A set of rules for eating a balanced breakfast are outlined, with guidelines for when and how to eat breakfast, what a balanced breakfast should include based on MyPlate recommendations, and encouragement for students to make breakfast a priority to fuel their day. Students are reminded to allow enough time between eating and physical activity and to take at least 15 minutes to enjoy their breakfast. Achieving breakfast goals three days in a row or ensuring one's breakfast contains all MyPlate segments is considered making a small goal.
