This study evaluated the use of electronic resources by research scholars and faculty at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Hyderabad, India. A questionnaire was distributed to 100 research scholars and faculty to collect data on their use of electronic resources. The results showed that most users access electronic resources from the central library for research and writing articles. E-journals were the most used resource. Users faced challenges like lack of information and training on resources. While most users were satisfied with the resources, improvements were suggested like increased access, training, and hardware/software. The study aimed to understand user behavior and inform library improvements to better support research.

This study intends to explore the current trends in the field of distance education research catalogued in Web of Science (WoS) database during 1980-2016. Mainly bibliographic description and social network analysis was employed to investigate the structure and patterns of information exchanged within the field of distance education research and also to interpret the interrelationship between keywords indicated in these articles. A total of 500 most cited articles (out of 6,141 relevant to the topic) were reviewed to examine the impact of factors such as journal DOI and keywords on the number of citations that they received. We also identified major trends in distance education literature including variation across publication and citation year, top ranking of institutions and top ranking of published papers based on authors, subject area and co-authorship collaboration between countries. Our results show that the most cited articles are from two institutions of United States and United Kingdom and the most prolific years in terms of number of published articles and citations are 2013.We also found non-significant and very small correlation between the number of citation and DOI number of the journals. Our study serves as a resource for future studies by indicating how trends in distance education research have gradually developed over time and demonstrating the characteristics of the most cited articles in this literature.

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness and satisfaction of undergraduate students with library services at Babcock University in Nigeria. The researchers conducted a survey of 200 undergraduate students to determine the most utilized services, perceived effectiveness of services, and level of satisfaction. This limitation, in turn, reduces the access to high quality resources hidden away in isolated repositories hosted by lesser known sources. Furthermore, the time and labour required to trawl these repositories with a view of identifying the most suitable OER is tantamount to creating ones’ own material from scratch. As a solution to these issues, this paper discusses how the OERScout technology framework uses a “faceted search” approach to locate the most desirable OER from sources spread throughout the globe. It also highlights how focused searching can greatly improve access to OER readily useable in teaching and learning.

This document summarizes a study that examined the relationship between university teachers' usage of electronic information resources (e-resources) and their academic performance. The study found:
1) There was a strong positive correlation (r=0.623) between e-resource usage and academic performance.
2) Usage of e-resources had a statistically significant impact on academic performance, accounting for 38.8% of its variation.
3) The study concluded that e-resource usage is associated with improved academic performance among university teachers.

Information Technology is driving transformative pedagogy in both lower and higher education institutions. This paper discusses internet usage patterns among university academics before advancing to explore how to improve these aspects in the context of education. This descriptive survey collected data from a random sample of 440 university academics in Zimbabwe. Academics use the internet for research more than they did for teaching purposes. Statistical analysis of data revealed gender differences in internet access. Age and experience were found to explain differences in usage among university academics. Educational implications of these findings in relation to advancing development of 21st century skills through Information Technology in tomorrow’s leadership and drivers of country’s economic growth were highlighted. The study recommends a transformation of university teaching practice through technology based holistic models that encompass creative and innovative Webogogy and facilitative content delivery for better performance in higher educational institutions. The paper advocates for university management to promote Technology based teaching practice in universities, fund and develop formal training programmes to upgrade internet search and webagogy skills of academics.

A survey was conducted of 206 undergraduate students majoring in information technology at the University of Malaya. The results found that while students were heavy internet users and comfortable with technology, only 39% reported using e-books. Hello professor and class,
The essay has properly achieved its purpose. It argues out the reason as to why deciding to use either traditional or e-textbooks is a matter of choice. All sides of this debate are properly argued out. For instance, the essay states that there are no variables that determine the type of material (that is, traditional or e-textbooks) that one may use. There are those who just prefer traditional text to on-line text while there are also others who feel that on-line materials are better compared to the traditional material. Another thing that shows this essay has achieved its purpose is the use of examples to support arguments. Both sides of the argument are supported by examples and researches/surveys carried out. This is important because it helps to validate a point the is being argued.
There are a number of things that can be learned from this draft, which can be applied to my paper. The first thing is the e-textbooks provide a new way of interacting with learning materials. This new way of interacting with learning materials promote the manner in which learners are able to master contents. Each and every person has at one time used e-textbook. Technology is here to stay, and it is hard to stay away from it or away from the things that it is offering. Not only the college students find themselves using e-textbooks, but even the adults. Demographic does not dictate the type of material that people use. People choose the materials based on their free will or freedom of choice. Another point that can be incorporated in work is the one supporting physical textbooks where there are some people who go for traditional textbooks due to the tactical quality of a book. Freedom of choice is very important. This is a point that cannot be neglected. Learners should be given the opportunity to interact with the type of material they prefer. Those who feel they can learn well from physical textbooks should be allowed to make use of them while those who prefer e-textbooks should be at will to interact with them.
Adequate support is provided for the claims that are used in the essay. There are points that supported by quotes from various articles, such as “Over half of American college students have used an e-textbook in at least one course.” There is also another instance where the use of e-textbook is supported by a survey that way carried out. This is where it is quoted “More than twenty percent of American adults surveyed had read an e-book in the previous year, and one-third of adults owned at least one e-reading device. Forty-three percent had read electronic content in some long form, such as magazines, journals, and newspapers as well as e-books, and to do so they used an e-book reader, tablet computer, desk computer, or cell phone.” There is more support for various claims that the author of the essay has made.
