This document provides an overview and introduction to a youth entrepreneurship program. 6. Career Readiness

Our ultimate goal for YOU to be self-sufficient and be able to get career, not just a job. During the first quarter of the program we will teach
you 21 century workforce skills with a focus on Leadership and Community Building.

7. Financial Literacy
Welcome
YOU will be provided with financial tools and information that will involve banking, saving, investing and credit-building in the program. To stay eligible for
the program, you will be required to save 25 percent of your biweekly stipend in a restricted savings account for college and or to start a business.

8. College Readiness
Welcome
Through our program YOU will be able to earn up to 12 college credits just for completing our program. You will receive monthly individual guidance
from Jasmyne Dawkins as it relates to college preparation and will be required to participate in at least 3 college tours.

9. Entrepreneurship Education

Through our program YOU will learn how manage a business. You will have an opportunity to run one of YEI social enterprises and create marketing
campaigns to sales and product creation.

• Mandatory In class Instruction (8 hrs) 4:00- 6:00 pm 4x week at Roosevelt High School (M-Thur)
or
• Mandatory Saturday Class (8 hrs) 10:00- 6:00 pm (8 hr) EVERY Saturday
+
• E learning Assignments (6 hrs)

These activities will be apart of your college/career development plan that you and your success coach will discuss and can include
1.Approved extracurricular activities that support college readiness (ex. DCPS sport, MOST program,SGA Club)
