Considered to be stable areas of little or

Can include supporting neighborhoodserving commercial services, public
facilities, and institutional uses if
compatible

Low Density Residential Areas




Ensure the preservation of
environmental resources by limiting
development primarily to low density,
large lot residential and open space uses
These are stable areas of little or no
change

The Concept for Future Development and Land Classification System  Suburban Center    Suburban Neighborhoods      Employment centers located along major arterials Include mixed-use cores Contain the county’s established residential neighborhoods Considered to be stable areas of little or no change Broad mix of allowable residential densities and styles, parks and open space Can include supporting neighborhoodserving commercial services, public facilities, and institutional uses if compatible Low Density Residential Areas   Ensure the preservation of environmental resources by limiting development primarily to low density, large lot residential and open space uses These are stable areas of little or no change
  • 7. Existing Conditions Report    Published September 2013 Provides information on the study area geography, area-wide policies, land uses, and public facilities in the study area. Purpose is to create a uniform baseline knowledge of the area and identify other considerations for the study. Click above to read the report!

  • 15. Suburban Center and Areawide Guidance      Denser core of study area Update facts and reflect buildout Anticipated to begin at conclusion of transition area study (late 2014) Plan to be reviewed through Areawide Task Force Timeline: 18-24 months
