Indonesian Vs. Bahasa Indonesian
Indonesia is a country that is described as having a beautiful scenery and is gorgeous place to
live. This doesn t mean that something with a beautiful scenery does not have any flaws that
come with it. Indonesia consists of a group of islands located in Southeast Asia and is between the
Indian and the Pacific Ocean. The proper language that is spoken is known as Indonesian or
Bahasa Indonesian . This is the most common language that is spoken in Indonesia; but is not the
only one that is used. Indonesian was first developed in the year 1945, when the declaration of
Indonesian independence was first drawn up. Although Indonesian is known as the official
language, it is actually the second most used language in Indonesia. Most of the population speaks
languages such as Minangkabau or Javanese. These languages are typically spoken at households
and the public. Indonesian on the other hand is commonly used at work and in school. The ethnic
groups that are usually found in Indonesia include: Javanese (45%), Sundanese (14%), Madurese
(7.5%), Coastal Malays (7.5%), and other (26%). Out of these ethnic groups the main religion that
is practiced is Muslim (88%) followed by Protestant (5%), Roman Catholic (3%), Hindu (2%),
Buddhist (1%) and other (1%). In extension to Indonesians, they are a mix of Chinese, European,
Indian, and Malay and even though there population consists of mainly Muslims, they also have a
vast amount of Christian Protestants, Catholics, Hindus, and Buddhists.

Circadian hemodynamics in men and women with high blood pressure. Journal of Hypertension, 1.
doi:10.1097/hjh.0000000000001533
This study was performed to put more explanation of how non dipping circadian blood pressure
works as far as cardiac output and vascular resistance are related to it. The non dipping pattern is
an established predictor of bad heart outcomes and researchers want to know more about what it
depends on. There are 140 African American and white men and women with elevated clinical
blood pressure. There are readings taken during the day and the night for each participant of
various hemodynamic values. This is a prospective cohort study. There is no control group
present in this study. Using the criterion of less than 10% dip in SBP, there were 51 non dippers
and 89 dippers. There was almost no change in cardiac output for all participants between night
time and day time. However, vascular resistance decreased from daytime to night time, but non
dippers compared with dippers exhibited a significant decrease in vascular resistance from
daytime to night time. Relative to the white participants, African Americans also exhibited dipping
as well as a decrease in vascular resistance. ANOVA analysis was used to calculate statistical
significance. In the context of high BP, these findings suggest that non dipping may be a
manifestation, or marker, of more advanced vascular disease. The non dipping pattern of circadian
blood pressure is a known

well tailored man indulging in the new opportunities that have bestowed upon him from his
association with the former silent film star. When Joe feels the unwary itch to build his own
original screenplay, he finds it problematic to break free from the shackles of Norma s ever so
tightening grip. Both Joe and Norma use one another for their own selfish needs. Joe craves the
kind of fame that Norma had and lost. Despite both of their magnified egos, it is Norma and her
upbringing in Hollywood that ultimately brings about not just her downfall but Joe s as well. The

the delirious aging woman hold him to her, until he begins to sneak out at night to work on a

consequences for all. Joe returns to the house in time to take the phone from Norma and invites

Rosalind Franklin Essay
Rosalind Franklin
As hard as is it is today for women to succeed in the sciences, one must give kudos to those that
came before us. These are the women that paved the way for today s generation of women
scientists. One such woman is Rosalind Elsie Franklin, a chemist who had a great impact on the
modern day field of genetics.
Rosalind was the second of five children. She was born on July 25, 1920 in London. The Franklin s
were an upper class family who lived a life of luxury. Rosalind never even had to go to school
she would have been provided for from her family s wealth. As a child, she never felt like she was
understood. She hated pretend games and did not play with dolls. Rosalind had to find the facts

Her Research at BCURA focused on how coal could be used most efficiently. Based on this
research, she earned a Ph.D. from Cambridge in 1945 (McGrayne, 1993). To better understand the
complex crystals in coal, Rosalind started using x ray crystallography. She became an expert at
using this technology.
In 1947, Rosalind moved to France. These years were the happiest of her life. She traveled
Europe extensively and had fun with friends. While she was in the prime of her life and could
have been married with a family, she chose not to. Rosalind loved children and would not have
someone else raise them. This commitment was not enough to make her give up her true love
science.
Rosalind headed back home to England in 1950. A physicist, John Randall of King s College,
invited Rosalind into his research group. He told her that her sole project would be to investigate
the structure of certain biological fibres, meaning DNA. This is where a man named Maurice
Wilkins first entered the picture. He was also a research associate in this group and played a
controversial role later in Rosalind s life (McGrayne, 1993).
While at King s, Rosalind discovered much about DNA. Working with her graduate student,
Raymond Gosling, she took the X ray photographs that would eventually lead to the helix theory of
DNA. But she also made other key discoveries. First, she determined that DNA was found in two
distinct forms, the wet and dry forms. Gosling had photographed the dry

The role of communication in team building and in the creation of positive group dynamics in a

BRC: ACADEMIC PAPER
BRC: ACADEMIC PAPER
Abstract:
Communication is widely recognised in the literature as being important to modern management. In
the case of the BRC project, communication was often an issue, and was relatively poor for the
author s project team. This paper analyses the role of communication in team building and group
dynamics, in order to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Privman et al (2013, p. 33) refers to these dynamics as us versus them , and demonstrates that they
can act to reduce performance, creating conflicting goals and responsibilities. This could have been
a problem for the project, as two members of the team already knew each other, and hence tended to
support each other s opinions and positions creating something of a split in the team. The existence
of such conflicts increases the importance of communication, and particularly the value of
emotional intelligence in said conversation. Specifically, team members can only overcome such
informal network based conflicts through communication based on putting aside the differences
between groups and encouraging more effective communication behaviour designed to form an
overall group (Sigmar et al, 2012, p. 301). The existence of higher levels of emotional intelligence
and their application to the case of the BRC project would have been very useful in overcoming the
issues encountered, and ensuring high levels of overall performance.
Another important factor which is linked to the development of emotional intelligence is the
development of specific team working and team based communication skills. These are vital for
effective team performance, as all teams need individuals who will act to drive communication
amongst team

Religion In Christina Rossetti s Goblin Market
Christina Rossetti s Goblin Market discusses two sisters who try to resist the fruit sold by
Goblin men, but one sister decides to eat the fruit anyways despite her sister s warning. This
leads to horrible consequences for Laura, yet later on she is saved by her sister s, Lizzie, actions.
There seems to be a great debate on whether or not this poem is a Christian allegory. Religionwas a
major trait of the Victorian era, with Christian beliefs presented throughout many literary works
and art pieces. Christina Rossetti, herself, was deeply influenced by religion and governed herself
by strict religious principles. Her beliefs are widely seen throughout many of her works, especially
that of Goblin Market. This poem not only support the religious argument by depicting the story of
Adam and Eve, but by also displaying devotional symbolism throughout. Religion was a crucial and
important factor in Christina Rossetti s Goblin Market. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Goblin Market has been widely and plausibly interpreted as a Christian allegory, this assumption
is why it is believed to be connected to religious views(Taft 326). The presence of religion can
automatically be sensed when reading this work. Critics believe that Rossetti s religious view
influenced her greatly when writing. Religion was very important to her and became the major
focus of her life. Her writing was charged with a great amount of religious undertones, and her
poem, Goblin Market, is credited by some to be one of her most spiritual works. Many readers
seem to believe that Rossetti s poem illustrates a religious message that is presented through not
only her text, but her characters as

Persuasive Essay On Hunger
Elizabeth Olsen says I get way too much happiness from good food. This is not something just
anyone can feel. Going home to a meal on the table is a privilege in this economy. In just WNC,
Western North Carolina, there are kids and entire families that are not getting ends meat. This is
a big problem that we as a community need to fix, The number of undernourished human beings
on the planet increased from 777 million in 2015 to 815 million in 2016 (New York Times).
Nevertheless, there are already movements being created. One of these movements is MANNA
FoodBank, whose mission is to help and provide a meal. And others like Roadrunner, who gives
backpacks of foodto about 1,500 kids are also trying to stop hunger (Hunger 35).
Hunger in the U.S. has been a problem for centuries. In the early 1980s, adverse economic
conditions and efforts to limit federal spending led to a general belief that hunger was
widespread in the United States and may have been increasing. Every year food is rising in
price, and every year more and more people can t afford to have a meal on the table when they
get home. According to Time Magazine [the cost of] dried beans, has leaped an astounding 256%
since December 1970, while rice has jumped 124%. People started seeing this pattern and in the
1986 s millions joined hands. This movement was called Hands Across America. This event was to
raise money for the Americans who are hungry. This act was just a small bite out of the whole
apple. The

The American Crisis Thomas Paine Rhetorical Devices
The American Revolution was not only one of the most significant events in American history,
but also ignited the minds of many journalists and writers, such as Thomas Paine. Paine began
his career as a journalist in 1776 with the well known pamphlet Common Sense . By the end of
this year, he was enlisted in the American army and had begun to write a series of essays, entitled
The American Crisis . At the time these were written, morale was low in the army, and the
soldiers were suffering many hardships. So, George Washington ordered that Paine s essay was to
be read in front of the troops to inspire them to keep fighting. He sparked a revolutionary spirit
amongst the soldiers by using different methods of persuasion. In this excerpt from The American
Crisis, Number 1 , Paine used metaphors to provoke feelings of anger and indignation, imagery to
inspire his audience, and logic to blatantly show the contrast between mercy and disdain.... Show

This rhetorical device is called logos. Logos is used in this essay to persuade the audience that
they should continue to fight back, because it was clearly the best option the Americans had.
Paine used common sense when he stated that, It is the madness of folly to expect mercy from
those who have refused to do justice. He was saying that if the British have refused to represent
us in Parliament or negotiate, why do you think they will show us mercy in the Revolution? Paine
was saying that it was madness that the colonists, especially the soldiers, should expect Britain to
be kind to them in battle and should instead see how they disdain America. He was breaking down
all of the complexities of war and putting them into simple and logical terms so everyone could
understand that this was not going to be a war easily

The Effects Of Lowering And Raising Interest Rates
introduction this report is going to discuss the money market and how interest rates are determined,
it will then look at the effects of lowering and raising interest rates and the limitations of these
effects. the money market is a section of the financial market where short term loans and financial
instruments are traded, for example these could be short term loans between banks with the debt
maturing in less than a year.
This gives banks, lenders and other borrowers the ability to satisfy their short term financial needs.
Finance Development, June 2012, Vol. 49, No. 2, Randall Dodd
Explaining how interest rates are determined by the money market once the government has set
targets and objectives, it is up to the policy makers to use the tools available in order to meet these
objectives. these levers are made up using fiscal and monetary policy tools. The tools used in the
fiscal policy is the use of taxation in order to control public spending, which can affect aggregate
demand. When taxes are lower individuals and business will be able to keep more of what they
earn, causing better cash flow in the economy and increasing consumer spending ans confidence.
This will also be more of an incentive for individuals to seek work including workers from other
countries in the EU, as they can keep more of what they earn as take home pay, this will cause a
rise in employment, improving the efficiency of the country. When taxes are high this will
generally work in the opposite

From an historical perspective, having a legal framework that consists of juvenile offenders is
comparatively low (Elrod Ryder, 2011). Throughout history, children who are as young as seven

Basic Nursing Care in Pressure Sore Prevention Essay

Throughout this time different pedagogies have been explicated to prevent patients from
developing pressure sores (R. J. G. Halfens M. Eggink 1995). What is more, less is known about
the effectiveness of these methods. On account of this observation the author opted to recapitulate

Patients get a pressure ulcer for a legion of rationalities. According to Alene Burke of Nursing
Assistant Education, some of the elements why people get them which she cited from Nettina, S.
(2009), are old age, deficient mobility, lack of moisture, and insufficient diet. Moreover, factors
like neurological and other physical problems, friction and shearing, bed and chairs with wrinkled
linens or hard objects and pressure ulcers in the past may similarly predispose pressure ulcer. This
observations implies that in nursing care pressure ulcers are prospected as negligence, however it
is arrogated that pressure ulcers are avoidable on the condition that prime level of care is
continuously rendered to patients and residents. (Burke 2010). Working in a healthcare domain
means providing the most effective and beneficial care for the incompetent patients. Particularly, to
those who needs intimate nursing assistance such as dressing, bathing, eating, toileting and skin
care activities ( Wurster 2007).This is especially true if the person is mentally, emotionally, and
physically dependent like the clients in nursing homes. Nurses, health care assistants or support
workers and other health care providers ought to educate themselves for improving quality of care
and exceeding specific benchmarks in regards to pressure sores ( Wurster 2007). All the same the

Back To Square One In The Great Gatsby
My body freezes up, my hands get clammy as I anticipate the roll of the dice. I needed at least a
six to advance to go without paying an income tax. I pull my hands to my face as I realize that I
rolled a five, one less than I needed to avoid paying a tax. In terms of Monopoly, square one is
where I started the game, which would be the square go. In a bigger scale, square one is much
more complex because life is made up of miniature moments that are influenced by different
conditions. For me, square one is where someone starts, but I see it as shaped by previous events.
Therefore it is impossible to get back to square one because past events will alter someone s square

What Conditions Explain The Creation Of The Westphalia Treaty
Part 1) What conditions explain the creation of the Westphalia treaty in 1648?
The Westphalia treaty of 1648 which ended the Thirty Years War, can be described as one of the
prominent milestones that shaped the principle of state sovereignty. These treaties, both signed in
the western cities of current day MГјnster and OsnabrГјck, Germany. This paper will describe the
conditions that made it necessary for a co existing agreement in Europe at the time, which would
later become the basis of a state s self determination and existence. It will also include the
implications that the treaty had upon Europe, and the world today. The many political principles
deriving from the Westphalian treaty would become apparent in modern day society, whether
embraced fully or used as a stepping stone to considering other principles, it would influence the
way that international law, politics, and diplomacy would be determined. A state is defined as a
legal entity with a permanent population, a well defined territory, and a government capable of
exercising sovereignty. The definition becomes important during this time period of the signing of
the Peace Treaty, and for the overall international law for years to come.
Gregory Raymond s 2005 Westphalia excerpt describes the events and characteristics of the 1648
Westphalia Treaty by stating that, [U]nder the terms of the peace agreements, the power of the

company or even move the company to a different location. The challenge for Gilcrist will be to
stimulate employee creativity and tolerance for change due to her new directorship as president.
7. Should she immediately move to make the company more market oriented? How?
Yes, the move would be a wise choice if Yellowtail is having problems complying with

Heart Rate Anticipatory Response
Heart rate anticipatory response this is where the heart rate starts to automatically increase before
you start to exercise. The heart rate is able to increase automatically by chemical hormones, the
hormones are adrenaline and noradrenaline. These hormones are found inside the brain. The reason
the heartrate increase before exercise is because it prepares the muscles for exercise, the reason it
prepares the muscles for exercise is because by the heart rate increase the more oxygen is getting
to the muscles there fore they will not be needing a such a large oxygen supply all at once. It
doesn t only supply oxygen it supply s nutrients, the supply of nutrients also provides energy and
helps to repair the muscles after exercise. By the heart rate starting to increase gives the heart a
head to start pumping hard this enables the heart to not have as much stress on it.
Activity response activity response is when your brain can start to sense cardiovascular activity. The
brain is able to make changes in the heart rate, the change includes heart rate increase and the
strength of the heart pumping blood around the body. The red blood cells can also be altered to if

Vasoconstriction is when the working muscles are not getting the oxygen they need because the
veins and vessels are stopping the blood flow. In this process of vasoconstriction the diameter of
the vessels get smaller therefore the blood that is able to flow out of the blood vessels gets
decreased. Blood vessels constrict together instead of being relaxed. This happens during exercise
because that s when the working muscles need oxygen. The other muscles don t need as much
oxygen there for when the blood gets there it gets redirected to the other muscles that are working
and that require more oxygen. Therefore when exercising the legs the stomach wouldn t get as

Greek Virtues
The ancient Greeks had a philosophy when it came to behavior and showing high moral standards
in their society. Two Greek philosophers known as Plato and Aristotle compiled virtues that were
valued in the Greek society. These virtues began with Plato s original four which included wisdom,
courage, moderation, and justice. Later Aristotlewould add an additional twelve virtues which two
courage and justice were already part of the original four, these were temperance, liberality,
magnificence, pride, honor, good temper, friendliness, truthfulness, wit, and friendship. Combined
Ancient Greeks had a total of 14 virtues. It is apparent that these virtues were very important to
Ancient Greeks since they are seen in the poems and stories told throughout

prevent drowning, disease and decay. You might drill holes in the pots, but you should also add
draining rocks, too, in order to keep the soil and roots inspired.
4. Prep a nutrient rich soil. This should be according to the needs of your chosen plants and the
quality of your potting soil.
5. Carefully transfer your plants. Try to mimic the conditions and positions going from pot to
container.

After the reviewing of the questionnaire the court will randomly select those who will be
summoned to jury duty. (Criminal Find Law) Everyone must do jury duty once every 12
months. There will be a $1500 fine if you do not show up and perform your duty. There is two
reasons on why you could be excused. One reason is if they have a physical or mental
impairment. The other reason is if attending will cause a financial burden. (US Courts) To be on
jury duty you won t have to understand English 100% you must understand it enough to be able to
know what is going on. The court uses the common language. But if you cannot understand the

Shikoku Pilgrimage
Is the Omairingu project inspiring or ridiculous?
Introduction
The Shikoku Henro is a Buddhist Pilgrimage visiting eighty eight Buddhist Temples in Shikoku to
commemorate one of the most famous Japanese Buddhist Monks KЕ«kai as known as KЕЌbЕЌ
Daishi. This pilgrimage is a training bringing both physical and spiritual benefits to pilgrims
through its intensive process. Nevertheless, due to the consequences of rapid modernization in
Japan, cultural practices like Shikoku Henro are at threats of erosion because of the increasing
concentration of Japanese people on fulfilling material life rather than enriching spiritual
experience. Facing challenges of being eternally forgotten, Shikoku Pilgrimage needs a greater
dynamic to continue preserving its quintessence. One of the possible solutions that were already
implemented is giving birth to the Omairingu manga, anime and cosplay pilgrimage in attempts to
reintroduce this holy practice in a more pop cultural approach. However, the Omairingu concept is
quite controversial among traditional pilgrims and pop culture fans on how much is too much to

The Completion Of My Degree Program At Northeastern State...
At the completion of my degree program at Northeastern State University, commencement
exercises were rapidly approaching. As most of my classmates and friends were filled with
excitement, I was experiencing mixed emotions, most of all fear of the unknown as to where I
would end up.
To be completely honest, I was fearful of leaving Tahlequah and Northeastern State simply due to
so many unknown variables as to what steps I would take next in my life. I dreaded the fact that I
was leaving Tahlequah, as it was a place that helped me to grown intellectually, emotionally, and
physically.
The influence of Dr. Kent Lashley had motivated me to become more scholarly and instilled a
desire of life long learning. Emotionally, I was forced to grow, mature, and problem solve without
having my parents there to coach me, and as a result of that, I gained confidence and
independence in my ability to make it as a young adult. Physically, I grew and learned the
importance of proper nutrition, became an avid runner, and earned my 3rd degree black belt before
graduating from college.
The fear within me was simply not knowing where I would end up teaching with my first job. I
had not applied too many places in Oklahoma before my graduation date as I had placed all of my
eggs in one basket. I had relied on a young lady that I thought would spend the rest of my life with
and was headed to Florida to fulfill a lifelong goal. Little did I know that the relationship would

Balzac And The Little Chinese Seamstress Summary
The novel, Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress, by Dai SiJie is about two boys, the narrator
and his friend Luo. Along with other with other youths of China, they were both sent down to the
country side during the Cultural Revolution of China to be re educated. At the time anyone that had

Since love was a very foreign idea to them, it influenced them to become more interested in
western book, which did not include any propaganda. When the narrator reads Jean Christophe a
book by Romain Rolland, he talks about the main character fondly Without him I would never
have understood the splendor of taking free and independent action as an individual. Up until
this stolen encounter with Romain Rolland s hero, my poor educated and re educated brains had
been incapable of gasping the notion of one man standing up against the whole world (110).
This is the main reason why Mao didn t want people reading any kind of literature that was not
connected to the party or scientific. Books such as the one the narrator read inspired people
which can motivate then to rise up against his dictatorship and lead to his loss of power. When
talking about the main character from the Balzac Ursule Mirouet novel, the narrater sates I
longed to be like her: to be able, while I lay asleep on my bed, to see what my mother was doing
in our apartment five hundred kilometers away, to watch my parents having supper, to observe
their gestures...better still, like Ursele, I would visit, in my dreams, places I had never set eyes on
before... (58 59). From this passage it can be seen how disillusioned the youth of China were due to
the re education process. Another key reason why Luo and the narrator were so interested in the
books was because they could relate to the stories. They were able to picture it happening to
themselves which in a way gave them an escape from their reality and the fact that they might

Advantages Of Visual Impairment
Parenting a Teenager with a Visual Impairment
Being the parent of a teenager can be a challenging job. When your teenager is visually impaired,
however, you may find yourself dealing with all the issues most families encounter plus others. You
may notice at times that your child s visual impairment affects her ability to make friends,
participate in the activities other teenagers are doing, or keep up in school.
Alternatively, your child may be doing well in these areas but perhaps be struggling emotionally
with feelings about her visual impairment, herself, and her future.
From Your Perspective
Each child is unique, and your daughter s successes and struggles will be her own. However, you
may want to keep the following in mind.
There may be times when you observe your child struggling to do something such as prepare a
meal herself or feeling dejected because her vision loss keeps her from getting a learner s permit
for driving. These incidents may cause you to grieve for the normal sight your child doesn t have.
Feelings of anger, denial, or depression are common in circumstances like these, even if your child
has had her visual impairment since birth or early childhood.
When you feel this way, it may be helpful to try to turn it around and think about the things your
daughter has learned to do, such as taking the bus downtown by herself or opportunities she s had
because of her visual impairment, such as attending a summer work program or a college
preparatory program for teenagers who are visually impaired.
From Your Teenager s Perspective
It can be a challenge to communicate with any teenager, so don t be surprised if your daughter
doesn t want to talk about her feelings about being visually impaired. Let her know that you re
there to talk but realize she may not want to talk to you, or anyone, about how she s feeling.
It may help at times to try putting into words how she appears to you You look down in the
dumps this morning, or You look really excited! Hearing you acknowledge what she might be
feeling may help your child open up and either talk with you or tell you that you re wrong. Either
way, you may be able to help her explore her feelings and give her a chance to express herself.

Response To Obamacare
Thank you for contacting me regarding Obamacare. I appreciate having the opportunity to

reform law have been proven false. People who liked their health care plans and their doctors
have not always been able to keep them under Obamacare. The Obamacare website was badly
designed, not secure, untested, and prone to frequent, random crashes. Insurance premiums have
gone up for many; they certainly have not fallen by an average of $2,500 per family, as was
claimed would happen under Obamacare. I have consistently voted to repeal or defund the
Obamacare law and rescind the $1 trillion in new taxes and $1.8 trillion in new spending contained

Essay On Assembly Line Medicine
The assembly line was introduced during the industrial revolution: transforming manufacturing and
allowing technology to flourish. Although this procedure is useful when dealing with machines, it
can be detrimental in more human centered careers namingly medicine, in which the most
effective treatments are those which are tailored to the individual. However, assembly line
medicine has been increasingly implemented into the medical field today. Rather than tailored
treatments, a one size fits all approach is being forced on unwilling doctors. Now, the practice of
medicine is much like a broken machine. Assembly line medicine, the idea that medicine is
becoming more procedure based and requires less on the part of doctors, corrupts medicine. In
order to combat this, emphasis should be placed on healing and there should be decreased

Working As An Engineer For Electrical Engineering
Working as an engineer is much different than training to be an engineer, unlike school, there is no
typical day. Typically, engineers work in office buildings, laboratories, or industrial plants, but
others work outdoors at construction sites, oil exploration and production sites. In outdoor sites,
engineers usually monitor, direct operations, or solve on site problems. Some engineers travel
extensively to plants or work sites in their area and abroad. Having investigated a career in
electrical engineering, I have learned some information that I did not know before and made the
decision of pursuing a career in electrical engineeringbased on research and interview answers.
Many engineers work a standard 40 hour week, but at times deadlines or design standards may
bring extra pressure to a job, requiring engineers to work longer hours. Although extra pressure
can be uncomfortable, for many engineers the pay is worth the long hours. According to the
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, The median annual wage for electrical engineers was $87,920
in May 2012. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned
more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $56,490, and
the top 10 percent earned more than $136,690 (Statistics) . This means that an electrical engineer
can earn as much as $136,690 in his or her career. That extra pressure in the field can lead to a raise

Body Dysmorphic Disorder
In the article, Understanding Body Dysmorphic Disorder: An Essential Guide, Katharine defined as
a condition whereby individuals feel dissatisfied with their physical appearance (12). This condition
is caused by brain differences, genes, and environment. An abnormal brain anatomy might play a
huge role in making people susceptible to this health condition. People with Body Dysmorphic
Disorder (B.D.D) have been known to inherit the conditions from their parents. Environmental
factors such as culture contribute to making a person develop the dysmorphic disorder. These
environments usually contain negative social interactions with people who make funny comments
about an individual s physical appearance.
The article indicates that some of the symptoms of B.D.D include avoidance of social gatherings,
and striving to hide the perceived physical flaws with makeups. Endless comparisons of oneself
with others, suspecting that others are taking special considerations in the victim in a negative
manner are the other symptoms. One recommended treatment method for B.D.D is a visit to a
medical expert. Psychiatrists and other mental health experts are efficient in addressing this
condition.

Power Lithium Ion Capacitor Using Carbon Silicon...
TUltrahigh power lithium ion capacitor using lithiated silicon oxycarbide and snake fruit rinds
activated carbonвЂ
*a,b
In this study, we report reports an approach to form an exceptionally high power lithium ion
capacitor (LIC) using environmentally friendly lithiated silicone oxycarbide (SiOC) material
derived from phenyl rich silicone oil as the anode and activated carbon via KOH activation of
snake fruit rinds (SKOH) as the cathode. A battery type SiOC anode exhibited an incredibly high
rate capability in which one third of its initial capacity was maintained even after the discharge
current density increased up to 1,600 fold (from 0.05 to 80 A g 1). Moreover, the SKOH cathode
demonstrated a massive surface area of 2,638 m2 g 1 promoting a remarkably high capacitance.
When coupled to lihtium metal in a cell, the maximum power density of SKOH in LIC was 7.4
Г— 106 W kg 1 at a current density of 103 W h kg 1 (a loading mass of c.a. 4 mg cm 2). The
optimized lithiated SiOC anode and SKOH cathode were paired in an LIC cell, providing a
maximum power density of 156,000 W h kg 1 at an energy density of 25 W h kg 1. Moreover, the
LIC demonstrates an outstanding cycle retention of 93% after 78,000 cycles. Introduction

Pulitzer Prize Winner, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Published in the year of 1960, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee was one of the few
American novels to be awarded with the Pulitzer Prize. The racism in To Kill a Mockingbird is
brought to life with reflective imagery. It also shows how predominant racism was in southern
states in the 1930s. There happens to be several important characters in the book, yet the character
that played a key role in the novel happens to be Atticus Finch. Atticus is a man of great integrity
and intellect. In more ways than one, Atticus possesses several qualities of a hero such as, being
determined, righteous, courageous, and instructing. Harper Lee uses several forms of
interpretation, discourse, and actions to portray Atticus as an individual of heroic qualities.
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus best educates his children with life lessons. He states, It s when
you know you re licked before you begin, but you begin anyways and you see it through no
matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do (Lee 124). This shows that from the start of
the novel, it is clear that Atticus has been an unlucky individual, but still remains positive despite
the outcome. He excels at showing Scout and Jem courage and forbearance towards others. He
tells his children that they could learn a simple trick that would help them get along a lot better
with all kinds of people. He goes on by saying, you never really understand a person until you

Analysis Of Glengarry Glen Ross By David Mamet
Everyday people use speech to relay their thoughts and feelings. Some people s jobs revolve
around speaking to others to convince them that they have a better idea for their investments and
that they know what is best for the customer. Such jobs include those of salesmen. Their sole job is
to convince their customers that it is in their best interest to buy their product that they are trying to
sell. The film adaptation of the play Glengarry Glen Rosswritten by David Mamet, illustrates how
salesmen are able to convince other groups of people that they know what is in the best interest of

Blake mandates him by saying, Put that coffee down. Coffee s for closers only and Levene

Levene s attention by telling them that they are all fired and the only way to get their job back
is by earning it. Blake is an expert in engaging others and makes them listen to him no matter
what it takes. He constantly uses profanity to emasculate the salesmen, which gets his points

one of his customers, Lingk, to close a deal by first getting him drunk, and then follows it up by
appealing to Lingk s emotions and being personable. Roma also uses literary devices such as,

she became an outlaw from a schoolteacher. Miss Katherine Barlow was a sweet schoolteacher
from the nineteenth century at Green Lake. She is also known for her beauty and her spiced
peaches: ...full of knowledge and full of life. (Sachar, 102) She was very pretty. Her classes were
often full of young men, who were ... interested in the teacher... (Sachar, 102) This shows that she
was valued in the town of Green Lake. Most young men, and villagers liked... Show more content

Miss Katherine didn t like him back. She rejected his requests to go on walks, and ride fancy
boats that he owned. Instead she liked the onion man: Sam. He was black, and he sold onions
around the town with his donkey Mary Lou. Once Miss Katherine asked Sam to fix the leaking
roof in exchange for some jars of her peaches. After he finished with the roof, she asked him to
fix other things. Each time she tried to find a reason to talk to him and be around him. She did
this because black people weren t allowed to go to school. When Sam had fixed the schoolhouse
completely fixed the schoolhouse, she was sad, because she didn t get that much time to talk to
him anymore. She liked him, and they kissed: Oh Sam, she said. My heart is breaking. I can fix
that, said Sam. He took hold of her hands and kissed her. (Sachar, 111) This shows that were both
in love. They didn t even take in mind that black and white people couldn t kiss or have a future
together. They simply didn t care about it. Unfortunately black and white people weren t
allowed to kiss: It s against the law for a Negro to miss a white woman. This shows that there
was still a racial problem at that time, and Sam the onion picker wasn t allowed to kiss Miss
Katherine. The positive thing about Miss Katherine is that she was well educated and friendly as a
teacher. Then her life changed completely and she became the opposite of what she

Kill Fungus Experiment
In our experiment we can conclude that the control/water can t kill fungus you would need some
type of alcohol chemical or even our daily hand soap to kill the fungus. The experiment wasn t
quite what we were expecting because we thought the fungus would grow more on the control
and soap, but the soap didn t get a whole bunch of fungus. Another thing that didn t we expecting
was the hand sanitizer because it was 70 percent ethyl alcohol so we were expecting less fungus
than we got. Our hypothesis was if fungus grow on soap, water, or hand sanitizer, then no
chemical can kill fungus. The hypothesis was and was not prove correctly because you need
water and some sort of hand cleaner (like soap) to get your hands clean. The fungus can t dead by

The Structure Of Dulce Et Decorum Est
World War One World War I began in 1914 and lasted until 1918, after the assassination of
Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Wilfred Owen was one of the young men who decided to enlist,
choosing to fight the fight for England. Through his experience on the battlefield he wrote the
poem Dulce et Decorum Est, as a piece to show people that there is no glory in war; only
destruction, decay, and death. Despite the poem appearing to have a simple structure, it is revealed
to be much more complex. Dulce et Decorum Est appears to follow the iambic pentameterpoem
construction style, but that is ultimately not the case. An iambic pentameter style poem should
have the set up where there are ten syllables or five feet in each line, with a stressed and then
relaxed word interplay. This poem does not strictly follow this template. It appears Owen is
pretending to follow a normal poem style, only to become erratic, displaying the destruction of war.
The careful construction of the poem through perspective changes, random... Show more content on

The second stanzas first line brings you into the action, and you are no longer just viewing the
soldiers, technically, as in the first stanza. Gas! GAS! Quick, boys! An ecstasy of fumbling. (Line
9) That yell of danger instills an internal panic. The soldiers who were just described as being
beggars and hags are now called boys in this stanza. Quick, boys! (Line 9) Once boys, now
soldiers who have been reduced to almost zombie like characters are clearly brought to life here.
In stanza two, Owen has also changed his verbs or action words. In this stanza, we are no longer in
the past tense. We are now in the moment experiencing and seeing the sights. An ecstasy of
fumbling Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time, But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound ring like a man in fire or lime. (Lines

The Three Reasons Of Chivalry In The Modern Society
In this technologically advanced world, there is an element that is missing. In everyday life,
there used to be chivalry: holding open doors, pulling a chair out for a woman, and even the
phrase ВЁladies go first.ВЁ Chivalry is courteous acts and gallant behavior, especially toward
women, also known as the gentleman. There are very few modern gentleman and that is the
problem with today s world. Not to mention, all of society has lost respectfor each other. There are
three main reasons that chivalryhas disappeared, the addiction to social media, the general lack of
manners, and finally, women themselves. There is no way to solve a problem that no one cares
about. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of people care about chivalry, and the basic respect for all
men. Ergo, there is no guaranteed solution, but maybe if the general public agree to teach some
sort of chivalrous content in public schools, we could start something big. The first reason that
there are very few gentleman left, is the fact that this generation relies so heavily on social media.
According to a study from the family technology education non profit group, Common Sense
Media, ВЁteens are spending more than one third of their days using media such as online video
or music nearly nine hours on average,ВЁ therefore people are distracted by their devices.
Individuals spend so much time on their phone, that they do not feel like talking to people they
would rather text. Even so, there is no worry anymore because

Funeral Customs In America
Funerals are an event that everyone has to experience at least once in their lives. For the most part
here in the United States funerals are mainly carried out in a similar fashion no matter the religion.
But what about funerals in other countries? Do they have the same customs we as Americans do?
This paper will take a closer look into the funeralcustoms of other countries around the world. Let s
look at funerals in Germany. In the event of a deaththere they summon a doctor to make out the
death certificate, and then notify the funeral home of the passing. The family can continue to plan
all arrangements or leave the planning to the funeral home at a greater cost. Most Germans will
choose to be cremated because it is less costly for their family members left behind. If they wish...

Funeral customs in Japan vary widely from region to region, but the majority of them are held as
Buddhist funerals. At the time of death the body will be washed, and the orifices stuffed with
cotton or gauze. Following the cleaning, the body is dressed in a suit or kimono depending on
the gender of the deceased. Makeup is applied, and then the body is taken to where the service
will be held. Once all of the arrangements have been made the body is put on dry ice in the
casket. After family and close friends have attended the wake, the funeral service is held.
Following the service the body and the family are transported to the crematorium where they
wait for their loved one to be cremated so they may retrieve their bones and ashes. Due to the
high population and small land area in Japan they are all cremated and share a family gravesite.
Once the ashes have been collected they are taken to the family gravesite where the family says
their last goodbyes and the urn is placed into the hollow space inside the gravestone. The family
will hold services on certain days and years over time following the death of their loved one. (Billy

Yamaha uses these basic carts for many reasons, but the main reason is many courses need
rental carts and these basic Yamaha carts are perfect for these courses to buy and use. Not only
does this bring in a profit for Yamaha but it also gets their name out. Yamaha also has electric
carts or gas carts, so whatever type of cart the customer wants Yamaha can provide. Yamaha s final
strength is they provide more than just golf carts to the golf industry. Yamaha provides range
pickers, drink carts, and maintenance carts. Yamaha becomes more attractive to golf courses when
they offer these types of vehicles because they can offer package deals, and other companies don t
offer these luxuries. A couple of weaknesses Yamaha has is they have no global presence, so they
have limited themselves to only a certain market and within the market they offer to Yamaha doesn
t advertise as much as they should. Next, Yamaha offers more than just golf equipment, so they don t
put all their effort into just their golf equipment. Finally, Yamaha doesn t offer the technology we
are introducing to the golf industry, so their customers may lose interest. We feel that we have a
very valuable company. Spieth Co. produces top of the line products. Not only do we sell high
tech golf carts, we also sell golf clubs, equipment, and apparel. Having a variety of things for sale
makes us a profitable company. We have excellent customer service as well. We provide customers

Indonesia consists of a group of islands located in Southeast Asia and is between the Indian and the Pacific Ocean. The proper language that is spoken is known as Indonesian or Bahasa Indonesian . This is the most common language that is spoken in Indonesia; but is not the only one that is used. Journal of Hypertension, 1. doi:10.1097/hjh.0000000000001533 This study was performed to put more explanation of how non dipping circadian blood pressure works as far as cardiac output and vascular resistance are related to it. The non dipping pattern is an established predictor of bad heart outcomes and researchers want to know more about what it depends on. There are 140 African American and white men and women with elevated clinical blood pressure. There are readings taken during the day and the night for each participant of various hemodynamic values. This is a prospective cohort study. There is no control group present in this study. Using the criterion of less than 10% dip in SBP, there were 51 non dippers and 89 dippers. There was almost no change in cardiac output for all participants between night time and day time. However, vascular resistance decreased from daytime to night time, but non dippers compared with dippers exhibited a significant decrease in vascular resistance from daytime to night time. Relative to the white participants, African Americans also exhibited dipping as well as a decrease in vascular resistance. ANOVA analysis was used to calculate statistical significance. In the context of high BP, these findings suggest that non dipping may be a manifestation, or marker, of more advanced vascular disease. The non dipping pattern of circadian blood pressure is a known ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These years were the happiest of her life. She traveled Europe extensively and had fun with friends. While she was in the prime of her life and could have been married with a family, she chose not to. Rosalind loved children and would not have someone else raise them. This commitment was not enough to make her give up her true love science. Rosalind headed back home to England in 1950. A physicist, John Randall of King s College, invited Rosalind into his research group. He told her that her sole project would be to investigate the structure of certain biological fibres, meaning DNA. This is where a man named Maurice Wilkins first entered the picture. He was also a research associate in this group and played a controversial role later in Rosalind s life (McGrayne, 1993). While at King s, Rosalind discovered much about DNA. Privman et al (2013, p. 33) refers to these dynamics as us versus them , and demonstrates that they can act to reduce performance, creating conflicting goals and responsibilities. This could have been a problem for the project, as two members of the team already knew each other, and hence tended to support each other s opinions and positions creating something of a split in the team. The existence of such conflicts increases the importance of communication, and particularly the value of emotional intelligence in said conversation. Specifically, team members can only overcome such informal network based conflicts through communication based on putting aside the differences between groups and encouraging more effective communication behaviour designed to form an overall group (Sigmar et al, 2012, p. 301). The existence of higher levels of emotional intelligence and their application to the case of the BRC project would have been very useful in overcoming the issues encountered, and ensuring high levels of overall performance. Another important factor which is linked to the development of emotional intelligence is the development of specific team working and team based communication skills. These are vital for effective team performance, as all teams need individuals who will act to drive communication amongst team ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Westphalia treaty of 1648 which ended the Thirty Years War, can be described as one of the prominent milestones that shaped the principle of state sovereignty. These treaties, both signed in the western cities of current day MГјnster and OsnabrГјck, Germany. This paper will describe the conditions that made it necessary for a co existing agreement in Europe at the time, which would later become the basis of a state s self determination and existence. The many political principles deriving from the Westphalian treaty would become apparent in modern day society, whether embraced fully or used as a stepping stone to considering other principles, it would influence the way that international law, politics, and diplomacy would be determined. A state is defined as a legal entity with a permanent population, a well defined territory, and a government capable of exercising sovereignty. The definition becomes important during this time period of the signing of the Peace Treaty, and for the overall international law for years to come. These incidents may cause you to grieve for the normal sight your child doesn t have. Feelings of anger, denial, or depression are common in circumstances like these, even if your child has had her visual impairment since birth or early childhood. Miss Katherine Barlow was a sweet schoolteacher from the nineteenth century at Green Lake. She is also known for her beauty and her spiced peaches: ...full of knowledge and full of life. (Sachar, 102) She was very pretty. Her classes were often full of young men, who were ... interested in the teacher... (Sachar, 102) This shows that she was valued in the town of Green Lake. Most young men, and villagers liked... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Miss Katherine didn t like him back. She rejected his requests to go on walks, and ride fancy boats that he owned. Instead she liked the onion man: Sam. He was black, and he sold onions around the town with his donkey Mary Lou. Once Miss Katherine asked Sam to fix the leaking roof in exchange for some jars of her peaches. After he finished with the roof, she asked him to fix other things. Each time she tried to find a reason to talk to him and be around him. She did this because black people weren t allowed to go to school. When Sam had fixed the schoolhouse completely fixed the schoolhouse, she was sad, because she didn t get that much time to talk to him anymore. She liked him, and they kissed: Oh Sam, she said. My heart is breaking. I can fix that, said Sam. He took hold of her hands and kissed her. (Sachar, 111) This shows that were both in love. They didn t even take in mind that black and white people couldn t kiss or have a future together. They simply didn t care about it. Unfortunately black and white people weren t allowed to kiss: It s against the law for a Negro to miss a white woman. This shows that there was still a racial problem at that time, and Sam the onion picker wasn t allowed to kiss Miss Katherine. The positive thing about Miss Katherine is that she was well educated and friendly as a teacher. Then her life changed completely and she became the opposite of what she ... • 42. Kill Fungus Experiment In our experiment we can conclude that the control/water can t kill fungus you would need some type of alcohol chemical or even our daily hand soap to kill the fungus. The experiment wasn t quite what we were expecting because we thought the fungus would grow more on the control and soap, but the soap didn t get a whole bunch of fungus. Another thing that didn t we expecting was the hand sanitizer because it was 70 percent ethyl alcohol so we were expecting less fungus than we got. Our hypothesis was if fungus grow on soap, water, or hand sanitizer, then no chemical can kill fungus. The hypothesis was and was not prove correctly because you need water and some sort of hand cleaner (like soap) to get your hands clean. The fungus can t dead by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. The Structure Of Dulce Et Decorum Est World War One World War I began in 1914 and lasted until 1918, after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Wilfred Owen was one of the young men who decided to enlist, choosing to fight the fight for England. Through his experience on the battlefield he wrote the poem Dulce et Decorum Est, as a piece to show people that there is no glory in war; only destruction, decay, and death. Despite the poem appearing to have a simple structure, it is revealed to be much more complex. Dulce et Decorum Est appears to follow the iambic pentameterpoem construction style, but that is ultimately not the case. An iambic pentameter style poem should have the set up where there are ten syllables or five feet in each line, with a stressed and then relaxed word interplay. This poem does not strictly follow this template. It appears Owen is pretending to follow a normal poem style, only to become erratic, displaying the destruction of war. The careful construction of the poem through perspective changes, random... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second stanzas first line brings you into the action, and you are no longer just viewing the soldiers, technically, as in the first stanza. Gas! GAS! Quick, boys! An ecstasy of fumbling. (Line 9) That yell of danger instills an internal panic. The soldiers who were just described as being beggars and hags are now called boys in this stanza. Quick, boys! (Line 9) Once boys, now soldiers who have been reduced to almost zombie like characters are clearly brought to life here. In stanza two, Owen has also changed his verbs or action words. In this stanza, we are no longer in the past tense. We are now in the moment experiencing and seeing the sights. An ecstasy of fumbling Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time, But someone still was yelling out and stumbling And flound ring like a man in fire or lime. (Lines ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. The Three Reasons Of Chivalry In The Modern Society In this technologically advanced world, there is an element that is missing. In everyday life, there used to be chivalry: holding open doors, pulling a chair out for a woman, and even the phrase ВЁladies go first.ВЁ Chivalry is courteous acts and gallant behavior, especially toward women, also known as the gentleman. There are very few modern gentleman and that is the problem with today s world. Not to mention, all of society has lost respectfor each other. There are three main reasons that chivalryhas disappeared, the addiction to social media, the general lack of manners, and finally, women themselves. There is no way to solve a problem that no one cares about. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of people care about chivalry, and the basic respect for all men. Ergo, there is no guaranteed solution, but maybe if the general public agree to teach some sort of chivalrous content in public schools, we could start something big. The first reason that there are very few gentleman left, is the fact that this generation relies so heavily on social media. According to a study from the family technology education non profit group, Common Sense Media, ВЁteens are spending more than one third of their days using media such as online video or music nearly nine hours on average,ВЁ therefore people are distracted by their devices. Individuals spend so much time on their phone, that they do not feel like talking to people they would rather text. Even so, there is no worry anymore because ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Funeral customs in Japan vary widely from region to region, but the majority of them are held as Buddhist funerals. At the time of death the body will be washed, and the orifices stuffed with cotton or gauze. Following the cleaning, the body is dressed in a suit or kimono depending on the gender of the deceased. Makeup is applied, and then the body is taken to where the service will be held. Once all of the arrangements have been made the body is put on dry ice in the casket. After family and close friends have attended the wake, the funeral service is held. Following the service the body and the family are transported to the crematorium where they wait for their loved one to be cremated so they may retrieve their bones and ashes. Due to the high population and small land area in Japan they are all cremated and share a family gravesite. Once the ashes have been collected they are taken to the family gravesite where the family says their last goodbyes and the urn is placed into the hollow space inside the gravestone. The family will hold services on certain days and years over time following the death of their loved one. (Billy Hammond ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
