Tort Law is concerned with accidental injuries and deals with the distribution of

Bradbury uses allusions and metaphors through an analogy, Beatty s dream, to
strengthen his message regarding the importance and power of language and
literature. In Fahrenheit 451, the fire captain Beatty tells the rebel firefighter Montag
about his dream where they both argue what books teach and through this the

Bradbury gathers allusions from different authors, plays, and books throughout the

The Notebook (2004), is a deeply powerful and moving film about the undying love
between a man and woman through the telling of their story of love and loss.
Duke, a resident in a nursing home reads to a fellow resident, an old woman with
Alzheimer s, the love story of Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun. Viewers later
learn that the woman with Alzheimer s is Allie and that Duke is Noah. Prior to the
advancement of her illness, Allie had written their love story in a notebook and told
Noah to read it to her so that she would keep coming back to him . Through the
sharing of their personal experiences of love and grief along with the experiences of
other characters, viewers are able to critically reflect on their own life experiences
of love and loss and the different ways in which these experiences have allowed

documentaries. My father liked to watch Geographical documentaries during my

Wegener s theory was met with much controversy by other scientists. The fact that he
was primarily a meteorologist and astronomer rather than a geologist further
discounted his theory. Wegener provided numerous explanations and documentation
in support of his continental drift theory. He provided two fossils as evidence.
Glossopteris because it had been found on several continents that were widely
separated. Glossopteris, also known as a seed fern fossil, was too large to be
transported by the wind. The other was Mesosaurus which was a small aquatic
freshwater reptile (Lutgens Tarbuck, 2014, p. 154). Other scientists believed this
was possible because land bridges had once existed or explained it away as drafting.
Wegener most likely did not offer fossil sharks or jellyfish as evidence due to the fact
that these fish inhabit all major oceans on the planet.
He also used an Austrian geologist s theory that the continental crust, sial, was lighter
than sima and the sial layer could move across the ocean floor (Healey, 2006, para.
15). Wegener further stated that the tides could cause the continents to move and
later came to the conclusion that magma could also be responsible for the movement.
Wegener made two more journeys to Greenland to conduct meteorological and

On April 19th, 1898, the United States declared war on Spain. Over the next three
months the United States, along with Cuban Rebels waged war against the Spanish
forces in hopes of returning the Cuban lands back to its people. President McKinley

ultimately led to the birth of a western hemispheric super power, the United States.
The sinking of the USS Maine, the use of yellow press journalism, and the national
uproar and motivation is what drove the Americans to victory. Valeriano Weyler,
the Spanish General in Cuba, started a campaign called Subjugation or Death. This
bloody campaign was Spain s attempt to force the local people into slavery. Filled
with concentration camps, burning villages and murdering Cubans, this campaign
took the lives of over 200,000 Cuban people. Since Spain was aware that the US
had sympathy towards the Cuban rebels this endangered the lives of American
citizens living there. The USS Maine was built in 1888 and was seen as advanced
