Personalized magazines, or news aggregators,
are a way to take the content on the web and
pull-in only the content you really care about.
They use cues such as recommendations from
friends and your own reading habits to find
articles and other items that share your
interest.
3. How did it begin?
This trend really began to take off in July 2010
with the creation of an iPad application called
Flipboard.
It was quickly followed by others, such as Zite
and Taptu

5. What does this mean for
users?
• These applications will allow us to control what we
read.
Good:
• We don't have to sort through the news
• More people may read news and articles
Bad:
• We won't have access to other opinions besides what
we want (think Google search results)
• We will have even more targeted ad campaigns!
