education
Who Statistics (Truong, Lecture 1)
 The World Health Organisation has released statistics pertaining to
Physical education:
 Estimate the a lack of physical activity causes 2 million deaths annually.
 Estimate that 22 million children under the age of five are overweight
 Estimate that at least 60% of the global population do not meet the
recommended recommendation of 30 minutes of moderate – intense daily
physical activity.
 Physical activity is declining in schools worldwide.
Physical Activity is Important for
Kids
• Australia's Department of Health Recommends
children need at least 60 minutes of moderate to
vigorous physical activity ever day.
• We’ve got a video linked related to this
• Physical activity does not only provide physical activity
it also help with relaxation, provides kids with
opportunities to make friends and improves self-
esteem (Department of Health).
