Essay about Avengers Assemble (Loki and Black Widdow

The Avengers Assemble Essay
The Avengers Assemble Film (2012), directed by Joss Whedon, is a superhero film
which is produced by Marvel Studios. The movie follows 7 iconic Marvel characters,
Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Dr Bruce Banner aka Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris
Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black
Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson). All the characters join
together on their mission to save the Earth from the villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
The film is set on a spaceship. The budget for the film was $220,000,000 and managed to
get 1.5 billion box offices. In the essay I will be analysing the scene where Black Widow
Interrogates Loki in the Prison. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though when both characters walk backwards and sit down while having their
conversation, the power is equal between because of their body posture is at an equal
level. The lighting on Widow s face is shadowed while talking about her past, whereas
Loki s face and body is high lit. This shows that he still may have the upper hand.
When he speaks the camera is on him and it is also a long shot which emphasises the
prison he is kept in. Compared to the prison, Loki seems very small and lost whilst in
it. This puts forward that he is actually not as powerful as he makes out to be, it shows
that he is the one really exposed and the lighting all around and on him suggests that
all his true colours are being revealed. Through out this section of the scene, their tones
of voice are calm and equivalent, so it s still uncertain who has the power. When Loki
questions What are you now? Widow stands up and folds her arms, so her posture is
now closed which then directly suggests she now has the power, and is not willing to
reveal anymore about herself. Medium close up shot is used on Loki when he reveals
something he knows about her. Then it switches to Widow on a close up shot on her
face to emphasise her worried and shocked eye contact whilst Loki is speaking about
her secrets. The more he reveals the wider her eyes become to create an impact of fear.
Loki then stands up to show that the power has
Compare And Contrast Xbox Vs Playbox
Play Station is better than Xbox. PlayStation has always been the best selling console.
Even the original ps1 sold more the Xbox one ever did. All 4 PlayStations are ranked in
the top 10 most sold consoles of all time. The ps2 was even the most sold console of all
time with 158 million sales.
Another reason that PlayStation is better is that it has better graphics. The ps1,2,and 3 all
had better graphics than the Xbox and Xbox 360. The ps4 and ps4 pro both play in 5.0
GHz while the Xbox one plays in 2.1. The ps4 also has the 4k VR headset that plays in
120Hz. The Xbox one had to have 4 different models to have better graphics than the ps4.
PlayStation has more sales so that means more people to play online with or the more
My Lifetime Dream And Internship At Vanity Fair
My lifetime dream, goal, and aspiration all achieved by the age of 22. Today I start my
internship at Vanity Fair. I stand cowardly outside the tall building complex. I am
afraid, yet confident, uneasy but excited. A mix of feelings swarm my mind. I suck it
all up and walk in with my head held up high. I stride towards the receptionist desk. I
casually make my way to the orientation room. All in an attempt of making myself look
confident but in the inside, I am scared. Scared of making myself look like a fool in
front of my new co workers. I take a deep breath and slowly turn the doorknob. I peer
into the room and there sitting at a round table three women and a man. I recognize
the women sitting front and center, that s the girl who interviewed me. Her name is
Ash...Aman... Ava! Yes, yes Ava is her name. Myesia, welcome to the Vanity Fair
orientation. I ll be informing you today. Oh, and here we have Luka, Brenda, and
Laila! These three are your fellow interns, you should get to know as you three will be
working side by side for the next two months. Ava exclaims cheerfully. Thank you,
Ava, I am also thrilled to be here, thank for this amazing opportunity! Hello, Luka
Brenda, and Laila I m excited for what the future holds for us three. I respond eagerly.
Exciting is one way to put it. I was silly and naive. Little did I know this was going to be
the most troubling and absurd two months of my life. The future holds much more than I

Breast Augmentation Procedure Essay
How to Prepare for Your Breast Augmentation Procedure
When you meet with Dr. Tal Roudner for your initial consultation at his office near
Miami, he will ask what characteristics you would like your breasts to have;
characteristics like the size, feel and the overall appearance of your breasts. The
characteristics you choose will help Dr. Roudner determine which type of breast implant
and breast augmentation surgical technique will give you the results you desire.

Familial Mediterranean Fever
Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is an autosomal recessive disorder, characterized
by recurrent and self limited episodes of fever, abdominal pain, synovitis and pleuritis,
lasting 1 3 days (Shohat and Halpern, 2011). Most of the patients are men and the
mean age is 10; in about 65% of the cases experience their first symptoms before the
age of 10 years old and 90%, before reaching the age of 20 years (Onen, 2006). Amyloid
A (AA) amyloidosis remains as the main long term complication with a severe
manifestation and poor prognosis. Amyloidosis of the AA type commonly occurs among
untreated patients with more than 15 years old, even among those who do not have a
history of recurrent inflammatory attacks (Shohat and Halpern, 2011). Colchicinetherapy,

The mutated gene in patients with FMF is the MEditerranean Fever (MEFV), has been
mapped on chromosome 16p13.3, consists 10 exons and encodes 781 amino acids that
encodes pyrin, a regulatory protein of inflammasome. Muta¬tions in MEFV are
associated with excess inflammation through increased IL 1ОІ production (Yang et al.,
2014). Since the cloning of the MEFV gene, about 304 sequence variants have been
reported that 167 of these variations have been associated with FMF (online at http:/

M694V, V726A, M680I, M694I on exon 10 and the E148Q on exon 2 are the most
common mutations and comprise 85% of all mutations in the countries where FMF is
prevalent (Simon and van der Meer, 2007). Iranian population define by various ethnic
groups: Persian, Azeri Turks, Arabs, Kurdish. Almost all the previous studies in Iran

The Octopus
At the turn of the century, American readers were interested only in stories with happy
endings, where goodness was praised and evil was punished. They did not particularly
care if that was a false interpretation of the way life really was. When men such as Frank
Norris, the author of The Octopus, wrote angrily of the injustices and povertyto be found
in America, readers turned away. The Octopus made them change their minds. The
course of the novel and the reality of its characters held the readers attention. It is so
powerful a book that people had to care about the wheat growers, almost against their
wishes.
The impact did not end in the early twentieth century, but continues its legacy into the
new millenium. The Octopus, depicts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their solution to the crisis was to keep magnifying it, until it ruined the farmers. Once
the railroad raised the price for the land, the farmers could not afford to buy. They
proceeded to create dummy buyers, fictitious settlers who they created to come in and
buy the land. Soon after Delany, a ranch worker was fired, the railroad used him to act
as a dummy buyer and buy the land.
There was no way Delany could actually afforded to buy the land on his own; he was
obviously acting as the railroad s pawn, sent to aggravate the ranchers who leased
farms from the railroad. The railroad also tampered with other types of characters in
the story. Dyke was fired from his job at the railroad after he refused to work for the
rates of a man doing half the work he was doing. Then after Dyke mortgaged his land
to the railroad, they raised the rates on the crop he was producing. They drove him to
poverty and when he tried to take back what they had stolen from him by robbing money
from one of their trains, they had him thrown in jail for life.
This is another example of how Norris evinces the railroads unethical treatment of the
common man in California at the time.Shelgrim, the executive of the P. and S.W. tried
to justify the railroad s actions, and in a way, pass on the responsibility, by calling the
railroad a force, something that he had no control over. In the novel, he compared this
force to the way that wheat was

The Gospel According To Matthew
The beginning of the book of The Gospel According to Matthew , describes the first
early stages of Jesus and his ancestry s. Jesus is the child of Mary and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was born with a mission. The mission of baby Jesus as he grew older was to save
his people from their sins. Once he was born, King Herod had heard a rumor that baby
Jesuswould be the king of the Jewish people. Baby Jesus s existence frightened King
Herod. As Jesus grew older the more enemies he accumulated and there were more
people that were frightened by his power. Many readers believe that the more powerful
Jesus was, the more arrogant he was. However, there is a possibility that Jesus was
compassionate and humble towards his people. There are many artists that show how
Jesus is compassionate and humble, and there are other artists that... Show more content

The Pharisees disliked Jesus. Pharisees disliked Jesus because they felt that Jesus
threatened their security and prestige. The painting Healing of the Blind Man by Carl
Block made in 1871, relates how Jesus is compassionate about his people. In the
painting you see how Jesus is curing a blind man. You could tell that Jesus is humble
by the way he is dressed. You could also see that the people love him by the way they
are looking at him. The old man in the right side of the Jesus looks like he is praying.
The blind man is also holding Jesus s arm. This also shows that Jesus is humble
because he lets anybody of any social class touch him. This paining also relates to a
scene that takes place in the book. Matthew said,
As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, crying loudly, Have mercy
on us, son of David! when he entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus
said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? they said to him, Yes, Lord. Then

ABSTRACT
In the present work, PVA Ag nanocomposite films with thickness 0.18 mm, constant
silver content (0.4 wt. %) and with different time of reaction (0.1, 3, 5, 7, 9 h) were
prepared by chemical reduction method. Structure, surface topology, photoluminescence
and electrical properties of PVA Ag nanocomposite were studied using x ray diffraction
(XRD), electrometer, atomic force microscope (AFM) and photoluminescence (PL)
spectroscopy were used to characterize the prepared nanocomposites. X ray patterns
showed the existence of Ag nanoparticles within the PVA polymeric matrix with face
centered cube (FCC) phase. It was found that the PL intensity for all samples increases,
while the root mean square (rms) roughness decreases as the time of reaction is
increased. Current voltage characteristics were analyzed to explore carrier transport
mechanisms in Ag PVA nanocomposite and the results showed that there is an
improvement in the electrical conductivity of the PVA Ag films and Frank poole
emission is the prevailing transport mechanism for all samples.

Railroad Industrialization
On the business side of this the overhead was huge to start this railroad. with no other
project this large being done they had the slightest of idea what was in store for them.
They were one week into the project already hitting their budget to build the railroad, and
they only had 50 miles of railroad out... How were they to get these transcontinental
railroads threw the country as it was so much more expensive for them than expected.
Industrialization was large for they now had a larger population that was rapidly
growing, people were wanting to get to california, have new black leather shoes, and be
able to go to a local butcher shop and get meat because they would not have to raise their

The great strike of 1877 was a large strike to fuel the fire. Railroad workers were tired of
working long treacherous days, well getting their wages cut, and the working
environments were not safe to be working in. Before The Great Strike of 1877 a group

with working environments, low wages, and they felt pressure in the new economic
Breastfeeding Vs Breast Feeding Essay
There are many difficult choices new mothers face in the world whether it s pre birth or
post birth. Mothers tend to struggle with choosing the way they want to feed their
newborn baby. The biggest discussion is whether or not to breastfeed your newborn or
formula feed. Formula feeding feeds the infantwhile also providing needed nutrition.
Breastfeedinghelps create a bond between mother and child, has multiple health benefits
as well as providing the best nutrition for children; therefore, I believe it is better for the
mother and child.
Bonding is quite important while raising children, and beneficial to the child altogether.
A baby who breastfeeds also has a special opportunity to bond with his or her mother
(Hubbard, J. M., Gattman, K. R., 2017, p. 90). Breastfeeding allows you to have more
skin to skin contact, which many nurses recommend within the first year of life. ..it is
also recommended during the postpartum period (Hubbard, J. M., Gattman, K. R., 2017,
p. 89). The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that infants be
breastfed until at least age 1 year... (Hurst, A. M., 2016, paragraph 1).... Show more

The benefits for mothers who breastfeed include but are not limited to reduced risks for
breast and ovarian cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease (Hubbard,
J. M., Gattman, K. R., 2017, p. 90). Antibodies from the mother are passed on through
breastmilk as well which helps the infant s system fight off colds for example. These
antibodies will help your infant conquer the cold germs quickly and effectively (New

Immigration Act Of 1924 Dbq Essay
Since the beginning of times up until present time the United States Congress has always
passed laws to limit immigrants rights. Immigrants who came to America for a better life
have gone through many struggles due to the restrictions against them. Precedently, with
the Chinese Exclusion Act, which prohibited Chinese immigrants to enter the United
States. Another act was the Gentlemen s Agreement Act between Japan and America,
where Japan agreed to limit immigration, only if President Theodore Roosevelt agreed to
limit restrictions on Japanese immigrants. Then in 1924, Congress passed the
Immigration Act of 1924. The act limited the number of aliens that are allowed in the
U.S. Congress passed this act because they felt that immigrant threaten America s old
ways. Congress wanted American to be pure again, by doing so, they had to get rid of
many immigrants. The factors that led to Congress to pass the Immigration Act were to
maintain American traditions, maintain jobs for American citizens, and repair the income.

Rochester s by setting his bed on fire, readers will immediately think that she is evil
for doing something so terrible. There is no justification for why she attacked Mr.
Rochester, but instead it seems right to have her locked up in the attic so that she does
not pose any danger to others. However, Rhys provided a reason for Bertha s attack on
Mr. Rochester. It started out with Mr. Rochester ignoring her and cheating on her
during their honeymoon. Then when Mr. Rochester brings her back to England, she
is locked away in a room, and Mr. Rochester never visited her. Since she has the disease
of becoming mad, Mr. Rochester s treatment just accelerated the development of her
madness. Even a normal person will become mad if they are locked away in a small
room for a long period of time. Given this view, it seems rather rational for Bertha to
set Mr. Rochester s bed on fire, because that is her way of fighting back her oppressor.
By showing the conflicts that occurred betweein Mr. Rochester and Bertha, Rhys lets the
readers see that Bertha attacks Mr. Rochester, because she wants to get rid of him so that
she could be free again. This shows that she is not simply a lunatic that goes around

Cyber Security And The Future Of National Security
MEMO
TO:PROF. GABRIEL MARGOLIS
FROM:TOBIAS BATTS
SUBJECT:CYBER SECURITY AND THE FUTURE OF NATIONAL SECURITY
DATE:4/4/2016
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This memorandum is written to reveal the vulnerabilities of the current state of the
United States cyber security. It will also specify policy options that can be taken in order
to improve the current policy. Cyber security focuses on protecting computers, networks,
databases, and programs from unauthorized access or change. Changes need to be made
in cyber security as soon as possible if the United States wants to be secure.
Informational technology is difficult to secure because of many different factors: the
attacks do not have to occur at the location of the attack, so they can happen from
anywhere worldwide, there is little co operation between existing cyber security
groups, and it is difficult to find vulnerabilities and patch them before an attack. One
pressing matter in cyber security now is infrastructure, such as power plants, which
runs on old technology that is susceptible to complex attacks by hackers. Many actors,
including government, individual groups, and businesses all spend time dealing with,
or paying for a lack of, cyber security. A safer way to deal with these problems would
be to co operate, as these attacks could cause harm or disrupt businesses. In the worst
case scenario, millions of dollars worth of information could be stolen or destroyed.
These problems highlight the critical need for an improved
The Plains Indian
The term Plains Indian refers to a group of indigenous people who lived on the interior
plains of both Midwest America and the southern Canada. Their culture was traditionally
nomadic as they survived by hunting and gathering, and often followed the migration of
the American Bison. The Bison provided them with their main resource as they used its
hide, bones, fat, and fur to make clothing, housing, and tools. Teepees were their
traditional form of housing because they were easily constructed and then dismantled to
fit the Plains Indian s transient lifestyle (Roth, 1923). Several other unique aspects of
their lifestyle have become a part of the stereotypical American Indian depicted in film
and literature such as their reliance on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The men mainly wore leggings and short pants made out of animal skin and during the
winter seasons they wore thick hide robes. It was difficult to obtain enough hide to
clothe an entire village so some members had very little clothing at all and almost no one
had more than one set of clothing (Carlson, 1998). This scarcity caused Plains Indians to
reduce the use of their clothing by going naked in the warmer seasons in hopes of
prolonging its use (Kaye, 1987). Most women wore dresses made out of lighter weight
deerskin, sometimes with thin pants made out of deerskin or buffalo hide. Women spun
and wove fibers made from flax and other wheat to make the inside of theses hides
softer (Carlson, 1998). The act of adorning personal items with dyed porcupine quills is
an ancient Native American art form predominantly used by the Plains Indian tribes
before the introduction of glass beads. This method of decoration has long been a part of
Plains Indian culture as archaeologists have discovered quill working tools dating back to
the 6th century (Neuman, 1960). Quill work is entirely unique to the Subarctic, Plains,
and Northeastern Woodlands of North America (Roth, 1923).These areas encapsulate the
porcupine s natural habitat which reveals the ability of Plains Indians to utilize the
resources around them for means of production beyond survival. This adaptation is

The History and Factors Leading to Copernican Revolution
As humans we will always be challenged in our daily lives. When we have a view on
something we may have to fight to prove its validity. Some of us may be able to do it
on our own but many of us will need a helping hand. Nicolaus Copernicus was this type
of man. He developed a theory of a sun centered or heliocentric solar system that went
against the current popular belief of an earth centered or geocentric solar system. It took
many centuries for the world to accept his theory. Kepler, Galileo and Newton were
strong proponents to the Copernican model and continued to advance his research where
they later proved that a heliocentric solar system was a correct model. Although
Copernicus views suffered great backlash, he became the prime... Show more content on

Tycho Brahe was able to calculate the most accurate measurements available to the naked
eye of planetary motions. Even though they were the most accurate to date, he was still
off by eight arc minutes. An arc minute is one sixtieth of a degree.
Inspired by Brahe s inaccurate measurements, mathematician Johannes Kepler of
Germany tried to continue working with Brahe s calculations but the 8 arc minute
flaw encouraged him keep searching. Kepler was a strong believer in the Copernican
model. He was not convinced though of the circular path. After much research Kepler
proposed an elliptical orbit. Using Brahe s extensive notes he was able to conclude that
an elliptical orbit was in fact correct. Using this he was able to develop the Three Laws
of Planetary motions: The first law states the orbit of every planet is an ellipse with the
sun at one of its focal points; the second states that line joining the sun and a planet
sweeps out at equal areas at every point on its orbit; and the third equates the time it
takes a planet to orbit the sun and the distance from the sun to the planet. These three
laws are still commonly used today.
With the use of the telescope Galileo was able to provide pivotal evidence for the
Copernican Revolution in the early 1600s. Galileo was the first person to use the
telescope for astronomy. He was able discover that the sun rotated on an axis by

American Cinema And Its Effect On The Middle Class
During the early 1900s motion pictures became popularized as an escapist entertainment
medium that began transforming kinetoscope parlors, lecture halls, and storefronts into
what became known as nickelodeons. Thanks to vaudevilles and their popularity, films
were already known to have a vast audience and to be a new form of business with
possible great success. These pioneer movie theaters had an affordable entry fee that
expanded movie viewing to the middle class, not only increasing the popularity of motion
pictures but also simultaneously increasing the demand of their production (Dirks). With
nickelodeons golden age beginning in 1905 and lasting for about nine years they vastly
modified the landscape of the American cinema by not... Show more content on

In addition to that, the fact that only a projectionist was needed to operate the act, it
allowed for flexibility as to where on the vaudeville bill it could be placed. During the
beginning of its introduction to the vaudeville bill, motion pictures were a major
headlining act that would help vaudevilles, capture an audience. But as the novelty
wore off it became the closing act for many vaudevilles and no longer the headliner.
None the less, vaudevilles helped the concept of motion pictures to be introduced to
the middle class while also allowing businessmen and others with economic interests
to see the mass financial appeal that films could bring about ( American Variety Stage
). Tally s Electric Theater built in 1902 in the city of Los Angeles was actually the first
structure that was entirely focused on just showing motion pictures, but it did not
cause a large domino effect like nickelodeons did. As the popularity of movies
continued to rise regardless of its placement in the vaudeville bill they proved to several
business owners and entrepreneurs that movies were in fact a lucrative business ( From
Nickelodeon to Picture Palaces. ). June 19, 1905 was a historical year for the path that
the American motion picture industry was going to take. It was the day that a vaudeville
entrepreneur named Harry Davis, and his partner, John P. Harris opened a theater in
Pittsburgh that was going to have one sole economic business focus, which included only

The generation which sustained democracy through and after the Second World War is
dying, and the baby boom that followed is passing into old age (Youniss 99). An older
generation can ignore addressing the issues of climate change, social security, and lack
of cooperation among elected officials, but today s children and youth have to deal with
the consequences (98). A democratic society should worry because we are not preparing
youth to engage in politics and community affairs (Syvertsen et al 593). A new electorate
unwilling to act will allow these problems to continue unattended and to worsen. A

These challenges demand a coherent response, forcing people to think better.
Public discussion is a key part of the deliberative arts, which teach students how to
identify and develop a plan to solve a problem. The first art is framing, in which the
group identifies all potential options for achieving a goal. The next art is democratic
deliberation, where students discuss each option and judge it in relation to the group s
goal. The next is working together for mutual goals, wherein each member has to resist
the urge to solve the problem on their own. Students must also learn how to work
together over an extended time, and how to evaluate their own goals, actions, and results
(Fleming 43 44).
A high school business teacher in Howard, South Carolina used these practices together
to show his students how to affect change. He obtained a grant from a local university to
study the community s cash flow. He took the problem to his students, who then
conducted meetings with local business owners, consulted with county auditor, and
surveyed community members. From the data they found that people were spending
money in larger cities some distance away. The class published the results, and local
residents read the study and responded by buying more locally. Annual taxes exceeded
projections, and the auditor estimated that taxes infused six to seven million dollars into
the local economy. This project
William Mckinley, A Influential Leader For Making The...
William McKinley, creditable for being a prominent leader for making the United States
a better place and changing the life for American people. He is noted for his success in
moving the country forward through the tariffs that he had put in place, the
establishment of the gold standard, the victory of the Spanish American war, and
importance of foreign policy.
William McKinley was born in Niles, Ohio with his dad, William Sr. McKinley, his
mom, Nancy McKinley, and 7 siblings. William was enrolled in the Poland Academy. He
attended Allegheny College, but didn t complete because of financial issues. A good
student, though not a brilliant one, he succeeded by dint of hard work and exceptional

Once he had assumed the responsibilities of office, McKinley immediately turned his
attention to measures for assuring economic recovery and called a special session of
Congress in order to raise customs duties, an effort he believed would reduce other taxes
and encourage the growth of domestic industry and employment for American workers.
From his position he managed to maneuver the passage was the Dingley Tariff Act which
he concentrated his energies on.
It is the highest protective tariff in American history. McKinley s support for the Dingley
Tariff strengthened his position with organized labor, lower rates, was the greatest
source of income, and opened up the idea of reciprocity. Deferring action on the money
question, he called Congress into special session to enact the highest tariff in history. The
tariff was, in his view, a key measure for achieving national order and tranquility to
eliminate the corruption, such as, trusts and monopolies, going on in that time period.
This has helped him undergone considerable revision for his reputation as a president due
to the improvement he has caused.
The Sherman Silver Purchase Act, passed the same year as McKinley s tariff
legislation, had been inadequate to meet the demand for better prices or for an increase
in the stock of money. Once again the segments of society that stood to gain from higher
prices, especially the farmers of the West
Narcissism And Social Networking Web Sites
The article I chose for this critique was Narcissism and Social Networking Web Sites
written by Laura E. Buffardi and W. Keith Campbell from the University of Georgia.
This article is based on an experiment that was taken place to prove whether others
could perceive a narcissistic individual as a narcissist through observing their social
media sites. This experiment was a correlational type of study. The experimenters goal
was to analyze whether there was any correlation or connection between the web page
owner being a narcissist and the type of content they had on their profile. With this type
of study, the variables are not as familiar as they might be when it comes to other
experiments. The independent variable, or as referenced in this article, the predictor
variable, was the web pages owners measured narcissism. Since the experimenter doesn t
necessarily manipulate this variable, it is known as the predictor variable instead. The
dependent variable was the narcissistic impressions of the raters, or observers of the web
pages. There was an extra variable in this experiment known as the proposed mediator. A
proposed mediator is a model used to identify and explain the procedures that root from
the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. In this case, the
proposed mediators were the quantity of social interaction, main photo attractiveness,
main photo sexiness, and main photo self promotion. The method of this experiment was

Spinal Health
Michael Perry, an expert on spinal health, asserted that an anti inflammatory diet is
important to tackle back pain. We propose cooking demonstrations to promote awareness
and urgency on spinal health with the introduction of BackFood , food that are proven to
reduce back pain (Figure 25). These cooking demonstrations will guide the students to the
path of better spinal healthand simultaneously promote the importance of spinal health.
The students will be introduced via cooking demonstrations where dishes can be
sampled, enhancing audience involvement thus effectively convey our message of an
ideal diet. Cooking demonstrations are able to engage a wider demographic, from
children to the elderly while also appealing to cooking enthusiasts... Show more content

This is inspired by Indiana University s successful flashmob to encourage healthy
posture (Figure 27).As Spinal Health Awareness Week is an annual event, there is a
need to constantly monitor its effectiveness and assess it against our outcome. To
ensure our campaign s durability, a different theme is tailored annually to tackle a
different aspect of the problem (Figure 28).Collaboration with stakeholders such as
HPB could also further enrich our campaign as they have conducted successful
campaigns before such as the I Quit campaign. As a short term measure to expand the
reach of our campaign both online and offline sphere, a gesture led movement,
involving the use of simple hand sign to remind people to straighten their backs would
be effective as gestures make people pay attention to the acoustics of speech. This is
asserted by Spencer Kelly, associate professor of Psychology and co director of the
Center for Language and Brain at Colgate University. As the message is being sealed
with a simple gesture, it is straightforward and effective. In terms of feasibility and
manageability, there is no major concern as hand signs have been used to help raise
awareness in campaigns such as
Baseball Of The Baseball Rule
INTRODUCTION
Baseball ballpark owners owe a duty of care to spectators who attend games their
stadiums. Historically, there has been a devotion to the baseball rule , which is
essentially a tool of public policy used to protect stadium owners. However, there is
very little consensus on what exactly the rule entails and how it is applied across all
jurisdictions. While this rule is justified based on a limited amount of data, Gallatin
legislature should either reshape it to better reflect modern tort doctrine or continue
operating on a case by case basis, taking all facts and situation based evidence into
account.
BASEBALL RULE
The Baseball Rule has been widely adopted by courts in jurisdiction considering the
legal duty of landowners owed to spectators at baseball games. The Baseball Rule has
two main components: the owner must screen the most dangerous section of the field
(typically the area behind the Homeplate) and the screening provided must be adequate
to provide covering for as many spectators who desire protected seats. Spectators that
willingly choose to watch the game in unscreened areas assume the open and obvious
risk of being struck by a ball. With the Baseball Rule clearly limiting the landowner s
legal duty, ballpark owners avoid potential lawsuits for every ball that strikes a spectator.
Without the Baseball Rule, under general principles of landowner liability for
negligence, spectator injuries are considered on a case by case basis upon criteria
Gender In Jane Eyre
Bildungsroman is a novel genre that follows the path to maturity of a character, focusing
on the changes and experiences that shape this character as they move from youth to
adolescence. The plot of Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte BrontГ«, is one such example of
a Bildungsroman. The growth of the main character, Jane Eyre, begins from her tragic
childhood and leads up to her becoming the mistress of Mr. Rochester. Along this
journey, Jane faces various difficulties and confronts many challenges that shape her
personality and lead to the construction of the person we see at the end of the novel.
Gender is a topic regularly highlighted as a key component of the novel, in particular
gender roles and who does or does not want to be defined by their... Show more content

Rochester is the only man that Jane is able to meet as an equal in the novel, albeit only
after receiving her inheritance and her refusal to be Rochester s mistress. Although their
social status and backgrounds are different, Jane s presence in Thornfield seems to
invigorate Rochester. Rochester is also important to Jane, as he provides her with the
sense of family and love that she has never experienced until now. It could be argued
that Rochester is presented as superior to Jane, both intellectually and in terms of his
knowledge of the world, but the revelation of his marriage to Bertha Mason
demonstrates that in this relationship, it is Jane that possesses the moral and ethical
superiority. Jane rejects Rochester s marriage proposal after she discovers his marital
status to Bertha, not only because she feels it would be against the law and her
religion, but possibly due to her fear that Rochester will end up imprisoning her
through marriage, despite his best intentions, just as Rochester has imprisoned Bertha
in Thornfield. I am not talking to you now through the medium of custom,
conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh: it is my spirit that addresses your spirit;
just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God s feet, equal as we
are! It is ironic that when Jane finally does agree to marry Rochester, he has been left
blind following a fire at Thornfield started by Bertha. Rochester is now suddenly
dependent on Jane,
Analysis Of The Book The Great Commission

EVAN 525 B08: Contemporary Evangelism
May 29, 2016
Abstract
The question may be asked, what is the essence of being a Great Commission
Worshipper? David Wheeler and Vernon Whaley provides subtle element of what the
significance is to being a Great Commission Worshipper a man absolutely and similarly
dedicated to evangelism and worship and an otherworldly procedure that is formational,
transformational, social, missional, and reproducible. The postulation/thesis of the book
is outlined in section two when the writers doubtlessly express
A Great Commission worshipper is a person who is so much in love with Jesus, so
committed to worship of Jesus, and so devoted to being obedient to every command
of Jesus that he simply cannot restrain himself from telling others about his incredible
relationship with the Son of God. 1 In The Great Commission to Worship: Biblical
Principles for Worship Based Evangelism the writers join evangelism and love as
profound orders that the Christian devotee must follow up on out of acquiescence for
God. They state at an early stage that worship is not an event or something we do for
God. Rather it is an act of unbridled obedience even when rational explanations are hard
to find. 2
Wheeler and Whaley give regular confusions of evangelism and worship, giving a brief
reaction for each. They then give a scriptural model of an evangelism venerate
Offshore Drilling
Offshore Drilling Does anything out weigh the importance of our planet s health? You
would be surprised by the number of people who look the other way when it comes to
keeping the planet clean. Offshore drilling is just one of the major environmental
issues that has existed for many years and still continues to be a problem. The topic of
offshore drilling not only touches on environmental issues but also political, economic,
and ethical issues. All of these tie into the huge debate over offshore drilling and its
impacts on the environment. But when the human race depends on oil, how can we
ignore the fact of drilling for oil off the coast of our land. Investing in greenhouse
energy is just one of several ways to help keep the... Show more content on

Still people make the argument that oil is just too important to stop drilling and that if
anything we should drill more. Again author Margaret Haerens talks about how
According to the nation academy of Sciences, current cleanup methods can only
remove a small fraction of the oil spilled into the ocean, leaving the remaining oil to
continue affecting ocean ecosystems over time (126). The long term impacts of
offshore spills continue to corrupt the oceans and who knows when they will
completely be gone. The effects of the oil directly on sea life such as sea birds, fish,
shellfish, and other sea life are extremely dangers. Studies have shown that tiny
amounts of oil as little as one part per billion can harm pink salmon and cause their
eggs to fail (Haerens Margaret). Imagine swimming in the ocean when a large pool of
toxic oils comes floating along right into you when you are trying to enjoy a day at the
beach. Not only is offshore drilling have one of the longest lasting ecological impacts
on society and living things on and off shore, it effects our economy as well. But is
offshore drilling hurting the economy more than it is helping? At this point in my
research is was pretty clear that it was. Author Margaret Haerens, goes to great detail
concerning the price of oil and its effects of drilling more of it by saying Oil spills exact
a serious toll on costal economies, including our approximately 35 billion commercial
The Area Of Interest, Livestock, Grazing, And Urban And...
Introduction
The area of interest is located in the San Joaquin Valley, California, primarily in the
western part of Fresno County, California. The primary land uses in the region are
irrigated cropland, livestock, grazing, and urban and home development (USDA
2015). Other land uses include recreation and wildlife habitats. The land survey of the
region consists of series of straight lines delineating fields of crops, typically running
north to south. A series of squares dominates the aerial view of the region. The region
experiences hot and dry summers with an average July high of 92В°F and has
historically experienced cool and rainy winters with an average January low of 38В°F
which normally lasts between November and April. However, ... Show more content on

The rest of the area contains natural areas (trees shrubs) with 15.9% (1,928.1 acres) and
water with 0.6% (73.7 acres). In 2014, the gross value of Fresno County agriculture
production exceeded seven billion dollars. Almonds was the number one crop at a value
of $1.3 billion and grapes was a close second at $905 million (County of Fresno,
Department of Agriculture 2015). Other important crops include poultry ($654 million),
milk ($636 million), tomatoes ($524 million), pistachios ($378 million), garlic ($202
million), and cotton ($135 million).
The diversity, high total acreage and crop yield are the result of favorable factors; the
Mediterranean climate, long growing seasons, productive soils, and readily available and
plentiful irrigation. Agricultural operations in the area have significant and permanent
impact on the properties and management of the soils in the study area. Farming
practices such as land leveling and irrigation impacts surface soils and deeper soil
profiles due to the percolation of irrigation water. The current drought afflicting the
region has increased the number of fallow acres steadily because of the relative
unreliability of the water supply. The lack of surface water availability has forced
farmers to turn more to groundwater to irrigate their crops. The pumping of water from
deep wells and increased consumption of ground water contributes to ground subsidence
which in turn, affects the geomorphology of the
How Has Technology Helped Communication In The 20th
Century
Communication is a major concern back in the old ages, letter was the commonly used
medium of it until telegraph was invented in 1792, and this allowed messages to be
delivered over a great distance. In the late 1800s the radio and the telephone both
improved the means of communication, it brought communication to a higher level.
Technology began to change tremendously in the 20th century. With the first
supercomputer in 1940s, professionals began to experiment ways to bridge networks
within these computers and this leads us to the bloom of the InternetAge. In 1969
CompuServe ignited the Internet age, it was one of the first the commercial Internet
Providers in the United States. They used the dial up connection to connect to the web.

The Ethical Implications Of The Teaching Design
Once the curricular content is established, I, as the pastor, will offer direct instruction
with the intentions of the learner fully comprehending the implications of the sacrament
of baptism in their own ministry, including the ethical ramifications of bearing witness to
God s continuing salvation through baptism. The ultimate purpose of the teaching design
is for the learners to become the teachers.
Most RCA congregants are paedobaptized and grow up understanding the priority of
baptism. An RCA pastor should establish the historic Reformed understanding of God s
covenant. According to Genesis 17:7, I will establish my covenant between me and you,
and your offspring after you throughout their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to
be God to you and to your offspring after you. God made a covenant with Abraham
which extended corporately to all of Israel. Israel was expected to follow God, love
others, keep the Law, and proselytize Gentiles to maintain covenantal status. Although
God promised not to break God s covenant, there were still expectations for Israel and
when Israel did not meet these expectations, God punished the nation. Additionally, God
s covenantal call was intended to start with Israel, but branch out to the rest of the world.
Jesus comes as the second Adam to fulfill this expectation and includes both Gentile and
Jew into the covenant. All are now one in Christ according to Galatians 3:27 28. How
does baptism play into this covenant? Brownson
The Importance Of Liberal Arts In Business Education
Over the years, schools of business education had not seen the need to incorporate liberal
arts into their programs. In the past, employment rates for liberal arts majors had been
generally low, which caused the school of business to turn away from the major and not
want anything to do with it. According to a study conducted at Georgetown University,
liberal artsmajors were found to have one of the top unemployment rates at 8.4%
(Dumbauld, 2016). They have not provided great job opportunities and have left their
students paying off large amounts of debt with not a lot of money coming in to pay them.
Businessonce viewed liberal arts as a waste of time, since only certain subjects were
being taught. During the 1970s and 1980s, many colleges began to shift from liberal arts
to professional educationin order to meet students demands and maintain enrollment
(Delucchi, 2009, p. 175). With this new restructuring of more business majors being
added to the undergraduate curriculum, a demand driven response had risen to changed
student interests (Delucchi, 2009, p. 175). Business has become such a popular major
because it is needed in so many fields and assures graduates with a stable career path.
Liberal arts colleges cannot guarantee this same promise due to claims of not having a
distinctive educational identity and a clear social and political class. Only certain
institutions have been able to support specific liberal arts graduates with high standing
positions in the

displays let the visitors see how American Indians once lived and what it must have been
like. These realistic representations of villages, huts, homes of Indians may not have
contained real materials from native cultures; they contained artifacts made by non
Indians to represent the Indian lifestyle. By using replicas, this paints the displays as a
theory, thus creating another discrepancy in how native cultures were represented in the
past. With replica artifacts used, unrealistic mannequins, voice, and video recordings
depict the cultures as a scene out of a movie, frozen in time, and a fantasy. In its history,
dioramas have fallen short in representing the actual history and present life of a native

Native American culture, in 1910 one art museum in Brooklyn presented Native
American cultures as serious art. It was the start of a different way to look at and present

museum were organized based on their function and used very descriptive labels,

The Teachings Of The Gospel
Culture is the behavior and beliefs as well as characteristics of a particular social,
ethnic, or age group.(Dictionary.com) The gospel, in sum is the teachings of Christ and
the record of his life found in the first four books of the new testament. An age long
struggle, since the Gospel message began to spread has been the issue of evangelizing to
various cultures and presenting the Gospelin a way relevant to the people. This is the
struggle that many missionaries face who work in the fields amongst various indigenous
and foreign cultures that carry practices that are strictly against the Gospel. In
proclaiming the Gospel, missionaries should respond to the individual elements of other
cultures in various ways. Condemnation of CultureMissionaries must require the local
people to separate from practices which are prohibited in Scripture such as idolatry,
cannibalism, and so forth. Toleration of Culture Missionaries will also teach against
certain practices which violate Christian ideals, although temporarily tolerate them while
waiting for the development of a more sensitive conscience on the part of the local
people, such as slavery or scarification of the body (when done for
ornamentation).Conversion of Culture Missionaries may retain certain local patterns and
practices while giving them a new content, meaning or purpose introducing functional
substitutes in order to avoid creating a cultural vacuum in the lives of the believers and
churches for example, using

Essay about Avengers Assemble (Loki and Black Widdow Jennifer Reed The Avengers Assemble Essay The Avengers Assemble Film (2012), directed by Joss Whedon, is a superhero film which is produced by Marvel Studios. The movie follows 7 iconic Marvel characters, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Dr Bruce Banner aka Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson). All the characters join together on their mission to save the Earth from the villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston). The film is set on a spaceship. Though when both characters walk backwards and sit down while having their conversation, the power is equal between because of their body posture is at an equal level. The lighting on Widow s face is shadowed while talking about her past, whereas Loki s face and body is high lit. This shows that he still may have the upper hand. When he speaks the camera is on him and it is also a long shot which emphasises the prison he is kept in. Compared to the prison, Loki seems very small and lost whilst in it. This puts forward that he is actually not as powerful as he makes out to be, it shows that he is the one really exposed and the lighting all around and on him suggests that all his true colours are being revealed. Through out this section of the scene, their tones of voice are calm and equivalent, so it s still uncertain who has the power. When Loki questions What are you now? Widow stands up and folds her arms, so her posture is now closed which then directly suggests she now has the power, and is not willing to reveal anymore about herself. Medium close up shot is used on Loki when he reveals something he knows about her. Then it switches to Widow on a close up shot on her face to emphasise her worried and shocked eye contact whilst Loki is speaking about her secrets. The more he reveals the wider her eyes become to create an impact of fear. Loki then stands up to show that the power has

All 4 PlayStations are ranked in the top 10 most sold consoles of all time. The ps2 was even the most sold console of all time with 158 million sales. Another reason that PlayStation is better is that it has better graphics. The ps1,2,and 3 all had better graphics than the Xbox and Xbox 360. The ps4 and ps4 pro both play in 5.0 GHz while the Xbox one plays in 2.1. The ps4 also has the 4k VR headset that plays in 120Hz. The Xbox one had to have 4 different models to have better graphics than the ps4. PlayStation has more sales so that means more people to play online with or the more

I stand cowardly outside the tall building complex. I am afraid, yet confident, uneasy but excited. A mix of feelings swarm my mind. I suck it all up and walk in with my head held up high. I stride towards the receptionist desk. I casually make my way to the orientation room. All in an attempt of making myself look confident but in the inside, I am scared. Scared of making myself look like a fool in front of my new co workers. I take a deep breath and slowly turn the doorknob. I peer into the room and there sitting at a round table three women and a man. I recognize the women sitting front and center, that s the girl who interviewed me. Her name is Ash...Aman... Ava! Yes, yes Ava is her name. Myesia, welcome to the Vanity Fair orientation. I ll be informing you today. Oh, and here we have Luka, Brenda, and Laila! These three are your fellow interns, you should get to know as you three will be working side by side for the next two months. Ava exclaims cheerfully. Thank you, Ava, I am also thrilled to be here, thank for this amazing opportunity! Hello, Luka Brenda, and Laila I m excited for what the future holds for us three. I respond eagerly. Exciting is one way to put it. I was silly and naive. Little did I know this was going to be the most troubling and absurd two months of my life. The future holds much more than I thought I

Familial Mediterranean Fever Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is an autosomal recessive disorder, characterized by recurrent and self limited episodes of fever, abdominal pain, synovitis and pleuritis, lasting 1 3 days (Shohat and Halpern, 2011). Most of the patients are men and the mean age is 10; in about 65% of the cases experience their first symptoms before the age of 10 years old and 90%, before reaching the age of 20 years (Onen, 2006). Amyloid A (AA) amyloidosis remains as the main long term complication with a severe manifestation and poor prognosis. They did not particularly care if that was a false interpretation of the way life really was. When men such as Frank Norris, the author of The Octopus, wrote angrily of the injustices and povertyto be found in America, readers turned away. The Octopus made them change their minds. The course of the novel and the reality of its characters held the readers attention. It is so powerful a book that people had to care about the wheat growers, almost against their wishes. Their solution to the crisis was to keep magnifying it, until it ruined the farmers. Once the railroad raised the price for the land, the farmers could not afford to buy. They proceeded to create dummy buyers, fictitious settlers who they created to come in and buy the land. Soon after Delany, a ranch worker was fired, the railroad used him to act as a dummy buyer and buy the land. There was no way Delany could actually afforded to buy the land on his own; he was obviously acting as the railroad s pawn, sent to aggravate the ranchers who leased farms from the railroad. The railroad also tampered with other types of characters in the story. Dyke was fired from his job at the railroad after he refused to work for the rates of a man doing half the work he was doing. Then after Dyke mortgaged his land to the railroad, they raised the rates on the crop he was producing. They drove him to poverty and when he tried to take back what they had stolen from him by robbing money from one of their trains, they had him thrown in jail for life. This is another example of how Norris evinces the railroads unethical treatment of the common man in California at the time.Shelgrim, the executive of the P. and S.W. tried to justify the railroad s actions, and in a way, pass on the responsibility, by calling the railroad a force, something that he had no control over. In the novel, he compared this force to the way that wheat was

Attia and K.M.Abd El Kader *, Physics Department, Faculty of Science, Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt ABSTRACT In the present work, PVA Ag nanocomposite films with thickness 0.18 mm, constant silver content (0.4 wt. %) and with different time of reaction (0.1, 3, 5, 7, 9 h) were prepared by chemical reduction method. Structure, surface topology, photoluminescence and electrical properties of PVA Ag nanocomposite were studied using x ray diffraction (XRD), electrometer, atomic force microscope (AFM) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy were used to characterize the prepared nanocomposites. X ray patterns showed the existence of Ag nanoparticles within the PVA polymeric matrix with face centered cube (FCC) phase. It was found that the PL intensity for all samples increases, while the root mean square (rms) roughness decreases as the time of reaction is increased. Current voltage characteristics were analyzed to explore carrier transport mechanisms in Ag PVA nanocomposite and the results showed that there is an improvement in the electrical conductivity of the PVA Ag films and Frank poole emission is the prevailing transport mechanism for all samples. Mothers tend to struggle with choosing the way they want to feed their newborn baby. The biggest discussion is whether or not to breastfeed your newborn or formula feed. Formula feeding feeds the infantwhile also providing needed nutrition. Breastfeedinghelps create a bond between mother and child, has multiple health benefits as well as providing the best nutrition for children; therefore, I believe it is better for the mother and child. Bonding is quite important while raising children, and beneficial to the child altogether. A baby who breastfeeds also has a special opportunity to bond with his or her mother (Hubbard, J. Breastfeeding allows you to have more skin to skin contact, which many nurses recommend within the first year of life. ..it is also recommended during the postpartum period (Hubbard, J. Then the time when Bertha snuck into Jane s room, Jane thought she saw a vampire and describes her as fearful and ghastly (BrontГ« 242). Even when she finally saw Bertha in daylight she still called her a hyena. This is all in Jane s perspective, and readers take it for granted that Bertha is a monster or a ghost that roams around Thornfield Hall. There is no justification for why she attacked Mr. Rochester, but instead it seems right to have her locked up in the attic so that she does not pose any danger to others. However, Rhys provided a reason for Bertha s attack on Mr. Rochester. It started out with Mr. Rochester ignoring her and cheating on her during their honeymoon. Then when Mr. Rochester brings her back to England, she is locked away in a room, and Mr. Rochester never visited her. Since she has the disease of becoming mad, Mr. Rochester s treatment just accelerated the development of her madness. Even a normal person will become mad if they are locked away in a small room for a long period of time. Given this view, it seems rather rational for Bertha to set Mr. Rochester s bed on fire, because that is her way of fighting back her oppressor. By showing the conflicts that occurred betweein Mr. Rochester and Bertha, Rhys lets the readers see that Bertha attacks Mr. Rochester, because she wants to get rid of him so that she could be free again. This shows that she is not simply a lunatic that goes around setting things on
  • 15. Cyber Security And The Future Of National Security MEMO TO:PROF. GABRIEL MARGOLIS FROM:TOBIAS BATTS SUBJECT:CYBER SECURITY AND THE FUTURE OF NATIONAL SECURITY DATE:4/4/2016 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This memorandum is written to reveal the vulnerabilities of the current state of the United States cyber security. It will also specify policy options that can be taken in order to improve the current policy. Cyber security focuses on protecting computers, networks, databases, and programs from unauthorized access or change. Changes need to be made in cyber security as soon as possible if the United States wants to be secure. Informational technology is difficult to secure because of many different factors: the attacks do not have to occur at the location of the attack, so they can happen from anywhere worldwide, there is little co operation between existing cyber security groups, and it is difficult to find vulnerabilities and patch them before an attack. One pressing matter in cyber security now is infrastructure, such as power plants, which runs on old technology that is susceptible to complex attacks by hackers. Many actors, including government, individual groups, and businesses all spend time dealing with, or paying for a lack of, cyber security. A safer way to deal with these problems would be to co operate, as these attacks could cause harm or disrupt businesses. In the worst case scenario, millions of dollars worth of information could be stolen or destroyed. These problems highlight the critical need for an improved

Teepees were their traditional form of housing because they were easily constructed and then dismantled to fit the Plains Indian s transient lifestyle (Roth, 1923). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The men mainly wore leggings and short pants made out of animal skin and during the winter seasons they wore thick hide robes. It was difficult to obtain enough hide to clothe an entire village so some members had very little clothing at all and almost no one had more than one set of clothing (Carlson, 1998). This scarcity caused Plains Indians to reduce the use of their clothing by going naked in the warmer seasons in hopes of prolonging its use (Kaye, 1987). Most women wore dresses made out of lighter weight deerskin, sometimes with thin pants made out of deerskin or buffalo hide. Women spun and wove fibers made from flax and other wheat to make the inside of theses hides softer (Carlson, 1998). The act of adorning personal items with dyed porcupine quills is an ancient Native American art form predominantly used by the Plains Indian tribes before the introduction of glass beads. This method of decoration has long been a part of Plains Indian culture as archaeologists have discovered quill working tools dating back to the 6th century (Neuman, 1960). Quill work is entirely unique to the Subarctic, Plains, and Northeastern Woodlands of North America (Roth, 1923).These areas encapsulate the porcupine s natural habitat which reveals the ability of Plains Indians to utilize the resources around them for means of production beyond survival. When we have a view on something we may have to fight to prove its validity. Some of us may be able to do it on our own but many of us will need a helping hand. Nicolaus Copernicus was this type of man. He developed a theory of a sun centered or heliocentric solar system that went against the current popular belief of an earth centered or geocentric solar system. It took many centuries for the world to accept his theory. Kepler, Galileo and Newton were strong proponents to the Copernican model and continued to advance his research where they later proved that a heliocentric solar system was a correct model. Although Copernicus views suffered great backlash, he became the prime... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Tycho Brahe was able to calculate the most accurate measurements available to the naked eye of planetary motions. Even though they were the most accurate to date, he was still off by eight arc minutes. An arc minute is one sixtieth of a degree. Inspired by Brahe s inaccurate measurements, mathematician Johannes Kepler of Germany tried to continue working with Brahe s calculations but the 8 arc minute flaw encouraged him keep searching. Kepler was a strong believer in the Copernican model. He was not convinced though of the circular path. After much research Kepler proposed an elliptical orbit. Using Brahe s extensive notes he was able to conclude that an elliptical orbit was in fact correct. Using this he was able to develop the Three Laws of Planetary motions: The first law states the orbit of every planet is an ellipse with the sun at one of its focal points; the second states that line joining the sun and a planet sweeps out at equal areas at every point on its orbit; and the third equates the time it takes a planet to orbit the sun and the distance from the sun to the planet. These three laws are still commonly used today. With the use of the telescope Galileo was able to provide pivotal evidence for the Copernican Revolution in the early 1600s. Galileo was the first person to use the telescope for astronomy. He was able discover that the sun rotated on an axis by observing the motion of sunspots. By this discovery he concluded that it was very probable that

American Cinema And Its Effect On The Middle Class During the early 1900s motion pictures became popularized as an escapist entertainment medium that began transforming kinetoscope parlors, lecture halls, and storefronts into what became known as nickelodeons. Thanks to vaudevilles and their popularity, films were already known to have a vast audience and to be a new form of business with possible great success. These pioneer movie theaters had an affordable entry fee that expanded movie viewing to the middle class, not only increasing the popularity of motion pictures but also simultaneously increasing the demand of their production (Dirks). In addition to that, the fact that only a projectionist was needed to operate the act, it allowed for flexibility as to where on the vaudeville bill it could be placed. During the beginning of its introduction to the vaudeville bill, motion pictures were a major headlining act that would help vaudevilles, capture an audience. But as the novelty wore off it became the closing act for many vaudevilles and no longer the headliner. None the less, vaudevilles helped the concept of motion pictures to be introduced to the middle class while also allowing businessmen and others with economic interests to see the mass financial appeal that films could bring about ( American Variety Stage ). Tally s Electric Theater built in 1902 in the city of Los Angeles was actually the first structure that was entirely focused on just showing motion pictures, but it did not cause a large domino effect like nickelodeons did. As the popularity of movies continued to rise regardless of its placement in the vaudeville bill they proved to several business owners and entrepreneurs that movies were in fact a lucrative business ( From Nickelodeon to Picture Palaces. ). June 19, 1905 was a historical year for the path that the American motion picture industry was going to take. It was the day that a vaudeville entrepreneur named Harry Davis, and his partner, John P. An older generation can ignore addressing the issues of climate change, social security, and lack of cooperation among elected officials, but today s children and youth have to deal with the consequences (98). A democratic society should worry because we are not preparing youth to engage in politics and community affairs (Syvertsen et al 593). These challenges demand a coherent response, forcing people to think better. Public discussion is a key part of the deliberative arts, which teach students how to identify and develop a plan to solve a problem. The first art is framing, in which the group identifies all potential options for achieving a goal. The next art is democratic deliberation, where students discuss each option and judge it in relation to the group s goal. The next is working together for mutual goals, wherein each member has to resist the urge to solve the problem on their own. Students must also learn how to work together over an extended time, and how to evaluate their own goals, actions, and results (Fleming 43 44). A high school business teacher in Howard, South Carolina used these practices together to show his students how to affect change. He obtained a grant from a local university to study the community s cash flow. He took the problem to his students, who then conducted meetings with local business owners, consulted with county auditor, and surveyed community members. From the data they found that people were spending money in larger cities some distance away. The class published the results, and local residents read the study and responded by buying more locally. Annual taxes exceeded projections, and the auditor estimated that taxes infused six to seven million dollars into the local economy. This project

Keith Campbell from the University of Georgia. This article is based on an experiment that was taken place to prove whether others could perceive a narcissistic individual as a narcissist through observing their social media sites. This experiment was a correlational type of study. The experimenters goal was to analyze whether there was any correlation or connection between the web page owner being a narcissist and the type of content they had on their profile. With this type of study, the variables are not as familiar as they might be when it comes to other experiments. The independent variable, or as referenced in this article, the predictor variable, was the web pages owners measured narcissism. Since the experimenter doesn t necessarily manipulate this variable, it is known as the predictor variable instead. The dependent variable was the narcissistic impressions of the raters, or observers of the web pages. There was an extra variable in this experiment known as the proposed mediator. A proposed mediator is a model used to identify and explain the procedures that root from the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. In this case, the proposed mediators were the quantity of social interaction, main photo attractiveness, main photo sexiness, and main photo self promotion. Historically, there has been a devotion to the baseball rule , which is essentially a tool of public policy used to protect stadium owners. However, there is very little consensus on what exactly the rule entails and how it is applied across all jurisdictions. While this rule is justified based on a limited amount of data, Gallatin legislature should either reshape it to better reflect modern tort doctrine or continue operating on a case by case basis, taking all facts and situation based evidence into account. BASEBALL RULE The Baseball Rule has been widely adopted by courts in jurisdiction considering the legal duty of landowners owed to spectators at baseball games. The Baseball Rule has two main components: the owner must screen the most dangerous section of the field (typically the area behind the Homeplate) and the screening provided must be adequate to provide covering for as many spectators who desire protected seats. Spectators that willingly choose to watch the game in unscreened areas assume the open and obvious risk of being struck by a ball. With the Baseball Rule clearly limiting the landowner s legal duty, ballpark owners avoid potential lawsuits for every ball that strikes a spectator. Without the Baseball Rule, under general principles of landowner liability for negligence, spectator injuries are considered on a case by case basis upon criteria

It could be argued that Rochester is presented as superior to Jane, both intellectually and in terms of his knowledge of the world, but the revelation of his marriage to Bertha Mason demonstrates that in this relationship, it is Jane that possesses the moral and ethical superiority. Jane rejects Rochester s marriage proposal after she discovers his marital status to Bertha, not only because she feels it would be against the law and her religion, but possibly due to her fear that Rochester will end up imprisoning her through marriage, despite his best intentions, just as Rochester has imprisoned Bertha in Thornfield. I am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh: it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God s feet, equal as we are! Analysis Of The Book The Great Commission 4MAT Book Review The Great Commission to Worship Todd Bush Liberty University EVAN 525 B08: Contemporary Evangelism May 29, 2016 Abstract The question may be asked, what is the essence of being a Great Commission Worshipper? David Wheeler and Vernon Whaley provides subtle element of what the significance is to being a Great Commission Worshipper a man absolutely and similarly dedicated to evangelism and worship and an otherworldly procedure that is formational, transformational, social, missional, and reproducible. The postulation/thesis of the book is outlined in section two when the writers doubtlessly express A Great Commission worshipper is a person who is so much in love with Jesus, so committed to worship of Jesus, and so devoted to being obedient to every command of Jesus that he simply cannot restrain himself from telling others about his incredible relationship with the Son of God. 1 In The Great Commission to Worship: Biblical Principles for Worship Based Evangelism the writers join evangelism and love as profound orders that the Christian devotee must follow up on out of acquiescence for God. They state at an early stage that worship is not an event or something we do for God. Rather it is an act of unbridled obedience even when rational explanations are hard to find. 2 Wheeler and Whaley give regular confusions of evangelism and worship, giving a brief reaction for each. They then give a scriptural model of an evangelism venerate

God made a covenant with Abraham which extended corporately to all of Israel. Israel was expected to follow God, love others, keep the Law, and proselytize Gentiles to maintain covenantal status. Although God promised not to break God s covenant, there were still expectations for Israel and when Israel did not meet these expectations, God punished the nation. Additionally, God s covenantal call was intended to start with Israel, but branch out to the rest of the world. According to a study conducted at Georgetown University, liberal artsmajors were found to have one of the top unemployment rates at 8.4% (Dumbauld, 2016).
