Communication is defined as the process of sharing and conveying ideas, messages, or information between two or more people through verbal and nonverbal means. There are two major types of communication: verbal which uses spoken and written words, and non-verbal which uses actions, gestures, facial expressions and body language. The key elements of communication are a speaker, message, encoding, channel, decoding, receiver, feedback, and context. The communication process involves a speaker generating an idea, encoding a message, transmitting it to a receiver who decodes and provides feedback.
