This document discusses the results of a study on using incentives to increase student response rates on online course evaluations. The key findings were: 1) Instructors who offered incentives like extra credit had significantly higher student response rates (79.6% vs 47.3%) compared to those who did not offer incentives. 2) When the same instructors offered incentives in one semester but not in the previous semester, their response rates were also significantly higher when incentives were offered. 3) Without incentives, courses with lower response rates tended to receive lower ratings.
