Digital Forensics ... ???
Computer forensics is a branch of forensic science that
focuses on criminal procedure law and evidence as applied to
computers and related devices.
This branch of forensics is not limited to computers, but also
includes mobile phone forensics, personal digital assistant
(PDA) forensics, and network forensics.
Marie-Helen Maras, PhD, 2015
Digital Forensics Investigation
Computer forensics specialists may be involved in both public
investigations (conducted by law enforcement and
government agencies) and private investigations (conducted
by non-governmental agencies, businesses, and individuals).
Today, investigations for criminal, civil, and administrative
cases are increasingly involving evidence from computer
technologies and related devices.
