This session reports on a trial designed to expand the adoption of e-marking, and reduce the cost and waste associated with printing assignments at the University of Adelaide. 30 iPads were purchased and pre-loaded with eMarking software to enable participants to trial e-marking in a supportive environment. The recipients were trained in using iPads and mobile e-marking apps, together with the MyUni assignment functions, to build their confidence un using technology for marking. The session will outline the learnings from the trial and factors contributing towards its success in convincing more than the originally intended participants to try paperless marking, and consider the impact and benefits of marking online versus printing. It will discuss the 'Dissemination for Action' model used within the project to bring about a change of marking practice across a wide variety of academic disciplines.

ACCEPTABILITY OF K12 SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE MONITOR...IJITE
The K to 12 Basic Education program uses standards and a competency-based grading system. These are
found in the curriculum guides. All grades will be based on the weighted raw score of the learners’
summative assessments. Senior High School Students have been graded on three categories the written
work, performance tasks, and quarterly assessments. Technology plays a substantial role in helping
teachers in the progress, communication, application, and grading of assessment tasks. The correlational
aspect aims to establish the degree to which the variables of on the level of compliance of the developed
application affects and influences the level of acceptance of the system as perceived by the respondents.
From the level of acceptance of the system when it comes to its performance efficiency is directly affected
by the level of compliance of the system in its compatibility and reliability. This means that changes on the
identified variables may directly affect the variables on the level of acceptance of the system. The findings
of significant difference on the perceptions of the IT expert and the Users on the level of acceptance of the
system simply imply that the IT experts and the users does not share similar perceptions on the system. This
means that there is a significant difference on the level of acceptance of the system as perceived by the
users and the IT experts.
Staying competitive in the IT field
is a challenge. The use of IT certification programs
involves a number of critical issues and implications
for higher educational institutions (HEIs), educators,
administrators, students, and the IT industry. Hence,
there is a compelling need to gather and share IT
certification program data to chart a comparative
analysis across HEIs that are using certification
programs. This study presents a summary of key
findings among the Bachelor of Science in Computer

MEASURING UTILIZATION OF E-LEARNING COURSE DISCRETE MATHEMATICS TOWARD MOTIVA...AM Publications
In the implementation of learning E-Learning which has been implemented by the Mercu Buana University in recent years had a positive impact on students and lecturer. However, in some course such as Discrete Mathematics perceived by lecturer and student have several problems such as difficulty from lecturer to explain some of the logic material or analysis algorithm problem. Students also do not understand clearly if only read from the text that is presented through the e learning process. Effectiveness basically is attainment of precise goal or selecting the appropriate objectives from a series of alternative or choice of ways and determine the choice of several other options. Effectiveness can also be interpreted as a measure of success in achieving the goals that have been determined. As an example if a task can finish with choice of ways which is already determine, then that way is correct or effective.
A Survey on E-Learning System with Data MiningIIRindia
E-learning process has been widely used in university campus and educational institutions are playing vital role to enhance the skill set of students. Modern E-learning done by many electronic devices, such as smartphones, Tabs, and so on, on existing E-learning tools is insufficient to achieve the purpose of online training of education. This paper presents a survey of online e-Learning authoring tools for creating and integrating reusable e-learning tool for generation and enhancing existing learning resources with them. The work concentrates on evaluation of the existing e-learning tools a, and authoring tools that have shown good performance in the past for online learners. This survey work takes more than 20 online tools that deal with the educational sector mechanism, for the purpose of observations, and the outcome were analyzed. The findings of this paper are the main reason for developing a new tool, and it shows that educators can enhance existing learning resources by adding assessment resources, if suitable authoring tools are provided. Finally, the different factors that assure the reusability of the created new e-learning tool has been analysed in this paper.E-learning environment is a guide for both students and tutorial management system. The useful on the e-learning system for apart from students and distance learning students. The purpose of using e-learning environment for online education system, developed in data mining for more number of clustering servers and resource chain has been good.

Project-based learning
The fact that learning is achieved through a number of ways best explains why different methods are tested in order to know the best method that can be applied. Project-based learning is thought to be a solution used to improve students’ state assessment scores when relating to the Common Core State Standards especially in comprehending non-fiction text. However, this method has to be tested in order to be recommended.
Purpose of the study
This study is meant to get the best data collection tool that can be used in a research. Before making any decision on what learning and teaching method to be used in teaching non-fiction texts, it is important to understand how each method works and how it can be used to improve learning. In order to be sure about how a method works, one needs to experiment or collect data that will be used as a base for making conclusions (Eodice, Geller, & Lerner, 2017). The purpose of this study is thus to provide the best data collection tool to be used in getting information that can be used in making viable conclusions.
The research question is; Will the inclusion of project-based learning improve student application of comprehending non-fiction text at a high depth of knowledge level?
Data collection
The researcher will use a number of data collection tools in order to recommend this learning method. The data needed should be quantitative so as to give the researcher the way forward to make a decision. One of the data collection tools to be used is the pre-test and post-tests. This is a type of experiment that will use two groups; where one group is given a treatment while the other group is left to be the control group.
In this sort of experiment, the researcher will collect a random number of people from the community who can be able to read and write. The people will be divided into two groups, the test group, and the control group. The conditions for the test will be set and the treatment applied to the test group. The control group will not be given treatment and after a given period of time, the researcher will collect the results. The results will measure ow the treatment affected the group as differentiated by the control group. The result from the group will be recorded exactly depending on the number of people who participated and how the experiment affected each one of them. This can enable the researcher to know whether the method can be used to improve student assessment.
Another data collection tool that can be used is interviewing (Phillips & Stawarski, 2016). The researcher can organize for short and structured interviews. The interviews should have a given number of people and the result expected sh.
Adoption of technology on E-learning effectivenessjournalBEEI
The incorporation of E-learning in both private and public tertiary education can help expedite the learning process. The utilization of fast-paced technology with E-learning also allows for a more flexible and convenient learning process. E-learning platforms can be accessed anywhere as long as there is an internet connection, including at home, the workplace, restaurants or while travelling. This allows for the benefit of distance learning. As such, the current study aims to examine the factor effectiveness of E-learning based on three variables, namely technology, instructors’ characteristics and students’ characteristics and their impact on distance learning. The education system has greatly evolved from the use of apparatus such as chalk and blackboards to the modern use of projectors to conduct lessons. In the current age, E-learning will have an effect on both instructors and teaching technology, aside from the students themselves. As an example, students are expected to know how to utilize these systems in their lessons, instructors must receive training in E-learning systems management and in terms of technology, the E-learning systems must be updated and operated using the most recent upgrades. E-learning is also cost-efficient, less time consuming and reduces the burden on both students and educators.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

7. Ascertain the level of acceptance for an eTest Generator
by answering the following research questions:
1. What is the level of perceived usefulness of an eTest
Generator as an eLearning tool?
2. What is the level of perceived ease of use of an eTest
Generator as an eLearning tool?
3. Is there a relationship between perceived usefulness
and perceived ease of use of an eTest Generator as an
eLearning tool?
8. Attitude paradigm of Fishbein and Ajzen:
1. specifies how to measure the behavior-relevant
components of attitudes,
2. distinguishes between beliefs and attitudes, and
3. specifies how external stimuli are causally linked to
beliefs, attitudes, and behavior.
The gap between success in information system (IS)
and its users can be bridged by determining the
users’ level of acceptance prior to the development
and implementation of the IS (Davis, 1993).
9. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) of Fred D. Davis
Prospective user’s overall attitude toward using a given system is

17. Answering the Research Questions:
1. What is the level of perceived usefulness of an eTest Generator as an eLearning tool
among the respondents?
With a high weighted mean of 5.8, the respondents perceived eTest as a useful
eLearning tool for SUCN.
2. What is the level of perceived ease of use of an eTest Generator as an eLearning tool
among the respondents?
With a high weighted mean of 5.2, the respondents perceived eTest Generator
as somewhat easy to use as an eLearning tool for SUCN.
3. Is there a relationship between the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use
of an eTest Generator as an eLearning tool.
Using Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient, with (p-value = 0.0001)
< (α = 0.05), the data provide enough evidence that there is a significant
positive relationship between the two variables – perceived usefulness and
perceived ease of use.
In general, respondents perceived eTest Generator as an acceptable eLearning tool
because it is useful and somewhat easy to use for SUCN.
18.
The TAM of Davis has significantly helped the
researcher ascertained the perception level among
the faculty and administration of Silliman
University’s College of Nursing for the development
of an eTest Generator as eLearning tool for the
department.
19.
Results of the study provided useful insights that
Silliman University’s College of Nursing will accept
and use should eTest Generator be developed and
deployed as an eLearning tool.
20.
Highly recommended to the management of
Silliman University that eTest Generator be
developed and deployed to the College of Nursing
for the use of its faculty and administration as an
eLearning tool.
The use of eTest Generator as an eLearning tool
fosters the realization of Silliman University’s
strategic plan.

Editor's Notes
Fellow eLearning advocates, good afternoon.DAYON SA PILIPINAS, the Visayan native tongue to mean a warm WELCOME TO THE PHILIPPINES. An archipelago with 7,107 islands of which around 2,000 are inhabited resulting into a more diverse and rich Filipino culture with some influences from a number of international origin. These islands are grouped into three clusters namely: LUZON, hosting the seat of the country’s national government called the Malacanan Palace, the VISAYAS, and MINDANAO.
My name is Gereo Alviola Patrimonio, a registered nurse and a Computer Science graduate as well. I am currently working as Information Technology Officer II of the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Norte in Dipolog City and currently pursuing my Masters in Information Systems in Silliman University, Dumaguete City, located at the central VISAYAS of the Philippine archipelago.
So where can you exactly find Silliman? As of April 3, 2012, the Philippines is one of the 56 countries in the Asian continent and located nearly to Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The Negros island, resembling like a stocking, is situated in the central part of the entire Philippine archipelago called the Visayas. The island is further divided into two boundaries, namely Negros Occidental on the western side and Negros Oriental on the eastern side. Dumaguete City, where Silliman University is located, is the capital city of the Oriental Negros.
Because of the dark-skinned inhabitants of the island, Spanish explorers who landed in the island in April 1, 1565 called it negros referring to the natives. It was in January 1, 1890 when the island was divided into the western and eastern side hence Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental respectively. With its seat of provincial government in Dumaguete City as the capital city of the province, today, the provincial capitol stands erect and proud after surviving world war II, super typhoons that hit the area, and of course who could forget the magnitude 6.7 earthquake last February 6, 2012. The Belfry, built in 1760, is an iconic structure of Dumaguete City because of its historical value with its bells that served as warning device for attacks by marauding pirates. The Dumaguete City boulevard is a show window of the serenity of the city with its lustrous more than a hundred years old acacia trees. The iconic portals of Silliman University welcomes people in its Gate of Opportunity. Silliman University was established in 1900 by Dr. Horace B. Silliman, a retired businessman from New York and a Presbyterian philanthropist. The iconic Assembly Hall is a preserved and famous edifice of the university because its major structural design and components were salvaged from the debris of a theatre in New York. Another precious edifice of Silliman is the Luce Auditorium built and inaugurated October 1974. It was designed by the same architect who designed the Cultural Center of the Philippines hence it is labeled as the CCP of the south.
As an ICT practitioner and a graduates student, eLearning is one of the new fields that tickled my fancy for research. And because my capstone (thesis) is on the design and development of an eLearning tool, I’ve decided to conduct a study a study that will gauge the perceptions of my future client/benefactor of my capstone.
The international and local trend in eLearning has greatly influenced the researcher for the conduct of this study. And along this line, SU’s strategic plan for SY-2008-2016 identified eLearning as one of the items to be addressed for strategic positioning. Hence, result of this study may aid management in achieving the university’s objectives
Generally, the study aims to identify the level of acceptance for an eTest Generator by answering the following research questions:What is the level of perceived usefulness of an eTest Generator as an eLearning tool? What is the level of perceived ease of use of an eTest Generator as an eLearning tool?Is there a relationship between perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of an eTest Generator as an eLearning tool?
The study is mainly anchored on Davis’ Technology Acceptance Model of which it has great influence to the Attitude paradigm of Fishbein and Ajzen:specifies how to measure the behavior-relevant components of attitudes, distinguishes between beliefs and attitudes, andspecifies how external stimuli are causally linked to beliefs, attitudes, and behavior.Davis has theorized that the gap between success in information system (IS) and its users can be bridged by determining the users’ level of acceptance prior to the development and implementation of the IS (Davis, 1993).
Fred Davis’ 1st version of Technology Acceptance Model or TAM tackles the inter-relatedness of four constructs: external stimulus, cognitive response, affective response, and behavioral response. His paradigm will capture,Prospective user’s overall attitude toward using a given system is hypothesized to be a major determinant of whether or not he/she actually uses it.Attitude toward using (ATU) is a function to 2 beliefs/cognitive responses:Perceived usefulness (PU)Perceived ease of use (PEU)
I am banking my study on a descriptive-correlative method that uses an adapted survey questionnaire from Davis. And with the research instrument duly filled out by respondents, responses are treated statistically using frequency and percentage to determine demographic distribution among respondents, weighted means for central tendencies of responses and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient to determine relationships of two or more variables in the study. To capture the respondents’ impression using self-assessment scheme, the Likert Scales is used to calibrate the general perception of respondents.
The main respondents of the study are the faculty and management of the Silliman University College of Nursing for SY 2012-2013.50 survey questionnaires were floated in the SUCN last March 15, 2013 and were retrieved on the 22nd. Because the survey period was held during the final exam week, only 26 responded to the survey that resulted to a 56.52% response rate.
The demography of the respondents can be described by the following observation:77% are female while 23% are maleThe department is densely populated with married faculty and admin accounted to 69%, 27% for single and 4% widowed.100% of the respondents have master’s degree100% recycles test questions in major exams – midterms and finalsAnd 92% of them modify when recycling test questions.89% of the respondents do not have experience about an eTest Generator.
