The Southwest Express Library (SWX) and Walter Library have partnered with USCIS to help immigrants through the naturalization process. Citizenship Corners were created at both libraries to provide educational materials from USCIS. The libraries also promote citizenship classes on the citizenshipcorner.org website. USCIS representatives regularly visit the citizenship classes to directly communicate with applicants and provide information about the naturalization process. Students have attended open houses at the Houston USCIS office to learn about the naturalization interview. The partnership between the libraries and USCIS helps educate immigrants and bring the naturalization process to a local level.

They also partner at the Education EXPO to promote services and programs to the Southwest community. The EXPO brought together 30 local organizations and performing groups to network and improve quality of life.

Shouldn’t the web be awesome for everyone? That's not always the case, but it could be.
Designed for developers, project managers, and directors alike, the goal of this session is to introduce everyone to the wonderful world of web accessibility. We'll cover the basic standards and regional expectations for accessibility, as well as the principles and concepts that make up the accessibility field. This session will touch on Section 508, WCAG 2.0 standards, and the financial viability of a web accessibility initiative in an industry where time is money.
This session is proposed as a conceptual prelude to our more developer-oriented accessibility session that is taking place at the Higher Ed Summit. Based on my experience as a web accessibility specialist from both the perspective of a project manager and a front-end developer, I'll share the knowledge I've gained with you to address the following important questions:

Our body system
- 3. The human body includes the entire structure of a human being and comprises a head, neck, trunk (which includes the thorax and abdomen), arms and hands, legs an d feet. Every part of the body is composed of various types of cells, the fundamental unit of life.[1] At maturity, the estimated average number of cells in the body is given as 37.2 trillion.This number is stated to be of partial data and to be used as a starting point for further calculations. The number given is arrived at by totalling the cell numbers of all the organs of the body and cell types.[2] The composition of the human body is made up of a number of certain elements including carbon, calcium and ph osphorus. The study of the human body involves anatomy and physiology.The human body can show anatomical non-pathological anomalies known as variations which need to be able to be recognised. Physiology focuses on the systems and their organs of the human body and their functions. Many systems and mechanisms interact in order to maintain homeostasis.
