Economic impacts of submarine fiber optic cables and broadband connectivity i...Fola Odufuwa
Subsea cables are the global backbone of the Internet, connecting people, businesses, and economies around the world. They connect us to the cloud, deliver streaming video, and increase efficiency and productivity for business. Subsea cables’ importance is all the more apparent during the Covid19 pandemic when many of us have switched to working from home, remote learning, and online gaming and entertainment.
We studied the economic impacts from subsea cables that arrived in Nigeria (e.g., WACS) to understand how they changed the economy. Improved connectivity led to increases in internet usage and decreases in costs, but infrastructure and affordability challenges meant that impacts were limited to select urban areas. Our results signal the promise connectivity improvements could have in other parts of the country.

It also highlights that Lebanese consumers are active sharers and social participants on the internet, and their consumption behaviors are being shaped by the internet and mobile apps. Mobile broadband ownership in Lebanon is also higher than the global average.

Telecommunication network infrastructure determines the strength of a country for successful communication with other parts of the world. Due to the rapid increase of internet usage and mobile communication in every part of the world, specifically the third world countries, Nigeria is among the
countries that is advancing in the used of telecommunication contraptions. The Nigerian Telecommunication Industries play a vital role in boosting the social and economic infrastructure of the country. This paper is aimed at investigating the Telecommunication Network infrastructure in the Northwestern part of Nigerian and propose some technologies that increase data bandwidth and internet penetration in the region. Problems and future solutions to the existing network infrastructure in the
province were discussed and basic analysis is conducted to justify the importance of the study. Mobile market analysis, current infrastructure, parameters evaluation and the way forward to the problems are discussed. Comparative analysis between the existing network infrastructure that is 3G networks and the proffer solution to the existing standard which is 4G network is also conducted. This paper also conducts
an analysis on the existing Network providers in the region with their draw backs and the quality of services they provide to the customers within the region. The paper concludes with a future plan of coming up with an analytical solution in order to study the implementation process of a full 4G network in the Northwest region of Nigeria and to use a simulated environment to test the proposed model for viability.

Management of frequency spectrum is more important in order to avoid interference.Spectrum Management processes are
established in a framework largely determined
by national needs. The decisions about national goals cannot be
imposed from outside: they are rightly a matter
for a sovereign government and the people, in
the interests of the people.
• Therefore any process establishing a
regulatory framework for spectrum access
must involve the key stakeholders: the
spectrum users and the public. While users of the spectrum have immediate
needs, which should be met if possible, there
are also uses in the future which must be
allowed for in the planning.
• The regulating authority must achieve a
balance between the current use and possible
future uses, such that growth is not hindered.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

10. Nigeria an attractive market for Information Technology
- Mr Peter Jack – Director General of NITDA
Jack said people in Nigeria having mobile phones are much
more than those having bank accounts.
75 per cent of adults living in urban areas and 39 per cent of
those living in rural areas have access to a pre-paid mobile
phone.
18 mobile money operators and 67,000 agents had registered
in Nigeria since the recent inauguration of mobile money with
an approximately one million subscribers
Jack said, “Over 11 million transactions of over $600m have
been conducted.
While uptake had been initially slow, improving infrastructure,
fine-tuning of legislation and increasing confidence in product
by consumers is driving significant acceleration.”
11. The NITDA boss listed the objective of the nation’s
recent local content policy to include:
Increase the integration of ICTs across all sectors in a manner
that supports the diversification of the economy while
achieving job and wealth creation.
Speed up the building out of communications infrastructure so
that the whole nation has access to good quality and
affordable, high-speed telecom and Internet services.
Ensure that Nigerians have affordable and convenient access to
devices and have the capacity to use them so every citizen can
share in the benefits of ICT.
