Sociology is the scientific study of social behavior, institutions, and social change. It uses empirical research and critical analysis to understand social order, disorder, and trends in areas like technology, globalization, and the workplace. Major social conflicts in organizations can arise from changing social relations and attitudes, social inequalities related to education, caste, and income, differences in social structure, and issues in multi-ethnic societies like language barriers, inferiority complexes, and political or regional preferences.
