Personal Statement For Drive Wild
Author Statement for Drive Wild
I created "Drive Wild" to advertise the 2016 Ford Focus Electric. I took into consideration lighting,
media type, audience, color, imagery, composition, and text in an attempt to promote potential
consumers to buy the vehicle. I also kept in mind the common theme of the environment that most
electric vehicle advertisements use to persuade the consumers while creating my advertisement.
I created "Drive Wild" with the use of Photoshop. I knew the program would help me achieve my
desired look because of the variety of functions it offers over Microsoft Word. I used Photoshop's
capabilities of photo manipulation to integrate multiple images to create my own single image in an
attempt to persuade viewers to invest in a Ford Focus Electric. Making the single images seem like
they belonged together within the composition proved to be challenging. However, it was necessary
in order to get the look I desired.
One of the toughest part about getting the look I desired, besides making it look like one image, was
the lighting. I knew without proper lighting to integrate the single images into a unified whole the
advertisement would look fake and cheap. I wanted to avoid the advertisement looking like this
because of the low quality advertisements suggest a low quality product. Cheap looking
advertisements reduce the Ethos, which I wanted to avoid. Advertisements are based on the visual
aspects and without visual interest the ad is less persuasive to the

In-Depth Analysis Of The Lottery
My entire semester was devoted to the in–depth analysis of the lottery, and the debate of it being a
blessing or a curse. In relation to the lottery and the controversy I thought it would be more
beneficial in this documentary project to actually show you, which brought me to animaker. In the
animated video I illustrate four characters, one which in fact wins the lottery and becomes a
different person. In the video it takes you through the altercations of his psychological, behavioral,
and social health endanger and altered for the worse just as it was explained in the argumentative
research essay. The girl in the video named Zana explains why the lottery initiates the ruins of a
person, there was also two others that is presented in the video that argued against her points.
However in regards to their argument she show them the reasoning in a visual way through Matt's
testimony. Psychologically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the beginning to the end there was mention of statistical points that covered how much has
been spent on the lottery, the odds of winning, and the investment that went nowhere for America.
There was pathos, when their friend was a prime examples of what happens to winners, as they in
fact lose. Lastly was the logic which incorporated the evidence in relation to the characters and the
facts that were elaborate on. Although, all point that were presented to the audience had a purpose,
the strongest appeal would have to be ethos. With the acknowledgment of facts, statistics, and
scholarly insight to the situation, it gave support to the rebuttal's that were imbedded into the film by
the other characters. It's hard to argue with facts and as realization in this ethos sank in with the
incorporation of Matt and his situation, it conclusively gave way to a more clear and precise point in
response to this

An In-Depth Analysis Of Gender Issues In Cosmopolitan...
Introduction
Traditionally gender has been viewed as a simple binary category with certain dichotomies that exist
between the masculine and feminine. The categorization is borne from the belief that because men
and women are biologically different that is, different sexes, there will be a natural difference in the
way they behave within the society (language use being an important aspect of this behavior). There
is little evidence that this belief is based on anything other than stereotyping. Just by virtue that
women and men are biologically different, the society believes that the men and women should
behave different also and that each should be treated differently. The natural belief that men and
women are different has led to the rise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An essential aspect of this issue of Cosmopolitan is that its head editor was a woman, Helen Gurley
Brown, which indicates a female vision in the production of this magazine (Gurley Brown 1965).
Nonetheless, all the other important positions for the magazine, from the president of Hearst
Magazines, Richard E. Deems, to the head of Fiction, William Carrington Guy, were all men
(Gurley Brown 1965). This information paints an interesting picture, because of Gurley Brown's
position at the helm while valuable, still had to accommodate these other male visions on the
magazine. The rest of the positions are mostly filled by women, Fashion and Features,
Merchandising, Copy, Beauty, Staff Manager, and almost all of the Editorial Staff (Gurley Brown
1965). In this sense, Cosmopolitan was slowly turning not only in a women's magazine but in a

To evaluate and progress in the public health profession an initial in–depth analysis of all
components of the current status of the profession would be performed. Understanding the current

Collaboration with these professionals may be considered one of the key components utilized to

Sight And Survival Of Sight
Sight, for many people, is the one sense they feel would be the most difficult to live without. We
rely on sight to read, find our way around, cook our meals, do our jobs, and consume our
entertainment. For many animals, their sense of sight is of vital importance for their survival. For
example, hawks and eagles rely on their incredible vision to spot prey from the sky. Large predatory
cats, such as lions and jaguars, will use their improved night vision to hunt unsuspecting prey in the
dark. The loss of sight means almost certain death for a large amount of animals, as sight is mainly
used for awareness of surroundings, avoiding predators, and hunting prey. However, this is not to
say that some creatures do not rely on sight to survive; many animals, such as shrimp and fish in
low or zero–light environments have not evolved to have a sense of vision, but instead rely on other
senses to understand their surroundings, find prey, or avoid predators. Then again, sight is so
important for survival on Earth that it has independently evolved across multiple species1; this is
known as convergent evolution. As Darwin puts it, the eye, such a perfect organ, being formed by
natural selection seems "...absurd in the highest degree",1 but true nonetheless. Sight is one of the
greatest and most complex marvels produced by natural selection.

Analysis Of In Depth: The American Revolution
My advertisement was for the book In Depth: The American Revolution. With this ad, we used
humor, patriotism, and snob appeal. The message was that you would do better in history/social
studies and would "give you the inside scoop of the life of the founding fathers." We mainly focused
on a historical standpoint to get the message across. The ad was using elements from other
interpretations for a not–so obvious humor appeal. I've noticed that the ad was mainly pathos and
ethos, but mainly pathos. The humor itself came from the characters. The ad touched on the
interactions between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson, and how they constantly bicker on
ideas. However, it was showing that this book made them come to an agreement. Our humor

Intel Defense On Depth Strategy Analysis
Intel Defense in Depth Strategy Analysis Introduction As information systems become progressively
more complex, attackers also develop increasingly sophisticated attacks that threaten the integrity,
confidentiality, and availability of these systems. Consequently, Information Technology (IT)
security has become crucial to the survivability of the business. Companies may choose to employ
safeguards to protect themselves from such threats, but what happens if these controls fail? Incident
Response Plans (IRPs) are often employed as a means to mitigate and contain incidents when they
occur, but their effectiveness is only as good as the planning that goes into their development. In
response to this need, Intel has devised a strategy they refer to as Defense in Depth (DiDS). The
DiDS is an enhanced IRP designed to optimize security by using interlocking prediction, prevention,
detection, and response capabilities (Rosenquist, 2008). DiDS a security approach that strives to
keep pace and even exceed the efforts of attackers by proactively anticipating and reacting to threats
while providing a feedback loop to strengthen efforts after an incident has occurred. The goal of this
paper is to analyze Intel's DiDS as well as exhibit how an IT security manager might implement
such a philosophy to address what types of training, funding, and personnel resources it might take
to implement this approach successfully. Defense in Depth Before an assessment can be made, we

In-Depth Analysis Of The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby has been viewed as a standout masterpiece of American
writing since it was published in the 1920s. The novel has been distinctly consecrated in American
culture where it remains applicable and regularly read over ninety years after publication. Why it is
still relevant turns out to be clear when reading the novel. Fitzgerald tells a moderately contained
and straightforward story by using an elaborate style and concerning different distinctive topics. In
addition, it lets plenty of space for alternative views and speculations about some elements of the
novel. This essay will focus on a in–depth analysis of Nick Carraway, with the intention of

Nick travels to New York from West Egg with Tom Buchanan, stopping on the way to pick up
Myrtle, Tom's secret affair. They then head to an apartment where they, together with Myrtles sister
and the married couple, the McKees, have a party. Nick comments that at this afternoon it was the
second time in his life that he had been drunk and that everything therefore had a "dim, hazy cast
over it" (27– 32). At this party Nick meets the photographer Mr. McKee, which is a important scene
for characterizing Nick's sexuality. Nick describes McKee as "a pale, feminine man" (32) and it can
be assumed that there is some sort of attraction between the two men, because of events that will
follow. Nick and McKee end up leaving the party together, something Maggie Gordon Froehlich
says "clearly (if subtly) suggests a pickup" (215). The pair drunkenly stumble into the elevator
where they start making vague plans about going to lunch (39). At first sight, the confused
vagueness could be seen as a representation of their intoxication, but it could also be argued that
when looking closely, their talk about their plans to get lunch (when asked where, McKee answers
"anywhere" [39]) is subliminal homoerotic intended (because they are not planning lunch at all, but
rather planning to "do something" else). Whether or not the offer is salacious, the non specificity is

Why Do we have Two Eyes rather than one? Essay
Human beings have a remarkable ability of making accurate distance judgments based on the
images that form on the retina of the eyes. More specifically, humans can extract depth information
from the retinal images, which are usually two–dimensional (2D) or rather depthless (Blake &
Sekuler, 2006; Eysenck, 2002; Snowden et al., 2012). However, it is important to note that the
process of visual perception is much more complex in that the 2D retinal images must be perceived
as three–dimensional (3D) spatial representations (Barbato & Addington, 2013; Fischmeister &
Bauer, 2006). In order to achieve this level of visual perception, the human visual system must
receive and interpret information from different sources including monocular and ... Show more

First, depth perception refers to the distance between an observer and an object, which is also
known as absolute or egocentric distance (Blake & Sekuler, 2006; Sridhar & Bedell, 2011). This
form of depth perception is particularly relevant in baseball and basketball whereby the shooter
must make accurate judgments of the distance between the ball's destination and their current
position (Blake & Sekuler, 2006). On the other hand, depth perception may refer to relative
distance, which is the distance between two different objects or between two points occurring on the
same object. Apart from referring to different types of distances, the two categories of depth
perception are quite different in that they employ different sources of depth information to make
accurate judgments of distance (Blake & Sekuler, 2006). Moreover, perception of relative distance
seems to be much more precise compared to the perception of absolute distance (Blake & Sekuler,
2006).
Sources of Depth Information As mentioned earlier, there are different sources of depth information
or cues, which enable the visual system to support accurate judgments of distance in human beings.
Accordingly, the major sources of depth information fall into two broad categories including
oculomotor cues and visual cues (Blake & Sekuler, 2006; Snowden et al., 2012). The oculomotor
cues to depth arise from the contraction of muscle fibres

In Depth Analysis Of Emicho And His Crusaders
The first crusade started in 1096 B.C. when Pope Urban II called for the for a holy war. This was the
beginning of the first crusade. What originally was supposed to be the taking back of Jerusalem led
to the death of thousands of Jewish people. This with previous persecution of the Jews, by
Christians, led to even more persecution of Jews. Pope Urban II called for a holy war in 1095.
Urban wanted the Christians to take over the holy city of Jerusalem. He also said the Islamic people
committed crimes against Christendom. When he called for this crusade he expected to have trained
soldiers partake in the war and taking over of Jerusalem. What he didn't expect were thousands of

It is the same drilling we have done over the course of history and still to this date that has affected
the environment. Petroleum and natural gas have been used for over 5000 years, in all parts of the
world, and currently its use is steadily growing, causing new effects on our planet. Although there is
an abundant amount of oil and gas within the core of our planet beneath major sources of water,
eventually they will become scarce and overused, causing us to search for other means in other
geographical territories, including on land. The more we discover about these sources of energy the
better we understand them and eventually the more efficient we can be at conserving them (Estefani,
2013).
As aforementioned, throughout history there have been many sources of fuel that have propelled
man. Instead of choosing one and eventually letting it run its course after excessive use, we have
exhausted all efforts trying to find other sources for use to help power the busy lives of our race.
One such natural gas is shale oil. Shale gas is actually the refined version of shale oil. Shale oil, or
marlstone, forms from the deposits of macrobiotic matter mixing with the sedimentary materials on
the foundation of lakes at depths of about 3000 feet over a period of millions of years. Along with

Ocular Dominance
Understanding the Effect that Ophthalmologic Diseases have on the Development, and
Maintenance, of Ocular Dominance Columns
Vessa Pearsall
TA: Austin Ferro; Section 005
March 22, 2017
Abstract:
It is well understood that ocular dominance columns are a group of neurons that preferentially
respond to the input from one eye over the other. When these groups of neurons converge onto
binocular cells found in other layers, binocular vision is produced. However, it is less understood
whether ophthalmologic diseases, specifically forms of astigmatism, strabismus and cataracts, have
an impact on the development and maintenance of these ocular dominance columns. Ocular
dominance columns were labelled with cytochrome oxidase, an enzyme used to identify ... Show

This enzyme will dye areas of high metabolic activity. This technique can be used to compare and
contrast the presence of ocular dominance columns in 'normal' mammals with 'abnormal' mammals
(i.e.: those with monocular, or decreased, vision).
Should include data using cytochrome oxidase to identify ODCs in patients with different
ophthalmologic disease.
Should talk about when cytochrome oxidase can be used (i.e.: alive versus dead) and the effect that
enucleation of an affected eye has on the presence of ODCs.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that ophthalmologic diseases do have detrimental impacts on the
development and maintenance of ocular dominance columns. This is due to the loss in binocular
vision, which is important for the development of depth perception as well as ocular dominance
columns. While monocular vision results in the shrinkage and disappearance of ocular dominance
columns, it would be interesting to see if ocular dominance columns could be re–established if
binocular vision was

7 Features Of Macro Photography

WHAT IS MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY?
Have you ever wondered what that little flower symbol is on your camera? Who said you had to be
a professional photographer to take extremely close photos? The Macro mode will surprise you with
its incredible features. Taking photos so extremely close to an object is like entering a different

The first lens creates the image and the second enlarges the object.
Tripod
Having a tripod is important in macro photography because it helps keep the camera stable while
being so close. This helps prevent the picture turning out blurry or unfocused.
7 steps on how to capture that perfect Macro shot
'MACRO MODE'
1. You will need to turn your camera on to 'macro mode'. There should be a small symbol that looks
like a tulip flower on the settings that will switch it to macro. Doing this will change the zoom and
allow you to capture images at its actual size.
STABILITY
2. Set your tripod up in a position that is stable and not moveable. Macro photography requires no
camera movement and a lot of focus. The closer you get to the object, the more it will shake while
trying to take the picture. To avoid this, make sure your tripod is sturdy and will not shake.
LIGHTING
3. If there is not enough natural lighting or you're in a dark room, you will need to use flash or you
can make your own artificial lighting. You can create a golden effect by using gold tinfoil to reflect
onto the object. Natural lighting is always going to be a better option rather than using flash or

Essay on Shaun of the Dead: in-Depth Code Analysis
Shaun of Dead

With the large variety of interests that flourish within the society, it is no shock that genres exist,
especially in film, as the definition of entertainment differs from person to person. A genre is a
category of films that are characterised by similarities in the narrative elements and conventions
found within the films. Genres are extremely useful to both film producers and audiences as it helps
them narrow down the target audience and search for films that are in their range of interests. No
one wants to watch a political drama overrun with teenagers or go into a cinema with the intentions
of watching a romantic comedy, only to receive blood and gore instead.

horrible he feels, having to kill his own mother. When he finally pulls the trigger, the camera shifts
to Barbara's point of view in an over the shoulder shot so that the back of her head could be seen
being blown up. This violent and gory display only serves to further strengthen the horror element
found in Shaun of the Dead.
Lighting is one of the many elements that combine to create a perfect setting to reflect not only the
story, but also the mood in a scene and the main character's journey. How the character's face and
body is lit can also help define the character's state of mind, an emotional state to give that character
more depth and more of just a physical look to them that represents what they're going through.
In the pub scene, the light is quite muted and dim to emphasise the fear the characters are feeling, as
well as the sense of mystery of the scene which gives off a 'what's going to happen?' feel. This is
often because it's hard to see into the darkness; therefore it is more likely for something to launch a

From 2011onwards, there was advancement of technology in Apple Company under the leadership

he was still involved in the company's major decision making. The company unveiled iCloud, which

The customers bargaining power is another force that presents a competitive pressure on companies
in this industry. Customers are more interested on the brand identity with much preference on the
emergent ones. They tend to be loyal to price elasticity and hence companies are left to compete in
cutting costs. Obviously, consumers will go for products with low prices and therefore companies
such as Apple would not risk being expensive. The more expensive a company's products are the
less the number of buyers received. Immediately a substitute enters the market, everything to do
with the existing products becomes competitive. Consumers are left to make considerate choices
between the product and its substitutes. The Smartphone & Tablet industry is characterized by
emergent of various brands within short ranges of time. These brands become substitutes and affect
the pricing strategy adversely. This is a force that Apple and the other companies have to deal with
as far as their survival in the market is concerned.
A barrier to entry is another competitive force that Apple and other companies endure. The
possibilities of entering a particular market are limited by factors such as technology, time and cost
advantage, economies of scale and knowledge. If a certain market is characterized by a certain level

Death Of A Salesman In-Depth Analysis Essay
Death of a Salesman is a play that presents a variety of characters with different attitudes to life and
approaches to American Dream that appears to be the central topic of the story. All people have their
own needs and desires to follow, yet interaction between people leads to their partial transformation
in positive and adverse directions. The story shows how personal issues of people so as their
environment can lead individuals to the most dangerous consequences. A significant part of the
attractiveness of the play is the realism because of issues of people related to the experience of
ordinary people and their inner conflicts. Work of Arthur Miller requires the in–depth analysis to

In the same way, as all other individuals do, William has his view on the American dream and its
definition. It makes his point of view mandatory for presentation for the realization of the logic of
the character. The mindset of Willy towards the topic of American Dream relates to the application
of Charisma as the primary and only trait to become wealthy. It reflected on the personal behavior of
the man and his attitude to the nurture of children. He did not consider hard work as the key to
success, accepting the image and personality as the central aspect of performance. It resulted in the
unfortunate results for the man and his children as they did not want to become successful through

Analysis Of Along The Coast By Alfred Thompson Bricher
The artwork titled Along the Coast by Alfred Thompson Bricher was painted in the year 1880. This
particular work is composed of oil on canvas though the dimension were not specified at the
Museum of Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The overall focus of this painting is landscape in
along a northeastern seacoast in the United States. To begin, the formal element of line can be seen
throughout this artwork and helps the audience understand the dimensions and viewpoint the
audience Bricher grants his audience. The first noticeable line is defined by the shoreline giving the
painting depth and expressing distance. There is also a line along the bottom of the seaside cliff that
allows the audience to further understand that this painting is of a three–dimensional landscape.
Moreover, where the blue sky meets the grey and black of the cliff provides an outline for the
physical landscape the artist wished to capture and defines the space it occupies. Also, the line
outlining where the water is located provides an outline for the entirety of the shore. Furthermore,
another formal element of art that appears in this work is space. Bricher was able to transform his
two–dimensional depiction into a window to a three–dimensional space by simply manipulating his
audience's point of view. In the foreground, the artist rendered the images of the beached seaweed,
rock formation in the water, and rowboat with comparably great detail. As the viewer's eye travels

Depth Analysis of the Movie 'Crash'
Abstract
This paper will provide a broad analysis of the movie "Crash", and yet a specific
picture of visual narrative techniques and audio techniques. The categories contributing to the
nucleus and major movie components are theatrical elements, cinematography, editing, and sound.
The Academy Award winning movie Crash is a story about society 's controversial subjects

In general, actors act, and react. They act on their own, and they react to one another. After Don
Cheadle 's monologue in the beginning of the film, it is clear that this film is going to be a deep
seated story. Films create movement out of images, time out of movement, and story from the
action. The writer/director Paul Haggis has a background in television, and television has multiple
stories all interweaving together. His knowledge from television helped in the editing process. In
Crash, Paul Haggis had several transitions in the story lines. He compressed some scenes because if
too long, the audience would lose interest in the other stories.
The cinematography in the movie adds a tremendous amount of experience to the film. The film
follows the lives of several characters that come from different walks of life. It is important for the
mood setting of the plot to use different techniques to help the viewer assume the role of witness.
This role is essential to the main idea of the film, which is a reflection of us and our natural feelings
that at times may be described as racist.

An In-Depth Analysis of the European Debt Crisis
Abstract In this paper, we present an in–depth analysis of the nature, causes, economic
consequences, prevention as well as control of the European Debt crisis. A definition of the debt
crisis is also provided. Recommendations on the way forward are also provided. Introduction Debt
crisis is noted by Pescatori and Sy (306) to be a term that had before 1990s been used to typically
refer to defaults in debt serving. This definition however became very problematic with the
emergence of the sovereign bond markets. Debt crisis therefore generally deals with nations as well
as their ability to repay loans that they had earlier borrowed. The concept therefore deals with
international loans, national economies as well as national budgeting. An accurate and definition of
debt crisis does not exist since no standard definition has been advanced. The definitions of the term
have generally been noted to have varied over time with various institutions like the International
Monetary Fund (IMF) as well as Standard and poor (S&P) providing their own views. The most
basic definition and one which is generally accepted indicates that "debt crisis" is when a national
government is not able to repay the debt that it owes as therefore resorts to seeking of some forms of
assistance. The European Debt Crisis The European Debt Crisis is a term used to describe the
region's spirited struggle to repay the debt that it had borrowed in the recent decades. Five main

With reference corrected co–added frames in hand, photometric magnitudes could now be found for
all the objects in Carina over the course of the observation campaign. I used aperture techniques to
find object magnitudes for the reference scaling described earlier, but more precise techniques, in
the form of point spread function (PSF) photometry, were required for proper photometric
measurement in the crowded fields of Carina and to achieve the lowest possible uncertainties. The
pipeline was written in Python v2.713 using AstropyPy v2.0, Photoutils v0.4, and Astropyp v0.0.
Time was an issue when processing 62 8–megapixel images in 300 frames, with each image taking
up to 3 minutes of single core compute time, and so multi–core functionality was added. The
magnitude of a star is a logarithmic measure of its flux as measured by our imager. That flux is the
sum of all the flux contained inside the PSF, which is the 2D image of a point source of light. The
PSF varies image to image due to changes in the atmosphere, and can also vary spatially over ...

estimate of the Gaussian fit PSF and the background noise levels, respectively. It was particularly
tricky to find parameters that worked well for both clear and highly nebulous regions with small

Visual Form Agnosia Essay
Visual form agnosia is defined as the inability to recognize objects (Goldstein, 2010). To understand
the basic concept of visual form agnosia, it is important to first understand that perception and
recognition are separate processes. Perception is defined as the ability to become aware of
something through our senses, and recognition is the ability to put an object in a group that gives the
item meaning. When a person suffers from visual form agnosia, they are generally able to identify
the item and distinguish parts of it, but are not able to perceptually accumulate every piece of the
item in order to identify the item as complete (Goldstein, 2010). The following is a review of studies
concerning the different aspects, theories, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The assortment of appropriate goal objects and the action to be executed depends on the perceptual
apparatus of the ventral system. A remaining question that is yet to be answered is how the two
streams interrelate with each other and how the other brain regions construct purposive behavior
(Goodale & Servos, 1995). Nevertheless, at the height of visual processing, the visuomotor modules
in the parietal lobe function alone from the occipitotemporal area which produces perception–based
knowledge. The perceptual system can provide proper information for our thought processes to act
upon. In comparison, the other is designed to guide actions purely in the 'here and now', and its
products are consequently useless for later reference (Goodale & Servos, 1995). In other words, it is
through knowledge expanding through the ventral stream that we can practice insight, hindsight,
and foresight regarding the visual world. The visuomotor system can give blind sight, but in doing
this may offer no direct contribution to our mental life (Weiskrantz, 1997).
Vercera (2001) looked at two explanations between perception and action dissociation in visual
from agnosia. The first explanation is the 'ventral disconnection account'. In this explanation,
damage down the ventral processing pathway, also known as the 'what' pathway, is the cause of
visual form agnosia. Impairment in the tie between early–level vision and shape perception is
caused by damage along the ventral

Out Of The Depths: A Comparative Analysis
I found one similarity between the psalms talked about in this chapter. They all seem to have the
same type of tone. I felt like the writers of these psalms wrote them in ways that makes the reader
slowly read over the psalm and meditate over the words. I am not sure if this is a theme throughout
all of the psalms of if this is just a similarity in the ones that are in this book. Another similarity I
picked up on while reading Out of the Depths is that they all share characteristics of who God is.
Again I am not sure if this is a consistent theme through all of the psalms or just the ones in this
specific chapter of Out of the Depths. This chapter helped me realize that there are different
purposes for the psalms. I never thought about how

major east coast cities like Charlotte, North Carolina. This makes the geographic information look

In-Depth Analysis Of Old Spice Ad
Good morning/afternoon Mr Heppell and fellow peers. Today I will conduct an in–depth analysis on
the Old Spice advertisement: "Questions". According to a case study made by the organisation
D&AD, the ad was first aired in June 2010 and was created by the company Wieden+Kennedy
Portland, the same company that made the advertisement "The Other Side", a very successful ad.
The product being advertised in the ad is Old Spice body wash for men. The ad includes a shirtless
man doing many stereotypically "manly" endeavours, such as motorbike riding and building. The
advertisement will now be played.
Let's begin by using the AIDA structure to analyse the composition of the ad. First off, the ad grabs
the attention of female viewers by showing a muscular man without a shirt, asking "the ladies"
rhetorical questions. It captures the attention of male viewers by using negative and critical
language about how they can't be him, but then telling them that there is a way that they can be like
him. The ad maintains interest by constantly changing the background and using CGI effects to
leave to viewer mystified as they try to comprehend what just happened and try to predict what will
happen next.
Additionally, the ad stimulates a desire for the product in females by implanting the idea that their
boyfriend or husband could be more attractive if they used Old Spice. The ad stimulates a desire for
the product in males by displaying an image of masculinity & inserting the idea that Old Spice
provides an avenue to that image. Female viewers are encouraged to buy the product for their
husband. Male viewers are encouraged to buy the product because they want to be more masculine.
The target audience includes males and females, aged from 20 to mid–40s, either married, engaged
or dating. This is made obvious by the possessive words used in the questions the "Old Spice guy"
uses. For example, "Does your man look like me?" "Should your man..."
The fantasy message of the ad is shown to be: "If you use Old Spice body wash, you will be the
ideal man." This is made obvious from the words used by the main character, and by the things that
he does. For example, he says, "Do you want a man who smells like he can bake you a

A Depth Analysis : Under Pressure
An in Depth Analysis: Under Pressure The biggest problem one faces when constructing an
underwater settlement is, obviously, the pressure. Water exerts roughly .036 pounds of pressure per
square inch, which isn't really a problem when you're taking a dip in a pond, but when you want to
put an entire structure a few thousand meters deep in the ocean you find yourself with a bit of a
dilemma. That's not to say that it's not possible, James Cameron piloted a submarine 11,000 meters

settlement would need to go. Borrowing from the design of the Deepsea Challenger, we know that

While on the topic of water another problem pops up, one shared by several countries around the
world – the need for fresh water. Seawater, as many know, is undrinkable due to its high salt
concentration. There is, however, a method to make seawater into freshwater. It's called
desalinization. According to the United States geological survey, the process that naturally turns
seawater into freshwater can "be imitated artificially and more rapidly than in nature". This can be
done using any source of heating and cooling. Although a great deal of energy is required for doing
this and it is expensive, so expensive in fact that the United States geological survey states that "the
cost of desalination has kept desalination from being used more often". Which means that the
hypothetical city would need large sums of money and energy to truly benefit from this process. Yet
with enough funding, the marine civilization could produce drinking water from the water
surrounding them.
Can I get a Watt Watt?
The next big step is becoming self–sustaining, managing oxygen and needed food for the
inhabitants of the city. Oxygen will present a difficult problem. One option is to send plants down
with the aquanauts and cultivate them underwater much the same way we do on land. The edible
plants would provide nutrients and oxygen, proving quite beneficial. The question this raises,
however, is how would the

Understanding Homeland Security : The Importance Of...
Homeland Security Understanding Homeland Security's (HS) mission, tasks, duties, responsibilities,
and operations is important. It is important because providing security is necessary to protect this
country. HS can have different meaning and is a topic of debate for many scholars who try and
define HS. This is not a debate or the focus, and HS needs to be a team effort by all Americans to
keep this nation free (Bellavita, 2008). One thing for sure is that terrorism needs to be checked on a
daily basis. Many agencies work together providing security to prevent terrorist attacks to the
homeland. According to Bellavita (2008), federal, state and local governments, by the private sector,
and by individuals all have a homeland role in preventing terrorist attacks within the United States.
Additionally, providing security is challenging because America has a surrounding ocean from east
to west, and to the south. Also, Canada is to the north and the borders span a numerous amount of
miles. Where would HS's mission fall when all these borders need protection? One mission for HS
is to provide necessary resources to protect and prevent terrorist attacks. When resources are
determined, other federal agencies may get involved to determine how the resources can be utilized
to provide security (Cusic, 2009). Furthermore, HS is not just about preventing terrorism. A lot of

Analysis Of Empress Theodora And Victory Stele Of Naram-Sin
Although these artworks can look completely different at first glance, they have many similarities.
For example, all three artworks have one major figure, and portray an importance on that figure.
Thutmose's Nefertiti only has one subject, although that subject is wearing a huge crown to signify
her importance. Victory Stele of Naram–Sin's artist scales Naram–Sin by almost two times,
compared to the rest of the figures, to show his importance. As well as giving him a helmet with two
horns, unlike any other figure on the relief. He is also positioned closest to the stars, and is the major
focal point. Empress Theodora's artist gave Theodora a larger head dress and a halo to signify her
importance. The artist also gave her gold details on her clothing and made her slightly higher than
every other figure to continue emphasizing her importance. In general, although they are very
different pieces, every artist successfully tells the viewer which figure is the most important. In
addition, Victory Stele of Naram–Sin and Empress Theodora look very different because of the
medium used and the figures shown. However, they both tell a story to the viewer. Victory Stele of
Naram–Sin is telling of the victory over the Lullubi people, and how the leader is considered to be a

Challenges Base Applications In our base image we currently include into the image several base
applications, these are both baked into the actual image file and installed after the OS utilizing a
Task Sequence. With WICD we found it difficult and time consuming to utilize this toolset to try
and include all of our base applications into the provisioning pack process, due the nature of the
wrapper, applications having prompts that cannot be answered, and the nature of these applications
frequently changing a different solution is needed. What we found was that instead of trying to
include all of the base applications in the provisioning pack in and of itself we only include the
SCCM client and then we created an SCCM Task Sequence that can be executed after the other
tasks of the provisioning packs are completed and a Tech signs into the device. If we wish to try and
approach this by making the provisioning pack further inclusive it will take a large time investment,
both upfront and continually as the version of these applications change every 3–6 months. Naming
One of the steps in our imaging process today is to apply a standard naming convention based on the
chassis, OS, OS architecture, site code, and the last X of the serial for randomization. Due to the
complex nature of this convention it is not compatible with the provisioning pack process. The
naming convention was put into place to allow IT resources to quickly discern relevant information

Psychology the Nervous System Essay examples
Assignment 3 Written Essay Questions 1. a) We are able to experience different types of sensations
because our nervous system encodes messages. German physiologist Johannes Muller in his
doctrine of specific nerve energies described a kind of code which is anatomical. In his doctrine,
Muller explains that different sensory modalities exist because signals received by the sense organs
stimulate different nerve pathways that lead to different areas of the brain. For example, when the
ear receives signals, these signals cause impulses to travel along the auditory nerve to the auditory

An extensive matrix of neurons in the brain gives us the sense of our own bodies and body parts.
Pain results when this matrix produces an abnormal pattern of activity, as a result of memories,
emotions, expectations or signals from various brain centres and not just from signals from
peripheral nerves. Because of the lack of sensory stimulation or a person's efforts to move a
nonexistent limb, abnormal patterns may arise, resulting in phantom pain. 6. a) The role stimulus
generalization plays in this problem is where mental images of the sights and smells of the clinic
can become conditioned stimuli for nausea, aside from the nurse's uniform, smell of rubbing alcohol
or the waiting room. b) High order conditioning can be illustrated in this problem of vomiting and
nausea where a patient who drank lemon –lime Kool–Aid before their therapy sessions developed
anxiety disorders. They continued to feel anxious even when the drink was offered in their homes
rather than at the clinic. c) Classical conditioning could help patients reduce pain and anxiety
through the use of placebos. For example the use of pills and injections that have no active
ingredients or treatments that have no direct physical effect on the problem. The bigger and more
impressive the placebos are, the stronger their psychological effects are. 7. The evidence shows that

Personal Statement For Drive Wild

  • 1. Personal Statement For Drive Wild Author Statement for Drive Wild I created "Drive Wild" to advertise the 2016 Ford Focus Electric. I took into consideration lighting, media type, audience, color, imagery, composition, and text in an attempt to promote potential consumers to buy the vehicle. I also kept in mind the common theme of the environment that most electric vehicle advertisements use to persuade the consumers while creating my advertisement. I created "Drive Wild" with the use of Photoshop. I knew the program would help me achieve my desired look because of the variety of functions it offers over Microsoft Word. I used Photoshop's capabilities of photo manipulation to integrate multiple images to create my own single image in an attempt to persuade viewers to invest in a Ford Focus Electric. Making the single images seem like they belonged together within the composition proved to be challenging. However, it was necessary in order to get the look I desired. One of the toughest part about getting the look I desired, besides making it look like one image, was the lighting. I knew without proper lighting to integrate the single images into a unified whole the advertisement would look fake and cheap. I wanted to avoid the advertisement looking like this because of the low quality advertisements suggest a low quality product. Cheap looking advertisements reduce the Ethos, which I wanted to avoid. Advertisements are based on the visual aspects and without visual interest the ad is less persuasive to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. In-Depth Analysis Of The Lottery My entire semester was devoted to the in–depth analysis of the lottery, and the debate of it being a blessing or a curse. In relation to the lottery and the controversy I thought it would be more beneficial in this documentary project to actually show you, which brought me to animaker. In the animated video I illustrate four characters, one which in fact wins the lottery and becomes a different person. In the video it takes you through the altercations of his psychological, behavioral, and social health endanger and altered for the worse just as it was explained in the argumentative research essay. The girl in the video named Zana explains why the lottery initiates the ruins of a person, there was also two others that is presented in the video that argued against her points. However in regards to their argument she show them the reasoning in a visual way through Matt's testimony. Psychologically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the beginning to the end there was mention of statistical points that covered how much has been spent on the lottery, the odds of winning, and the investment that went nowhere for America. There was pathos, when their friend was a prime examples of what happens to winners, as they in fact lose. Lastly was the logic which incorporated the evidence in relation to the characters and the facts that were elaborate on. Although, all point that were presented to the audience had a purpose, the strongest appeal would have to be ethos. With the acknowledgment of facts, statistics, and scholarly insight to the situation, it gave support to the rebuttal's that were imbedded into the film by the other characters. It's hard to argue with facts and as realization in this ethos sank in with the incorporation of Matt and his situation, it conclusively gave way to a more clear and precise point in response to this ... • 3. An In-Depth Analysis Of Gender Issues In Cosmopolitan... Introduction Traditionally gender has been viewed as a simple binary category with certain dichotomies that exist between the masculine and feminine. The categorization is borne from the belief that because men and women are biologically different that is, different sexes, there will be a natural difference in the way they behave within the society (language use being an important aspect of this behavior). There is little evidence that this belief is based on anything other than stereotyping. Just by virtue that women and men are biologically different, the society believes that the men and women should behave different also and that each should be treated differently. The natural belief that men and women are different has led to the rise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An essential aspect of this issue of Cosmopolitan is that its head editor was a woman, Helen Gurley Brown, which indicates a female vision in the production of this magazine (Gurley Brown 1965). Nonetheless, all the other important positions for the magazine, from the president of Hearst Magazines, Richard E. Deems, to the head of Fiction, William Carrington Guy, were all men (Gurley Brown 1965). This information paints an interesting picture, because of Gurley Brown's position at the helm while valuable, still had to accommodate these other male visions on the magazine. The rest of the positions are mostly filled by women, Fashion and Features, Merchandising, Copy, Beauty, Staff Manager, and almost all of the Editorial Staff (Gurley Brown 1965). In this sense, Cosmopolitan was slowly turning not only in a women's magazine but in a women–produced ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Public Health Profession Initial In-Depth Analysis To evaluate and progress in the public health profession an initial in–depth analysis of all components of the current status of the profession would be performed. Understanding the current status of the professions may reveal successful portions, failing concepts, or areas that are in need of improvement. A thorough evaluation of the current status of the profession may offer the possibility to collaborate with those who practice in professions other than the public health field. Collaboration with these professionals may be considered one of the key components utilized to progress in the public health profession. • 5. Sight And Survival Of Sight Sight, for many people, is the one sense they feel would be the most difficult to live without. We rely on sight to read, find our way around, cook our meals, do our jobs, and consume our entertainment. For many animals, their sense of sight is of vital importance for their survival. For example, hawks and eagles rely on their incredible vision to spot prey from the sky. Large predatory cats, such as lions and jaguars, will use their improved night vision to hunt unsuspecting prey in the dark. The loss of sight means almost certain death for a large amount of animals, as sight is mainly used for awareness of surroundings, avoiding predators, and hunting prey. However, this is not to say that some creatures do not rely on sight to survive; many animals, such as shrimp and fish in low or zero–light environments have not evolved to have a sense of vision, but instead rely on other senses to understand their surroundings, find prey, or avoid predators. Then again, sight is so important for survival on Earth that it has independently evolved across multiple species1; this is known as convergent evolution. As Darwin puts it, the eye, such a perfect organ, being formed by natural selection seems "...absurd in the highest degree",1 but true nonetheless. Sight is one of the greatest and most complex marvels produced by natural selection. Cyanobacteria, microscopic prokaryotic bacteria, are known for their green colour, their ability to convert sunlight into energy, with O2 as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Analysis Of In Depth: The American Revolution My advertisement was for the book In Depth: The American Revolution. With this ad, we used humor, patriotism, and snob appeal. The message was that you would do better in history/social studies and would "give you the inside scoop of the life of the founding fathers." We mainly focused on a historical standpoint to get the message across. The ad was using elements from other interpretations for a not–so obvious humor appeal. I've noticed that the ad was mainly pathos and ethos, but mainly pathos. The humor itself came from the characters. The ad touched on the interactions between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson, and how they constantly bicker on ideas. However, it was showing that this book made them come to an agreement. Our humor ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Intel Defense On Depth Strategy Analysis Intel Defense in Depth Strategy Analysis Introduction As information systems become progressively more complex, attackers also develop increasingly sophisticated attacks that threaten the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of these systems. Consequently, Information Technology (IT) security has become crucial to the survivability of the business. Companies may choose to employ safeguards to protect themselves from such threats, but what happens if these controls fail? Incident Response Plans (IRPs) are often employed as a means to mitigate and contain incidents when they occur, but their effectiveness is only as good as the planning that goes into their development. In response to this need, Intel has devised a strategy they refer to as Defense in Depth (DiDS). The DiDS is an enhanced IRP designed to optimize security by using interlocking prediction, prevention, detection, and response capabilities (Rosenquist, 2008). DiDS a security approach that strives to keep pace and even exceed the efforts of attackers by proactively anticipating and reacting to threats while providing a feedback loop to strengthen efforts after an incident has occurred. The goal of this paper is to analyze Intel's DiDS as well as exhibit how an IT security manager might implement such a philosophy to address what types of training, funding, and personnel resources it might take to implement this approach successfully. • 10. In-Depth Analysis Of The Great Gatsby F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby has been viewed as a standout masterpiece of American writing since it was published in the 1920s. The novel has been distinctly consecrated in American culture where it remains applicable and regularly read over ninety years after publication. Why it is still relevant turns out to be clear when reading the novel. Fitzgerald tells a moderately contained and straightforward story by using an elaborate style and concerning different distinctive topics. In addition, it lets plenty of space for alternative views and speculations about some elements of the novel. Nick travels to New York from West Egg with Tom Buchanan, stopping on the way to pick up Myrtle, Tom's secret affair. They then head to an apartment where they, together with Myrtles sister and the married couple, the McKees, have a party. Nick comments that at this afternoon it was the second time in his life that he had been drunk and that everything therefore had a "dim, hazy cast over it" (27– 32). At this party Nick meets the photographer Mr. McKee, which is a important scene for characterizing Nick's sexuality. Nick describes McKee as "a pale, feminine man" (32) and it can be assumed that there is some sort of attraction between the two men, because of events that will follow. Nick and McKee end up leaving the party together, something Maggie Gordon Froehlich says "clearly (if subtly) suggests a pickup" (215). The pair drunkenly stumble into the elevator where they start making vague plans about going to lunch (39). At first sight, the confused vagueness could be seen as a representation of their intoxication, but it could also be argued that when looking closely, their talk about their plans to get lunch (when asked where, McKee answers "anywhere" [39]) is subliminal homoerotic intended (because they are not planning lunch at all, but rather planning to "do something" else). • 13. Why Do we have Two Eyes rather than one? Essay Human beings have a remarkable ability of making accurate distance judgments based on the images that form on the retina of the eyes. More specifically, humans can extract depth information from the retinal images, which are usually two–dimensional (2D) or rather depthless (Blake & Sekuler, 2006; Eysenck, 2002; Snowden et al., 2012). However, it is important to note that the process of visual perception is much more complex in that the 2D retinal images must be perceived as three–dimensional (3D) spatial representations (Barbato & Addington, 2013; Fischmeister & Bauer, 2006). In order to achieve this level of visual perception, the human visual system must receive and interpret information from different sources including monocular and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First, depth perception refers to the distance between an observer and an object, which is also known as absolute or egocentric distance (Blake & Sekuler, 2006; Sridhar & Bedell, 2011). This form of depth perception is particularly relevant in baseball and basketball whereby the shooter must make accurate judgments of the distance between the ball's destination and their current position (Blake & Sekuler, 2006). On the other hand, depth perception may refer to relative distance, which is the distance between two different objects or between two points occurring on the same object. Apart from referring to different types of distances, the two categories of depth perception are quite different in that they employ different sources of depth information to make accurate judgments of distance (Blake & Sekuler, 2006). Moreover, perception of relative distance seems to be much more precise compared to the perception of absolute distance (Blake & Sekuler, 2006). Sources of Depth Information As mentioned earlier, there are different sources of depth information or cues, which enable the visual system to support accurate judgments of distance in human beings. Accordingly, the major sources of depth information fall into two broad categories including oculomotor cues and visual cues (Blake & Sekuler, 2006; Snowden et al., 2012). Ocular Dominance Understanding the Effect that Ophthalmologic Diseases have on the Development, and Maintenance, of Ocular Dominance Columns Vessa Pearsall TA: Austin Ferro; Section 005 March 22, 2017 Abstract: It is well understood that ocular dominance columns are a group of neurons that preferentially respond to the input from one eye over the other. When these groups of neurons converge onto binocular cells found in other layers, binocular vision is produced. However, it is less understood whether ophthalmologic diseases, specifically forms of astigmatism, strabismus and cataracts, have an impact on the development and maintenance of these ocular dominance columns. Should talk about when cytochrome oxidase can be used (i.e.: alive versus dead) and the effect that enucleation of an affected eye has on the presence of ODCs. Conclusion: It can be concluded that ophthalmologic diseases do have detrimental impacts on the development and maintenance of ocular dominance columns. This is due to the loss in binocular vision, which is important for the development of depth perception as well as ocular dominance columns. While monocular vision results in the shrinkage and disappearance of ocular dominance columns, it would be interesting to see if ocular dominance columns could be re–established if binocular vision was ... An In-Depth Analysis of the European Debt Crisis Abstract In this paper, we present an in–depth analysis of the nature, causes, economic consequences, prevention as well as control of the European Debt crisis. A definition of the debt crisis is also provided. Recommendations on the way forward are also provided. Introduction Debt crisis is noted by Pescatori and Sy (306) to be a term that had before 1990s been used to typically refer to defaults in debt serving. This definition however became very problematic with the emergence of the sovereign bond markets. Debt crisis therefore generally deals with nations as well as their ability to repay loans that they had earlier borrowed. The concept therefore deals with international loans, national economies as well as national budgeting. An accurate and definition of debt crisis does not exist since no standard definition has been advanced. The definitions of the term have generally been noted to have varied over time with various institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as well as Standard and poor (S&P) providing their own views. The most basic definition and one which is generally accepted indicates that "debt crisis" is when a national government is not able to repay the debt that it owes as therefore resorts to seeking of some forms of assistance. That flux is the sum of all the flux contained inside the PSF, which is the 2D image of a point source of light. It was particularly tricky to find parameters that worked well for both clear and highly nebulous regions with small features. Also, the parameters had to be tuned for particular filters and co–adding depths. • 32. Visual Form Agnosia Essay Visual form agnosia is defined as the inability to recognize objects (Goldstein, 2010). To understand the basic concept of visual form agnosia, it is important to first understand that perception and recognition are separate processes. Perception is defined as the ability to become aware of something through our senses, and recognition is the ability to put an object in a group that gives the item meaning. When a person suffers from visual form agnosia, they are generally able to identify the item and distinguish parts of it, but are not able to perceptually accumulate every piece of the item in order to identify the item as complete (Goldstein, 2010). The following is a review of studies concerning the different aspects, theories, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The assortment of appropriate goal objects and the action to be executed depends on the perceptual apparatus of the ventral system. A remaining question that is yet to be answered is how the two streams interrelate with each other and how the other brain regions construct purposive behavior (Goodale & Servos, 1995). Nevertheless, at the height of visual processing, the visuomotor modules in the parietal lobe function alone from the occipitotemporal area which produces perception–based knowledge. The perceptual system can provide proper information for our thought processes to act upon. In comparison, the other is designed to guide actions purely in the 'here and now', and its products are consequently useless for later reference (Goodale & Servos, 1995). In other words, it is through knowledge expanding through the ventral stream that we can practice insight, hindsight, and foresight regarding the visual world. The visuomotor system can give blind sight, but in doing this may offer no direct contribution to our mental life (Weiskrantz, 1997). Vercera (2001) looked at two explanations between perception and action dissociation in visual from agnosia. The first explanation is the 'ventral disconnection account'. In this explanation, damage down the ventral processing pathway, also known as the 'what' pathway, is the cause of visual form agnosia. Impairment in the tie between early–level vision and shape perception is caused by damage along the ventral ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I felt like the writers of these psalms wrote them in ways that makes the reader slowly read over the psalm and meditate over the words. I am not sure if this is a theme throughout all of the psalms of if this is just a similarity in the ones that are in this book. Another similarity I picked up on while reading Out of the Depths is that they all share characteristics of who God is. • 35. In-Depth Analysis Of Old Spice Ad Good morning/afternoon Mr Heppell and fellow peers. Today I will conduct an in–depth analysis on the Old Spice advertisement: "Questions". According to a case study made by the organisation D&AD, the ad was first aired in June 2010 and was created by the company Wieden+Kennedy Portland, the same company that made the advertisement "The Other Side", a very successful ad. The product being advertised in the ad is Old Spice body wash for men. The ad includes a shirtless man doing many stereotypically "manly" endeavours, such as motorbike riding and building. The advertisement will now be played. Let's begin by using the AIDA structure to analyse the composition of the ad. First off, the ad grabs the attention of female viewers by showing a muscular man without a shirt, asking "the ladies" rhetorical questions. It captures the attention of male viewers by using negative and critical language about how they can't be him, but then telling them that there is a way that they can be like him. The ad maintains interest by constantly changing the background and using CGI effects to leave to viewer mystified as they try to comprehend what just happened and try to predict what will happen next. Additionally, the ad stimulates a desire for the product in females by implanting the idea that their boyfriend or husband could be more attractive if they used Old Spice. The ad stimulates a desire for the product in males by displaying an image of masculinity & inserting the idea that Old Spice provides an avenue to that image. Female viewers are encouraged to buy the product for their husband. Male viewers are encouraged to buy the product because they want to be more masculine. The target audience includes males and females, aged from 20 to mid–40s, either married, engaged or dating. This is made obvious by the possessive words used in the questions the "Old Spice guy" uses. For example, "Does your man look like me?" "Should your man..." The fantasy message of the ad is shown to be: "If you use Old Spice body wash, you will be the ideal man." This is made obvious from the words used by the main character, and by the things that he does. For example, he says, "Do you want a man who smells like he can bake you a ... That's not to say that it's not possible, James Cameron piloted a submarine 11,000 meters down to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in 2012, far deeper than any permanent underwater settlement would need to go. Seawater, as many know, is undrinkable due to its high salt concentration. There is, however, a method to make seawater into freshwater. It's called desalinization. According to the United States geological survey, the process that naturally turns seawater into freshwater can "be imitated artificially and more rapidly than in nature". This can be done using any source of heating and cooling. Although a great deal of energy is required for doing this and it is expensive, so expensive in fact that the United States geological survey states that "the cost of desalination has kept desalination from being used more often". Which means that the hypothetical city would need large sums of money and energy to truly benefit from this process. Yet with enough funding, the marine civilization could produce drinking water from the water surrounding them. Can I get a Watt Watt? The next big step is becoming self–sustaining, managing oxygen and needed food for the inhabitants of the city. Oxygen will present a difficult problem. It is important because providing security is necessary to protect this country. HS can have different meaning and is a topic of debate for many scholars who try and define HS. This is not a debate or the focus, and HS needs to be a team effort by all Americans to keep this nation free (Bellavita, 2008). One thing for sure is that terrorism needs to be checked on a daily basis. Many agencies work together providing security to prevent terrorist attacks to the homeland. According to Bellavita (2008), federal, state and local governments, by the private sector, and by individuals all have a homeland role in preventing terrorist attacks within the United States. Additionally, providing security is challenging because America has a surrounding ocean from east to west, and to the south. Also, Canada is to the north and the borders span a numerous amount of miles. Where would HS's mission fall when all these borders need protection? One mission for HS is to provide necessary resources to protect and prevent terrorist attacks. When resources are determined, other federal agencies may get involved to determine how the resources can be utilized to provide security (Cusic, 2009). Furthermore, HS is not just about preventing terrorism. A lot of natural and man–made disasters can transpire quickly. The location of a hazard could depend on how or ... Victory Stele of Naram–Sin's artist scales Naram–Sin by almost two times, compared to the rest of the figures, to show his importance. As well as giving him a helmet with two horns, unlike any other figure on the relief. He is also positioned closest to the stars, and is the major focal point. Empress Theodora's artist gave Theodora a larger head dress and a halo to signify her importance. The artist also gave her gold details on her clothing and made her slightly higher than every other figure to continue emphasizing her importance. In general, although they are very different pieces, every artist successfully tells the viewer which figure is the most important. In addition, Victory Stele of Naram–Sin and Empress Theodora look very different because of the medium used and the figures shown. However, they both tell a story to the viewer. Challenges Base Applications In our base image we currently include into the image several base applications, these are both baked into the actual image file and installed after the OS utilizing a Task Sequence. With WICD we found it difficult and time consuming to utilize this toolset to try and include all of our base applications into the provisioning pack process, due the nature of the wrapper, applications having prompts that cannot be answered, and the nature of these applications frequently changing a different solution is needed. What we found was that instead of trying to include all of the base applications in the provisioning pack in and of itself we only include the SCCM client and then we created an SCCM Task Sequence that can be executed after the other tasks of the provisioning packs are completed and a Tech signs into the device. If we wish to try and approach this by making the provisioning pack further inclusive it will take a large time investment, both upfront and continually as the version of these applications change every 3–6 months. Naming One of the steps in our imaging process today is to apply a standard naming convention based on the chassis, OS, OS architecture, site code, and the last X of the serial for randomization. German physiologist Johannes Muller in his doctrine of specific nerve energies described a kind of code which is anatomical. In his doctrine, Muller explains that different sensory modalities exist because signals received by the sense organs stimulate different nerve pathways that lead to different areas of the brain. For example, when the ear receives signals, these signals cause impulses to travel along the auditory nerve to the auditory cortex. And signals from the eye cause impulses to travel along the optic nerve to the visual cortex. Because of these anatomical differences, light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An extensive matrix of neurons in the brain gives us the sense of our own bodies and body parts. Pain results when this matrix produces an abnormal pattern of activity, as a result of memories, emotions, expectations or signals from various brain centres and not just from signals from peripheral nerves. Because of the lack of sensory stimulation or a person's efforts to move a nonexistent limb, abnormal patterns may arise, resulting in phantom pain. 6. a) The role stimulus generalization plays in this problem is where mental images of the sights and smells of the clinic can become conditioned stimuli for nausea, aside from the nurse's uniform, smell of rubbing alcohol or the waiting room. b) High order conditioning can be illustrated in this problem of vomiting and nausea where a patient who drank lemon –lime Kool–Aid before their therapy sessions developed anxiety disorders.
