Pepper Tap, an online grocery delivery app founded by Navneet Singh, is closing its operations due to stiff competition from Grofers and Bigbasket. It had roughly 20,000 daily orders through its inventory-less business model but struggled with glitches integrating its app with partner stores, meaning customers couldn't see full product selections. While it started well by saving customers' time, Pepper Tap will now focus on building a standalone logistics company to compete with delivery startups.
