in 2008 that I decided this was the field for me. I had the opportunity to volunteer
with the PeaceJam Foundation at a local conference; PeaceJam is an organization

committed to positive change in themselves, their communities, and the world. The

Abstract
On November nineteen, nineteen hundred and ninety six a United Express
Beechcraft nineteen hundred took off from Chicago. After an intermediate stop at
Burlington, Iowa the aircraft took off again for Quincy, Illinois at four forty PM. As
the Beechcraft was approaching Quincy, two aircraft were ready for departure.
Beechcraft King Air and Piper Cherokee were taxiing to runway zero four. Since

transmission, which led to the Beech 1900C pilots misunderstanding of the

rearranged into layers to form gluten.
The two main proteins involved in the gluten making process are gliadin and
glutenin. When starches are heated in water, they suck up the water and swell. They
eventually bust and the water that was incased inside the granule comes out and
forms a thick gel, this is called gelatinsiatation. This is not very common in bread as
not much water is used, so most granules don t bust but are incased with water. All
of these starch granules are all linked and the gluten s job is to break down and
release water, which is absorbed by the starch granules. This in turn makes the gluten
set and become stiff, which is why bread doesn t fold when taken out of the oven.
Water s main purpose is to hydrate the other ingredients. Water feeds the starch
proteins as stated above which starts the forming of dough. Water is also dispersed
evenly throughout the dough and since yeast needs moisture to work its magic water

wage (Source: BLS reports). Activists for raising the minimum wage claim that the
federal minimum wage of $7.25 is the reason they are living in poverty, and that the
wage must be raised for a better standard of living. Many people who take on
minimum wage jobs are young and work in companies that don t carry much prestige;
however, they still take pride in their work and demand higher pay (BLS reports). On
the other side of the issue, there are claims that raising the minimum wage will

These effects can be seen as a boost to the economy because those 28 million
workers would make use of their extra money, and put it back into the ever flowing
economy. This action by the workers would lead to an overall estimated 35 billion
dollar increase (Cap Action). Raising the minimum wage would also help lessen
the disparity of income that often occurs. I think many people can agree that some
