The passive voice
The passive voice is used when the event is more
important that who does it and to describe a process.
This packet was brought two days ago
Is normal to find the passive voice without subject.
The agent (by..) is only used when it includes
important information
He was hated by his own brothers.
How is it made?
It is formed with the object, the appropiate tense of
the verb “to be” and the past participle of the verb
that is conjugated.
The most used tense verbs are listed below:

Subject + present “to be” + past participle +by +
subject.
Active Passive
I paint my house My house is painted by me
● Past simple
Subject + past “to be” + past participle +by +
subject.
● Present perfect
Subject + present perfect “to be” + past participle
+by + subject.
