Physics Of A Dc Electric Eld
In a DC electric п¬Ѓeld, charged particles moves to an electrode that has anwith opposite polarity.
In an AC electric field, charged particles oscillate, and their amplitudes are determined by the
amount of the total particle charge. The oscillation amplitude of the charged particle is
proportional to the amount of the charge density (q) and the applied voltage (E), and is inversely
proportional to the radius of the particle (r), the medium viscosity (О·), or the applied frequency
(f) [28]. When E, О·, r, and f are constant values, the amplitude d of the particle is simply related to
the charge density q . In this case, analyzing the amplitude of the oscillating particle under the AC
electric п¬Ѓeld has the same meaning with as evaluating... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An AC electric field was applied to a sample containing the fluorescent microspheres, and the
oscillation amplitudes of the fluorescent microspheres were observed by using a fluorescent
fluorescence microscope (TE2000 U, Nikon). The continuous CCD images were recorded in a
computer as a movie п¬Ѓle format. After the analysis of the recorded data, the oscillation
amplitude d was calculated as the average of one way distances [28]. The amplitudes of the 10
different microspheres were individually measured, and an the average of these amplitudes was
used as the amplitude d . 4.3 Preparation of biofunctional microspheres 4.3.1 Preparation of IgG

Fiscal Policy And Fiscal Policies
Fiscal Policy
Generally fiscal policy is the set of strategies that government implements or plans to use with
certain activities such as the collection of revenues and taxes and expenditure that can influence the
overall economic condition of the nation. A well written or planned fiscal policy can lead the nation
to the steady path of the strong economy, increase employment and also maintains healthy inflation.
Every country needs fiscal policy as fiscal policy plays a vital role on monitoring the pattern of the
flow of nation s expenditure to the economy and also the nation s revenue generated from the
economy. It also helps to stimulate the economic growth during the period of economic recession.
The main aim of the fiscal policy is to maintain a steady fiscal growth with respect to both higher
and lower economic cycle. There is an intimate relationship between fiscal and monetary policy
though these both entities are conducted for different purposes. These are basically not the
alternative but the complement to each other. Fiscal policy always supports monetary policy
during the time of recession such as Global Financial Crisis of 2008.Many countries enacted lots
of stimulus plans related to fiscal policy in order to cope with the Global Financial Crisis of
2008. Among those India also adopted many different new techniques of fiscal policy in order to
survive during the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.

Creating Two Bad Behavior Of Case And Disease Management...

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND IT
31266 Introduction to Information Systems
Autumn 2015
Assignment I
1.Create TWO bad behaviour of Case and Disease Management systems scenarios and explain each
in detail?
The Encyclopaedia of Business, 2nd Edition on the Reference for Business website describes a role
of a management information system as a computer system that provides management and other
personnel within an organisation with up to date information (Management Information Systems,
para 4). A bad behaviour scenario is when this system does not meet the intended requirements and
leaves the business less efficient and the customers dissatisfied.
First scenario: A patient suffers from heart disease. Their medical consultation history such as
appointments and follow up care is taken care of by the case management system and the progress
of their heart disease in managed by the disease management system. The patient moves houses and
thus has a change in address, however this change, due to poor management, has only been
recorded in the disease management system and thus the old address is still active in the case
management system. Confidential health reports are sent to the wrong address due to the incorrect
information in the case management system, unknown to the hospital. This compromises the patient
s medical privacy and also inconveniences them as they are not receiving their own personal health
reports by mail. Second scenario: A

Patheotherapy Essay
A disease is an illness of any living thing caused by infection or failure of health rather than by
accident (Cambridge Dictionary). Many diseases have showing symptoms, while others go
unnoticed. A symptom is physical sign used to detect illness. Fever, bleeding and discoloration
are all examples of symptoms. It is important to go to the doctor for check ups and screenings in
order to prevent some illnesses. It is also important to become familiar with family history. It is
better to be proactive than reactive. Practicing low risk behaviors can prevent a diseasefrom
reaching its pathological threshold.
The name cost of the product (prescription drug, holistic or therapeutic approach) Patheotherapy is
the new and innovated way to treat sarcoidosis. Patheotherapy is made up of two words, patheos

and that is pronounced PA theos (Hoffman, 2010). The English word therapy origins from the
Greek word, therapia, which means, to cure or heal (Online Etymology Dictionary). Patheotherapy

Monotheistic Religions Analysis
Two Different Approaches to Faith in Monotheistic Religions
Faith, which is a strong attachment of man s heart to God, is one of the most important concept in
monotheistic religions. In this paper, two passages are selected in order to study two opposite way
to perceive faith in those religions. One of the writings is from the Doctrine of Monotheismпј€

World of Islam, 178 179, Islamic readings from Williams book.pdfпј‰, which is observed by the
Ibadi Muslims, and another is taken from Preface to Romans ( MARTIN LUTHER Selections From
His Writings, 23 25, Luther.pdf), one of the writings of the religious reformer Martin Luther.

Although both mentioned the inseparability of faith and good works, as mentioned in Doctrine
of Monotheism Commitment is not complete without both word and act (The World of Islam,
178) and in Preface to Romans It is impossible, indeed, to separate works from faith (MARTIN
LUTHER, 24), the relationship of faith and works is completely different as to their cause and
effect. In Doctrine of Monotheism, works is clearly described as a required part of faith. It is
addressed in two parts, verbal profession, which is fulfilled by confessing the trueness of God
and his messengers, and active profession, which is done by the fulfillment of all the divine
ordinances. Under such view, faith is seen as derived from righteous behaviors. In another word,
good works is an integral part of faith and its prerequisite. On the opposite side, in Preface to
Romans, the author completely denies such view of the causality of works and faith. He made
his point clear by fiercely accusing the traditional practice of people doing works while feeling
that faith is not enough, calling such practice nonsense . He further explains that a person of faith
never seeks good works to do, because the faith in him with Holy Spirit would make him to do
good in a natural and spontaneous manner. Thus, the author reasoned that one who is not active in
this way and is searching for good works to do has no

Dred Scott V. Sandford
When Dred Scott v. Sandford was decided in 1857, it made an enormous impact on the United
States. It riled up both pro and anti slavery Americans. It angered many Americans in an extreme
example of judicial activism. Some say it made the Civil War inevitable. By the time the dust
had settled and the 13th and 14th Amendments reversed the Court s decision, Dred Scott could
be considered one of the worst Supreme Court decisions of all time. And yet, although the case
was egregiously wrong, it still can be considered a great case . As Dred Scott exemplifies, a case
does not have to be good in order to be great . Some of the most important great cases are also
some of the most terrible cases. Our panel would thus prefer to call the cases that fit Mr. White s
definition significant cases rather than great cases , because great generally implies a value
judgment along with its judgment on significance, and in generalizing the idea of a significant
case , value judgments are typically not consistent. There are significant cases that are great, and
significant cases that are the opposite of great. Dred Scott is a significant case but not a great
one. With that clarification in mind, the Dred Scott decision does fit Mr. White s definition of a
significant case, at least in part. There are three main prongs of this definition, each of which
applies to the Dred Scott case: first, a significant case asks the court to resolve a deeply contested
issue; second, the court decides

The Impacts Of Voting Rights In The United States
The Constitution was made to try and make voting less restrictive and for citizens to have a fair say
in the government.
This amendment gave the right to vote to African Americans or any male citizen to vote, no matter
what race they were, the color of their skins, and/or whether they were still a slave or not.
The Grandfather Clause was enacted after the Civil War to bypass the Literacy Test and Poll
Taxes for the White Citizens to vote. The Literacy Test and Poll Taxes were made to test the
Literacy of the voters and if the voter could afford to pay the tax to vote. This was introduced to try
and limit African Americans from votingafter the Civil War.
The impact was that any white male had the ability to vote, no matter religion and that each state
had an equal chance to vote in Congress.
This expanded the right to vote from just white males to all male citizens in the United States. This
did not include Women and that was not introduced until after Women s Suffrage in the 20th
Century.
The Literacy Tests and Poll Taxes punished the poor and illiterate, which punished both African
Americans and White Americans that were poor and uneducated. The Grandfather Clause tried to
bypass the Literacy Tests and Poll Taxes for White Males, but not for African Americans.
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 stopped states from not letting African Americans to vote.
This Act gave the African American people the ability to have a bigger say in the government,
giving them more freedoms.

John Doe Construction Failure
Picking the right contractor could mean the difference between an easy and enjoyable experience
and an endless sea of pain and suffering. Regardless of the size of the project, most people would
narrow down the requirements of a good contractor to three general categories: cost, quality, ability
to meet agreed upon time frames. For businesses, the only additional requirement is
communication. As it pains me to say, John Doe Construction failed to meet the basic expectations
above, it also managed to cost us significant amount of money due to delays. The names of the

Using ‘Ruins of a Great House’ and One Other
Poem
Using Ruins of a Great House and one other poem, which you have studied, compare and contrast
how poets present a sense of place.
A sense of place can be defined and can be used in many different ways by various different
people. To some, it is a characteristic that some places have and some do not, while to others it
is a feeling or perception held by people and not by the place itself. It is often used in relation to
those characteristics that make a place special or unique, as well as to those that adopt a sense of
dependable human attachment and belonging. Homes are often regarded as a place where people
get attached and build relationships with their homes. They are often where most feel a sense of
place. It is why most regard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The tone of The House is extremely important because it communicates the exact mood of the
poem to the reader. This poem has a very gloomy and sad tone. We know this by looking the
sounds that are used and the rhyme scheme. There is no rhyme scheme for this poem and this
helps to bring out the gloomy tone that the poet is trying to achieve. If there were a rhyme
scheme then the poem would sound more bright and rhythmic, almost having a sense of
musicality to it, which would spoil the overall tone of the poem. This gloomy tone can also be
seen in Ruins of a Great House when talking about ancestral murderers who colonised areas and
destroyed cultures. Walcott has no rhyme scheme for this poem which once again echo s how
gloomy this house is because again if a poet uses rhyming, it adds a happy tone to most poems and
almost create a childish effect, which in both poems does not occur.
Finally we can see how both poets present a sense of place in different ways. Sweeney uses
aspects of nature to present his home and how gloomy it is, but how even though home can be
disgusting, anyone can survive it. Whereas Walcott uses other people to create his own aspects
of what a sense of place is, for example the colonisers have created that place and made it theirs,
and they feel a sense of place in it, as do the slave, but this sense of place isn t always

The Prairies Essay example
The term romantic is defined as literature depicting emotional matter in an imaginative form
(Morner). Romanticism was a cultural movement in the eighteenth century that had an impact on in
many areas including music, art, and literature. The movement that Romanticism put forth was so
powerful that today, scholars refer to it as a revolution that took place in rebellion against the
austere views of groups like the Puritans from the previous centuries. Many images of nature in the
writing at this time, as well as writers, encompass sympathetic interests in the past. One particular

Bryant shows his appreciation for those who come before in saying, Man s better nature triumphed
then. (L 79) After continual expansion of the American colonies, many Indian tribes were forced to
leave their native land and move westward. Bryant explains that this had a major impact on the
mound people, The red man came/ The roaming hunter tribes, warlike and fierce, / And the mound
builders vanished from the earth (L 58 61). Then Bryant becomes extremely compassionate for the
vanquished mound people when he says, AllВ—save the piles of earth that hold their bones / The
platforms where they worshipped unknown gods / The barriers which they builded from the soil
/ To keep the foe at bayВ—till o er the walls/ The wild beleaguerers broke, and one by one, / The
strong holds of the plain were forced, and heaped/ With corpses (L 64 71). After taking over the
prairies form the mound people, the Indians then lived peacefully until they again come in contact
with the colonists. The colonist way on life is what again forces the Indians to leave because all
of the bison had been killed. Later in the poem Bryant then shows sympathetic feelings toward the
Indians after their way of life was changed by the colonists when he states, The white man s
faceВ—among Missouri s springs,/ And pools whose issues swell the Oregan,/ He rears his little
Venice. In the plains/ The bison feeds no more (L 95 98). William Cullen Bryant

Bible Justice
Justice is something, that I believe, each and every person in this world deeply desires. But, justice
does not mean the same thing for every individual. Justice, in fact, can have many different
meanings. To the majority, justice means fairness or equality. However, in the Bible, the word
justice is sometimes translated judgment and righteousness (Hollinger, 2009). At times, God s
justiceis linked to God s holiness (Hollinger, 2009) and on other occasions, God s justice is what

Bounty Hunter Levi Owens Essay
Bounty hunter Levi Owens glared at the wanted poster one last time. He folded the tattered notice
and slid it into his vest pocket. All he needed was two weeks to track the swindler and another to
drag his worthless hide back to Austin. All he wanted was to shoot him dead.
His pack mule kicked out and Levi cursed its previous owner. A poorly trained animal took a lot
of work, but right now, it was all he could afford. He loaded the last bag of the provisions on the
mule and pulled a tarp over the rest of his supplies. When he turned around, he locked eyes with
his widowed sister in law Rose. She wrapped her hands around a smooth handled shovel and
stabbed it into the ground.
Six months ago, Levi buried his wife Anna. In many ways, Rose looked ... Show more content on

The Holy One of Israel in Isaiah
The Holy One of Israel This essay concerns about the meaning of the divine title The Holy One of
Israel in the Book of Isaiah. It is going to state clearly the study approach before going into the
discussion.
Approach of this essay
The book of Isaiah had been studied through different approaches of which three are quite
distinctive[1].
(1)A pre critical, or traditional, understanding, still found in some conservative scholars. They keep
the entire book of Isaiah connected to the prophet Isaiah of the eighth century B.C.E. There is
nothing intrinsically impossible as the approach is prophecy . With the rise of historical criticism ,
such an approach has been commonly rejected in the interpretive world.

Israel acquires holiness by being obedient to God s commandments and faithful to His covenant
(Lev 11:44; Deut 28:9)[4]. The concept of holiness permeates the life of Israel. Even the land
occupied by the people is considered holy (Zech 2:12). The capital city Jerusalem is designated as
the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High (Ps 46:4).
The Holy One of Israel
The term The Holy One of Israel reflects the dialectical relation between The Holy One and
Israel . It is a relation with the Holy One with a non holy entity[5]. The Holy One requires Israel
to be holy. Be holy because I, the Lord Your God, am holy (Lev 19:2). The separate one becomes
the attached one. Their relation is bound by covenant. The challenge of the relation is Israel s
unfaithfulness in worshipping other god s. The most notable example is the imposition of Baal
worship on the northern kingdom by Ahab s marriage to Jezebel. Both the northern and the
southern kingdoms suffered captivity. Any rebellious from Israel side causes discipline from The
Holy One side. Exile from Israel causes In the midst from the other, punishment causes redemption
, go astray causes teaches and leads etc. In the Book of Isaiah, the Holy One is the Lord, God. The
Lord has passion. He is angry at Israel who rejects His laws (5:24; 31:1) but His compassion is
good news more directly for the powerless (29:19). He is the Creator of Israel (43:15), the Maker of
this nation (17:7;

Common Names Research Paper
The name is a very powerful thing. A name is typically the first thing someone learns about
someone else. Simply a name can describe an individual s identity. Names do not only tell a
person s story, they also shape an identity and are impactful and important. The first impressions an
individual makes about someone else are often based upon his or her name. When a personhears a
familiar or common name, a positive image often comes to mind. Meanwhile, individuals with
unique and different names are often subjected to judgment based upon the assumptions of first

Assumptions are based solely on a name and this first impression can be negative. Those with
unusual names are viewed differently and negatively compared to others. Being viewed negatively
impacts personality and generates insecurities. Research has found that, a name that is perceived as
too different may actually have an adverse effect on your child later in life (Willets). Essentially, it
is sought to be harder for those with complex names to receive jobs. This is because unique names
could put a halt to their career and life. A study found that a resume submitted under a perceived
African American name received less attention from employers than the identical resume bearing a
more Caucasian name (Goudreau). These assumptions are cultivated because people feel that they
do not share a connection with someone who an uncommon name, thus, they immediately draw
negative conclusions about the person through their name. While those assumptions are often
wrong, they can have a considerable influence on one s life and identity. The self esteem of an
individual with a less desirable name also contributes to their identity. When people are judged by
their name, their self image is damaged due to insecurities that they portray. When a person with an

The ambiguous ending of the play is an overarching representation of the kind of silence women
receive in society. The Duke s marriage proposal to Isabella, is seen as a way of justice to preserve
her moral reputation and to give her an identity, however, it also represents how much power he
holds over her especially because she is unable to give an answer. This ambiguity and lack of
response from Isabella s part can represent an implied agreement. Isabella is the female character
with the most agency, but in this instance she is vulnerable and powerless. The Duke proclaims,
If he be like your brother, for his sake, give me your hand and say you will be mine, (Act 5,
Scene 1). The Duke takes advantage of his power by proposing to Isabella; he wants something
in return for keeping her brother alive. This is the second time in the play when Isabella is
confronted by a powerful and egotistical male figure. Isabella herself admits to Angelo that,
Women are frail... Women? Help, Heaven! Men their creation man in profiting them. For we are

Public Order Crimes
Assignment #4Ingrid Victorero
1. What are public order crimes, and how are they different from violent and property crimes?
Explain how moral entrepreneurship affects the public perception of morality and thus the creation
of new public order crimes.
Answer:
Public order crimes are crimes against the public consensus of morality. Sometimes public order
crimes are called victimless crimes, as there is no clear victim that can be identified. A crime
against the public order is quite different than a crime against a person. Violent and property
crimes are a direct victimization against a person. The victim has been affected by violence and

For this reason, victimless crimes are often called consensual crimes. One common example of a
victimless crime is prostitution. Offering sexual favors in exchange for money is considered a
crime in many places. Both the solicitor and the prostitute can be arrested for violating public
decency laws. If, however, both parties are deemed to have committed the illegal act consensually,
then neither party may be considered victims in the eyes of the law. Prostitution is often not a free
choice. Prostitution is usually accompanied by forms of force or enslavement Most prostitutes use
drugs regularly. Addiction means they must stay to pay for drugs. Pimping, gangsterism; runaway
girls to cities or immigrants who are promised good jobs. Often, the initial loss of innocence was

the person to engage in commercial sex acts. An individual engaged in street prostitution under the
age of 18 is considered a victim of sex trafficking regardless of the presence of force, fraud or

Shipping Patented By E Commerce Giant
Anticipatory shipping is a method of shipping patented by e commerce giant Amazon in December
2013. During the normal shipping process, an e commerce retailer or goods manufacturer receives
a customer order specifying the exact address where the product is to be delivered. The company
then prepares the packageand hands it over to a shipping service provider such as FedEx for
delivery. The delay of multiple days between order placement and actual delivery is a major
impediment to the wide acceptance of e commerce. It forces e commerce companies to offer
incentives like cash on delivery to their customers. Anticipatory shipping is aimed at cutting the
delivery time and improving the experience for e commerce users. With this technique, a company
will ship products even before an order is placed by a customer. It would specify only a partial
address indicating destination geographical area for delivery. While the packages are in transit, the
company will employ advanced analytics and forecastingtechniques to predict which customers
would want to buy the shipped products. Then it could use targeted marketing and sales
promotions to induce such customers to buy the products. If a customer indeed places an order,
the company would provide exact delivery address to the shipping service provider and the
products could be delivered much quicker, even on the same day.

system affects pretty much every cell and organ in your body. This system includes every single
gland in your body that makes hormones. These glandsinclude the pituitary gland, parathyroid
glands, adrenal glands, thyroid gland, Pancreas, ovaries in females and testicles in males. These
collection of glands produce and secrete (release) hormones directly into the blood stream. These
hormones target specific cells in an organ, this is to control metabolism, growth and development,
tissue function, sexual function, reproduction, sleep and mood. This is to help the body work the
way it is suppose to. Homeostasis is the process of maintaining a constant internal environment

Symptonms include abdominal pain, your abdomen may become swollen and vomiting. Most
of the time it settles in a few days but sometimes it becomes severe. Acute pancreatitis is mostly
cause by drinking a lot of alcohol and gallstones. There are enzymes in your body (digestive
chemicals) that the Pancreas creates, they then become active d and start to digest your
Pancreas. This leads to multiple chemical reactions that cause inflammation on the Pancreas.
This is what happens during Acute Pancreatitis. The consequences that acute pancreatitis has on
your body is very serious. It can lead to multi organ damage/failure. Really bad cases of Acute
Pancreatitis can lead to hypovolemiv shock which is a condition where the liquid portion of
your blood (plasma) is too low, Severe blood and fluid loss can leave the heart not being able to

Pablo Picasso The Old Guitarist
I chose to write about The Old Guitarist by Pablo Picasso, which is an artwork that was painted
with oil on a panel that is displayed in the Chicago Art Institute. It s quite large in size to scale
and appearance in relation to the framework. It appears to be cramped in the frame because it is
presented on a small canvas, but it actually measures in at 48 3/8 x 32 ВЅ. This painting may have
paved the way for Picasso some may say by possibly being a pivotal moment in his life. The Art
Institute of Chicago received this piece of artwork in 1926 and put it on display. The Old Guitarist
became Picasso s first painting to be acquired by an American museum, and according to the Art
Institute of Chicago, it was also the first Picasso painting that... Show more content on

Picasso is one of the most fascinating artists to me for one of the reasons of being able to use a
combination of traditional materials, such as oil, paint, found materials, chalk, sand and much
more. In this painting he chose oil to work with and he went with a flat effect with a
monochromatic color scheme in order to convey a feeling and a mood. Those details create a
two dimensional figure that dissociates the guitarist from time and place within the painting.
He chose to work with blue which is used to symbolize coldness, depression, darkness and the
emotional and psychological feelings of humans. The only detail of The Old Guitarist that is
not completely blue along with the rest of the painting is the man s guitar. The difference of
color of the guitar could be seen on how Picasso viewed his own art as a happy place even in his
darkest times, therefore it wasn t blue and considered the same mood as the rest of the painting,
which was dark and cold, because he had a good feeling when it came to art. The Old Guitarist is
one of Picasso s most disturbingly haunting pieces of work that he made while he was in
Barcelona. What seems to be a simple painting of a man and his guitar really has a much deeper
meaning and purpose. It is said that The Old Guitarist has secrets in its past and in its paint.

What Is The Theme Of Personal Identity In Dead Man
Jim Jarmusch s film Dead Man tells the story of a man from Cleveland, at that time one of the
already civilised and industrialised parts of the United States of America (Aurich et al. 231), who is
heading west to work as an accountant for the company Dickinson Metal Works. The story is set in
the second half of the nineteenth century, when the frontier, at the western part of North America,
was still a rough environment for settlers. It is almost comical that William Bill Blake, the main
protagonist of the movie played by the actor Johnny Depp, travels to the still unknown and
adventurous west to take up the unexcitedly and greatly unromantically position of an accountant
(Aurich et al. 231).

to laugh at Bill Blake, everyone in the office jumps in, as if they want to please him. John
Dickinson, the company owner, expels Bill Blake with the help of his rifle. A western hero
would start to fight for his rights now, however, Blake just leaves the office confused and
distressed (Mauer 217). It is a difficult task for him to find his way out of the company building.

Television Impact On The Television Industry
The television industry is growing, with so many genres to explore, and varying age groups
producers can target, there is always a show to watch. In western cultures the hours spent watching
television has drastically increased with the television market opens up the potential of more
variety. This escalation of televisionattraction has affected the way young people interact with
each other. Television has transformed the concepts of identity and commonalities among peers.
To understand whether this transformation is a good or bad, a study was done looking at the
effects watching one show has on a group of people. The study included five people, three
females, and two males, all of whom are currently watching The Vampire Dairies (TVD) based
on the novels by L. J. Smith, starring Ian Somerhalder, Paul Welsey, and Nina Dobrev. Two
females who had been watching it in the past but have sense ceased were also included in this
study, in order to get the fuller picture. The accounts all shared how the experience of watching
television among young adults at the Canadian Mennonite University has had a positive impact on
their friendships. The first major theme I found during this study was the perception everyone had
about what television meant to him or her and how that reflected how he or she defined
community. No matter if it was the previews that caught their attention, or he or she had free time
to spare, or him or he had heard from friends that it was a decent show, they

Aggression in Youth Linked to Moral Development
The development of aggression in youth has been linked to their moral development. As
children get older, they become increasingly more aware of social judgments of acceptable
behavior. Moral development is the process that allows children to comprehend, incorporate, and
apply moral and ethical values to the behaviors they enact in everyday life (3). Because there is
evidence that supports a relationship between individuals genetic makeup and their aggressive
behaviors, psychological development is thought to begin in the womb. It is in the womb where
the child receives all the genes necessary for future development. There are factors that influence
prenatal development of genes in the womb such as poor maternal nutrition, exposure to
surrounding environmental toxins, or the ingestion of alcohol by future mothers. These factors
along with rapid growth of the brain during the second half of pregnancy puts fetuses at risk for
having underdeveloped brains which affect the children s future reasoning abilities (3).
However, all children begin life as amoral beings in the state of infancy because most of their
behavior is being involuntarily controlled by the subcortical region of the brain. Over the course
of the first year infants slowly gain control of their impulses and predecessors of anti social
behavior emerge towards the end of it (3). This was exemplified by Margaret C. Holmberg in her
1980 study of the development of social behaviors conducted on children one to three

The Lemon Test
The court case resulted in the establishment of a set of legal criteria for determining whether a law
violates the Establishment Clause in the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. The
Establishment Clause in the First Amendment states that the United States Congress cannot permit
a law that establishes religion or forbids the free speech thereof. This set of legal criteria was later
referred to as the Lemon Test . The Lemon Test consisted of three rules: First, the statute must have
a secular legislative purpose; second, its principal or primary effect must be one that neither
advances nor inhibits religion; finally, the statute must not foster an excessive government
entanglement with religion (Allison). In 1981, the National... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The overall goal of these counseling sessions was to assess the quality and accuracy of pharmacist
s patient counseling of herbal and supplemental products. The initial pilot study was of small scale
and 20 out of 34 pharmacists completed the PC G/ PC HDS centered counseling sessions with their
pharmacist. The pharmacists recruited for these initial sessions were selected based on their having
a variety of experience with counseling patients on the use of herbal and supplemental products.
The subsequent study, which was larger in scale was conducted using pharmacists that had
professional experience in counseling patients and knowledge of herbal and supplemental products.
179 out of 330 patients completed the validation large scale study (Lin et al., 2010).
Parameters were set for the pharmacists, to guide the patient counseling interactions. Patient
interviews were designed as both study specific knowledge, attitude, behavior (KAB) surveys as
well as Likert type surveys. Specific counseling dialogue was expected to be centered around three
main categories of patient interviewing, as set by APhA and other literature. These categories
included fostering relationships/ information gathering, assessment and plan/follow up (Lin et al. ,
2010). Ultimately, there were eleven items that fell under the three main categories that guided the
pharmacists further in their line of questioning.

Essay On The Doll Test
After Martin Luther King Jr. s assassination, white people did not understand what African
Americans had to go through during this time. The main issue was the disconnection between what
whites knew about the racism and what the black had experienced. The Doll Test implemented by
the two Doctors Kenneth and Mamie Clark were interviewing throughout this experience African
Americanchildren who could choose between four different types of skin colored dolls. The
alarming results were that the majority of children prefer to choose the white doll, which they
indicate as something good and positive. Dr. Kenneth Clark recalled: The Dolls Test was an
attempt on the part of my wife and me to study the development of the sense of self esteem in
children. We worked with Negro children I ll call black children to see the extent to which their

The Biological And Environmental Causes Of Alpine Ecosystems
Introduction
Alpine Ecosystems Alpine lands account for approximately 20% of the Earth s total terrestrial
land mass and house almost 10% of the world s population (Ives and Messerli, 1999). Alpine
ecosystems are categorized similarly to high latitudinal locations as extreme ecosystems . In these
ecosystems, there are controls to the environmental variables that govern their hydrological and
biological cycles. For example, they often experience extreme conditions of light, temperature, and
precipitation that may restrict and limit vegetation growing conditions and the abundance of live
animals. However, these limiting conditions have also established the ideal conditions for a wide
distribution of snow and ice across mountains and plateaus (Xiao et al., 2002) and are characterized
by rapid seasonal changes, which plays an important role in the regional climate and any available
water resources (Goodison et al., 1999).
The fourth assessment report published by the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC 4AR)
found that global warming is unequivocal, and has been confirmed by a rise in average air and
ocean temperatures, the widespread melting of snow and ice, and a rise in mean sea level. The
IPCC 4AR also concluded that warming is expected to be greatest in the extreme environments of
high northern latitudes and upper alpine basins. It is anticipated that snow cover will diminish and
that heat waves and heavy precipitation events will become more frequent.

Project Plan And Workflow For Complete The Final Video
Project Methodology:
In this chapter, I present the project plan and workflow I used to complete the final video. In the
last part I discuss other software programs used to accomplish other tasks in the post production
stage.
Production Workflow:
The process to complete the insertion of a CG into a life footage is the same as a media production
workflow. The matchmoving process is part of an animation workflow which is part of the
production
workflow. To achieve the final footage there is need to incorporate inherit workflows together.
Video Production Workflow:
To create a film, the process need to follow the basis of the media production workflow.

that
will suit this project.
Figure 2: A basic VFX workflow showing the production stages.
I decided to combine the production workflow and the basic matchmoving workflow so as to
accommodate
changes during the project. In figure1 below it shows a basic animation production workflow with
the
corresponding video production stages and figure2 is a basic matchmove workflow with the
different
production stages. The incorporation of CG into a live footage involves a large scale of processes.
Figure 3: A basic Matchmove workflow showing production stages.
In a simple VFX scene, the animator is responsible for the 3D creation, a visual artist is
responsible for the composite and the key role is played by the matchmover who create the CG
camera
from the real camera and ensure others have the generated CG scene to work with. The
matchmoving
usually happens early in the production workflow.
Figure 4: Adapted Workflow for the project.
I was able to derive this workflow for the insertion of the 3D into the live action footage. The
production is divided into 3 stages as a normal video production process.
Pre Production: I decided to have this into 2 stages. The first stage was a plan of the video
sequence plot.

The Drought Of The Western United States
WP 4
The drought in the western United States is a nationwide concern that directly affects every person
in California. It is every person s responsibility to use water sustainably and no college, including
the University of Southern California, is an exception. Rather than lagging behind sustainable water
usage, USC should be at the forefront of it. On the surface of USC s environmental sustainability
campaign, it seems as if they are making sweeping changes; however directly under the first
layer of facts there are holes in their plan. If USC made small changes to both their resident hall
and landscaping water use, they could not only save money but also better USC s
environmentally friendly status. Regardless of whether or not California is in a drought, USC
should still strive to be a model for water sustainability because it would not only better the
school s reputation of being a green university, but it would also save money. From a wider
scope of things, water usage is important for more reasons than solely the drought in California.
As the world s population nears 7.4 billion people, more people are born each day compared to
how many pass away. Looking at the world s total volume of water, only 2.5% of it is drinkable
fresh water. Furthermore, 70% of that freshwater is frozen. With an every increase population like
the one we have today, it is likely that water will become the most important resource to mankind.
The problem lies in the way the fresh water is

  • 2. Physics Of A Dc Electric Eld In a DC electric п¬Ѓeld, charged particles moves to an electrode that has anwith opposite polarity. In an AC electric field, charged particles oscillate, and their amplitudes are determined by the amount of the total particle charge. The oscillation amplitude of the charged particle is proportional to the amount of the charge density (q) and the applied voltage (E), and is inversely proportional to the radius of the particle (r), the medium viscosity (О·), or the applied frequency (f) [28]. When E, О·, r, and f are constant values, the amplitude d of the particle is simply related to the charge density q . In this case, analyzing the amplitude of the oscillating particle under the AC electric п¬Ѓeld has the same meaning with as evaluating... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An AC electric п¬Ѓeld was applied to a sample containing the fluorescent microspheres, and the oscillation amplitudes of the fluorescent microspheres were observed by using a fluorescent fluorescence microscope (TE2000 U, Nikon). The continuous CCD images were recorded in a computer as a movie п¬Ѓle format. After the analysis of the recorded data, the oscillation amplitude d was calculated as the average of one way distances [28]. The amplitudes of the 10 different microspheres were individually measured, and an the average of these amplitudes was used as the amplitude d . 4.3 Preparation of biofunctional microspheres 4.3.1 Preparation of IgG modiп¬Ѓed and Biotin IgG modiп¬Ѓed microspheres Two kinds types of microspheres modiп¬Ѓed with IgG (IgG bead) and biotin labeled IgG (Biotin IgG bead) were prepared as shown in Figure 4 (a). Two kinds types of microsphere, carboxylate modiп¬Ѓed microspheres and orange fluorescence (540/560), were mixed in a carbonate buffer solution (0.1 M), and the mixture was centrifuged (1000 rpm, 5 min). After repeating the washing step more than twice, a small portion of PBS (10 mM, pH 7.0) was added to the microspheres mixtures of microspheres with the addition of carbodiimide. The Encyclopaedia of Business, 2nd Edition on the Reference for Business website describes a role of a management information system as a computer system that provides management and other personnel within an organisation with up to date information (Management Information Systems, para 4). A bad behaviour scenario is when this system does not meet the intended requirements and leaves the business less efficient and the customers dissatisfied. First scenario: A patient suffers from heart disease. Their medical consultation history such as appointments and follow up care is taken care of by the case management system and the progress of their heart disease in managed by the disease management system. The patient moves houses and thus has a change in address, however this change, due to poor management, has only been recorded in the disease management system and thus the old address is still active in the case management system. In Doctrine of Monotheism, works is clearly described as a required part of faith. It is addressed in two parts, verbal profession, which is fulfilled by confessing the trueness of God and his messengers, and active profession, which is done by the fulfillment of all the divine ordinances. Under such view, faith is seen as derived from righteous behaviors. In another word, good works is an integral part of faith and its prerequisite. On the opposite side, in Preface to Romans, the author completely denies such view of the causality of works and faith. He made his point clear by fiercely accusing the traditional practice of people doing works while feeling that faith is not enough, calling such practice nonsense . He further explains that a person of faith never seeks good works to do, because the faith in him with Holy Spirit would make him to do good in a natural and spontaneous manner. • 10. Dred Scott V. Sandford When Dred Scott v. Sandford was decided in 1857, it made an enormous impact on the United States. It riled up both pro and anti slavery Americans. It angered many Americans in an extreme example of judicial activism. Some say it made the Civil War inevitable. By the time the dust had settled and the 13th and 14th Amendments reversed the Court s decision, Dred Scott could be considered one of the worst Supreme Court decisions of all time. And yet, although the case was egregiously wrong, it still can be considered a great case . As Dred Scott exemplifies, a case does not have to be good in order to be great . Some of the most important great cases are also some of the most terrible cases. Our panel would thus prefer to call the cases that fit Mr. White s definition significant cases rather than great cases , because great generally implies a value judgment along with its judgment on significance, and in generalizing the idea of a significant case , value judgments are typically not consistent. There are significant cases that are great, and significant cases that are the opposite of great. Dred Scott is a significant case but not a great one. With that clarification in mind, the Dred Scott decision does fit Mr. White s definition of a significant case, at least in part. There are three main prongs of this definition, each of which applies to the Dred Scott case: first, a significant case asks the court to resolve a deeply contested issue; second, the court decides ... • 11. The Impacts Of Voting Rights In The United States The Constitution was made to try and make voting less restrictive and for citizens to have a fair say in the government. This amendment gave the right to vote to African Americans or any male citizen to vote, no matter what race they were, the color of their skins, and/or whether they were still a slave or not. The Grandfather Clause was enacted after the Civil War to bypass the Literacy Test and Poll Taxes for the White Citizens to vote. The Literacy Test and Poll Taxes were made to test the Literacy of the voters and if the voter could afford to pay the tax to vote. This was introduced to try and limit African Americans from votingafter the Civil War. The impact was that any white male had the ability to vote, no matter religion and that each state had an equal chance to vote in Congress. This expanded the right to vote from just white males to all male citizens in the United States. This did not include Women and that was not introduced until after Women s Suffrage in the 20th Century. The Literacy Tests and Poll Taxes punished the poor and illiterate, which punished both African Americans and White Americans that were poor and uneducated. The Grandfather Clause tried to bypass the Literacy Tests and Poll Taxes for White Males, but not for African Americans. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 stopped states from not letting African Americans to vote. This Act gave the African American people the ability to have a bigger say in the government, giving them more freedoms. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Regardless of the size of the project, most people would narrow down the requirements of a good contractor to three general categories: cost, quality, ability to meet agreed upon time frames. For businesses, the only additional requirement is communication. As it pains me to say, John Doe Construction failed to meet the basic expectations above, it also managed to cost us significant amount of money due to delays. A sense of place can be defined and can be used in many different ways by various different people. To some, it is a characteristic that some places have and some do not, while to others it is a feeling or perception held by people and not by the place itself. It is often used in relation to those characteristics that make a place special or unique, as well as to those that adopt a sense of dependable human attachment and belonging. Homes are often regarded as a place where people get attached and build relationships with their homes. They are often where most feel a sense of place. It is why most regard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The tone of The House is extremely important because it communicates the exact mood of the poem to the reader. This poem has a very gloomy and sad tone. We know this by looking the sounds that are used and the rhyme scheme. There is no rhyme scheme for this poem and this helps to bring out the gloomy tone that the poet is trying to achieve. If there were a rhyme scheme then the poem would sound more bright and rhythmic, almost having a sense of musicality to it, which would spoil the overall tone of the poem. This gloomy tone can also be seen in Ruins of a Great House when talking about ancestral murderers who colonised areas and destroyed cultures. Walcott has no rhyme scheme for this poem which once again echo s how gloomy this house is because again if a poet uses rhyming, it adds a happy tone to most poems and almost create a childish effect, which in both poems does not occur. Finally we can see how both poets present a sense of place in different ways. Sweeney uses aspects of nature to present his home and how gloomy it is, but how even though home can be disgusting, anyone can survive it. Whereas Walcott uses other people to create his own aspects of what a sense of place is, for example the colonisers have created that place and made it theirs, and they feel a sense of place in it, as do the slave, but this sense of place isn t always ... Justice, in fact, can have many different meanings. To the majority, justice means fairness or equality. However, in the Bible, the word justice is sometimes translated judgment and righteousness (Hollinger, 2009). At times, God s justiceis linked to God s holiness (Hollinger, 2009) and on other occasions, God s justice is what meets the demands of God s holiness and retributive justice or judgment, thereby procuring human salvation through Christ s death on the cross (Hollinger, 2009). In the beautiful passage of Scripture, Micah 6:6 8, Israel asks the Lord what He desires of them. Israel had been a very disobedient group of people and were unsure how to come before the Lord, because their sin had distanced them from Him. The idea of paying a college athlete appears to be outrageous to some. The thought of giving someone money for something they have chosen to do may not appear to be fair. During the normal shipping process, an e commerce retailer or goods manufacturer receives a customer order specifying the exact address where the product is to be delivered. The company then prepares the packageand hands it over to a shipping service provider such as FedEx for delivery. The delay of multiple days between order placement and actual delivery is a major impediment to the wide acceptance of e commerce. It forces e commerce companies to offer incentives like cash on delivery to their customers. Anticipatory shipping is aimed at cutting the delivery time and improving the experience for e commerce users. With this technique, a company will ship products even before an order is placed by a customer. It would specify only a partial address indicating destination geographical area for delivery. While the packages are in transit, the company will employ advanced analytics and forecastingtechniques to predict which customers would want to buy the shipped products. Then it could use targeted marketing and sales promotions to induce such customers to buy the products. Picasso is one of the most fascinating artists to me for one of the reasons of being able to use a combination of traditional materials, such as oil, paint, found materials, chalk, sand and much more. In this painting he chose oil to work with and he went with a flat effect with a monochromatic color scheme in order to convey a feeling and a mood. Those details create a two dimensional figure that dissociates the guitarist from time and place within the painting. He chose to work with blue which is used to symbolize coldness, depression, darkness and the emotional and psychological feelings of humans. The only detail of The Old Guitarist that is not completely blue along with the rest of the painting is the man s guitar. The difference of color of the guitar could be seen on how Picasso viewed his own art as a happy place even in his darkest times, therefore it wasn t blue and considered the same mood as the rest of the painting, which was dark and cold, because he had a good feeling when it came to art. The Old Guitarist is one of Picasso s most disturbingly haunting pieces of work that he made while he was in Barcelona. As children get older, they become increasingly more aware of social judgments of acceptable behavior. Moral development is the process that allows children to comprehend, incorporate, and apply moral and ethical values to the behaviors they enact in everyday life (3). Because there is evidence that supports a relationship between individuals genetic makeup and their aggressive behaviors, psychological development is thought to begin in the womb. It is in the womb where the child receives all the genes necessary for future development. There are factors that influence prenatal development of genes in the womb such as poor maternal nutrition, exposure to surrounding environmental toxins, or the ingestion of alcohol by future mothers. These factors along with rapid growth of the brain during the second half of pregnancy puts fetuses at risk for having underdeveloped brains which affect the children s future reasoning abilities (3). However, all children begin life as amoral beings in the state of infancy because most of their behavior is being involuntarily controlled by the subcortical region of the brain. Over the course of the first year infants slowly gain control of their impulses and predecessors of anti social behavior emerge towards the end of it (3). This was exemplified by Margaret C. • 51. Essay On The Doll Test After Martin Luther King Jr. s assassination, white people did not understand what African Americans had to go through during this time. The main issue was the disconnection between what whites knew about the racism and what the black had experienced. The Doll Test implemented by the two Doctors Kenneth and Mamie Clark were interviewing throughout this experience African Americanchildren who could choose between four different types of skin colored dolls. The alarming results were that the majority of children prefer to choose the white doll, which they indicate as something good and positive. Dr. Kenneth Clark recalled: The Dolls Test was an attempt on the part of my wife and me to study the development of the sense of self esteem in children. We worked with Negro children I ll call black children to see the extent to which their color, their sense of their own raceand status, influenced their judgment about themselves, self esteem (Brown at 60: The Doll Test).... Children are not born as racist, they do not have hate in them right away, and furthermore it is a learning experience. Back then a children surroundings fed them with racism and so the chain continued in spreading racism. Elliott showed back in 1968 how simply you can brain wash someone, just by telling the individuals that they are special, something better than others. The powerful experiment had an important message about inner prejudice, racism and stereotypical behavior to bring across our society and country. As a result, we as a society and parents need to teach our kids equal values and to like yourself no matter someone s skin color, instead of judging yourself of society s stereotypical ... • 53. The Biological And Environmental Causes Of Alpine Ecosystems Introduction Alpine Ecosystems Alpine lands account for approximately 20% of the Earth s total terrestrial land mass and house almost 10% of the world s population (Ives and Messerli, 1999). Alpine ecosystems are categorized similarly to high latitudinal locations as extreme ecosystems . In these ecosystems, there are controls to the environmental variables that govern their hydrological and biological cycles. For example, they often experience extreme conditions of light, temperature, and precipitation that may restrict and limit vegetation growing conditions and the abundance of live animals. However, these limiting conditions have also established the ideal conditions for a wide distribution of snow and ice across mountains and plateaus (Xiao et al., 2002) and are characterized by rapid seasonal changes, which plays an important role in the regional climate and any available water resources (Goodison et al., 1999). The fourth assessment report published by the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC 4AR) found that global warming is unequivocal, and has been confirmed by a rise in average air and ocean temperatures, the widespread melting of snow and ice, and a rise in mean sea level. The IPCC 4AR also concluded that warming is expected to be greatest in the extreme environments of high northern latitudes and upper alpine basins. It is anticipated that snow cover will diminish and that heat waves and heavy precipitation events will become more frequent. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 54. Project Plan And Workflow For Complete The Final Video Project Methodology: In this chapter, I present the project plan and workflow I used to complete the final video. In the last part I discuss other software programs used to accomplish other tasks in the post production stage. Production Workflow: The process to complete the insertion of a CG into a life footage is the same as a media production workflow. The matchmoving process is part of an animation workflow which is part of the production workflow. To achieve the final footage there is need to incorporate inherit workflows together. Video Production Workflow: To create a film, the process need to follow the basis of the media production workflow. Figure 1: Video production Process Preproduction: This is the beginning of ... After my research into the matchmoving workflow, I decided to create an adaptation of a workflow that will suit this project. Figure 2: A basic VFX workflow showing the production stages. I decided to combine the production workflow and the basic matchmoving workflow so as to accommodate changes during the project. In figure1 below it shows a basic animation production workflow with the corresponding video production stages and figure2 is a basic matchmove workflow with the different production stages. The incorporation of CG into a live footage involves a large scale of processes. Figure 3: A basic Matchmove workflow showing production stages.
  • 55. In a simple VFX scene, the animator is responsible for the 3D creation, a visual artist is responsible for the composite and the key role is played by the matchmover who create the CG camera from the real camera and ensure others have the generated CG scene to work with. The matchmoving usually happens early in the production workflow. Figure 4: Adapted Workflow for the project. I was able to derive this workflow for the insertion of the 3D into the live action footage. The production is divided into 3 stages as a normal video production process. Pre Production: I decided to have this into 2 stages. The first stage was a plan of the video sequence plot. The evaluation stage is a part of the matchmoving process but doesn t ... • 56. The Drought Of The Western United States WP 4 The drought in the western United States is a nationwide concern that directly affects every person in California. It is every person s responsibility to use water sustainably and no college, including the University of Southern California, is an exception. Rather than lagging behind sustainable water usage, USC should be at the forefront of it. On the surface of USC s environmental sustainability campaign, it seems as if they are making sweeping changes; however directly under the first layer of facts there are holes in their plan. If USC made small changes to both their resident hall and landscaping water use, they could not only save money but also better USC s environmentally friendly status. Regardless of whether or not California is in a drought, USC should still strive to be a model for water sustainability because it would not only better the school s reputation of being a green university, but it would also save money. From a wider scope of things, water usage is important for more reasons than solely the drought in California. As the world s population nears 7.4 billion people, more people are born each day compared to how many pass away. Looking at the world s total volume of water, only 2.5% of it is drinkable fresh water. Furthermore, 70% of that freshwater is frozen. With an every increase population like the one we have today, it is likely that water will become the most important resource to mankind. The problem lies in the way the fresh water is ...
