my life. My mom gives me a look. Peanut, you shouldn t go on that ride, you will get sick and puke. She says. I look back at my mom then my dad. My dad whispers something into her ear as my mom turns to me and hands me a doggie bag. Use this just in case you puke. She says. Have fun sweetie, my mom says softly. My dad takes my hand and tells me he is proud of me, he leads me to Space Mountain. As soon as I looked up, I felt sick, the structure and ride was so big. I didn t know that I could do it, but I had to, I couldn t chicken out in front my Dad. After all I already told him I would go. We walked into Space Mountain, there were lights everywhere we looked. I started to jump up and down, I started to get excited for once about a roller coaster, I felt so proud of myself, I would actually get a chance to ride a roller coaster again! I felt scared, and I also felt so happy and proud of myself at the same time. My Mom and brother chickened out on going, so I felt so alive, and mature to be riding such a big ride. I looked at the line, there were no people, we were early! Come on Daddy, there are more people coming behind us! Behind me and my dad, were a big group of people walking in, we wanted first in front of the, so I ran and dashed through the aisle, the lights lit up ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They have the same basics, and some of the same rules. They have plenty of things in common, but one is definitely harder than the other. Softball is harder than baseballbecause of the size of the bats and balls, the reaction time, and the difference in pitching. First, you must know the comparison of a softball, a baseball, and both of their bats. A softball is 12 inches in diameter, and a baseball is 5 inches. Also, a softball is heavier than a baseball, so therefore it takes a lot more effort to throw and hit. Though, a softball is bigger, it is also bright yellow, being the same color as the sun. When you re playing softball in midday, while the sun is beating down hard on your skin, and your eyes, it may be a little harder to see. The softball bat may be just a tiny bit smaller than a baseball bat, but when you re playing, it makes a lot of difference.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since the softball field is much smaller than a baseball field, you have a lot less reaction time than you think. The pitching mound is closer to the home plate in a softball field. Therefore, when a pitch is thrown to the home plate, you have to see the ball and make sure that you have enough time to swing your bat. Also, while the pitching mound very close to home plate, the pitcher also has to figure out a way to get the batter out. They could throw curveballs, screwballs, or rise balls. This gives the batter much less of an advantage at the home plate. With the pitcher throwing these kinds of balls, the batter still has very little reaction ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
