Global change is accelerating fast,
disrupting organizations most thought
were untouchable.
Some fear these changes.
We do not.
4. We see endless opportunities for new
world citizens, creative managers,
and inspiring leaders who grasp
change, initiate transformation and
encourage innovation.
Hult Ashridge Executive Education
is at the heart of this change -
helping develop our future business
leaders, their strategies and their
organizations - and by doing so,
improving the world for all of us.

The Hult Ashridge
Difference
A global business school
We are in the 1% of top business schools that are triple-accredited by the
international accreditation bodies AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. We have
campuses in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia and faculty
teaching across 50 countries annually. Our ground-breaking research keeps us
laser-focused on being business-relevant and helps us question and push
conventional thinking. And yes, we run a whole schedule of programs, courses
and degree qualifications for aspiring managers right through to the most
experienced of leaders.
We are an executive education provider - a global business
school, but with a professional services mindset. Now that
is different.
A professional services organization
However, we also know that everything we do must have lasting commercial
impact, that delivers real results to individuals and their organizations. That’s
why we spend time understanding our clients’ deepest challenges, designing
and then delivering something that addresses them directly. Our humanist,
tailored approach sets us apart from the academic-heavy, out-of-touch and
often off-the-shelf training of traditional business schools.
It also means, just like a professional services firm, we do challenge, we will
question, and we intentionally push our clients out of their comfort zone. It’s
part of the value we bring.
6. 10
11
Laser-focused relevance
The world does not stand still, and we don’t
either. We make it our mission to be the
most relevant exec-ed provider anywhere.
That means we apply the very latest
research and insight, the most recent
customer learnings, and all of our faculty
experience to every client. That way we
know that what we deliver has the greatest
impact and relevance each time.
It is always difficult to pinpoint exactly what makes anything or
anyone so different, but our clients tell us it is ultimately in our
approach to working with them. Whether it is our practical ‘action
research’ focus in our doctorate and degree programs, our ‘action
learning workshops’ in our open programs, or our tireless focus on
measurable outcomes in everything we do, our approach is always
personal, humanistic and practical.
Global by design
Great ideas have no borders - and neither
do we. We are a truly international
executive education provider with
campuses and faculty operating right
around the world. This means we deliver
more relevant business education
wherever you might be. It also means that
we are uniquely positioned to educate the
global generation.
Business-first faculty
Our faculty are practitioners. They come
with skills and experiences as CFOs and
entrepreneurs, CEOs and leaders,
innovators and IT specialists, medical
doctors and HR heads. They know the
reality of business and understand that
theory only goes so far. Our faculty are
professionals who educate, not just
lecturers who lecture.
Immersive and inspiring
Pioneers of experiential, immersive
learning, we bring executive education
to life by challenging and inspiring our
participants. Our approach of safely
encouraging them out of their comfort
zone has been proven to deepen and
embed their learning, and is just one of
the many reasons why we consistently get
enviable Net Promoter Scores over 75%.
What Makes Us Unique?
Our leadership guarantee
We stand behind our ability to change behavior, and develop world citizens and inspiring
leaders. Personal development needs of your employees are woven into our teaching, so if
they don’t return to your organization a more confident, effective leader, we’ll refund the

Our world faces some big decisions. Powerful new technologies, growing
and shifting demographics, economic, political and social fault-lines, and
the genuine risk of ecological collapse threaten the massive advances made
since the industrial revolution almost 200 years ago.
In particular, digital advances have recently notched up a level. Their impact on
businesses, economies and global social norms is now becoming so profound that some
believe we are witnessing the beginning of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The phrase is fitting – the pace of change is unprecedented and today’s business
landscape can look alien to even long-standing business leaders. How organizations
interact and serve customers, how they buy and supply goods, how they develop
new products and how they produce and manufacture, all need to be fundamentally
rethought. Why now? Because competitors already are.
‘Born digital’ organizations such as Airbnb, Netflix, Facebook and Uber seem to have
challenged established business models almost overnight, and outwardly appear to
have all the answers. But in reality, the future social impact of technologies such as
artificial intelligence, robotics and the internet of things can only be imagined. What
we do know, however, is that introducing these technologies requires not just technical
understanding, but also strong ethical leadership that fully appreciates their potential -
both good and bad.
The unprecedented pace of change threatens the future of routine and manual jobs, and
large swathes of non-routine cognitive work, including professional services. This raises
important questions, such as:
• What impact are these technology shifts already having and what is the impact for
legislators, governments and organizations?
• What does this mean for the future of work?
• What preparation and leadership skills will be needed to steer and manage the
changes for the benefit of us all?
Our executive education programs address these issues head-on.
It is why we run programs that not only educate on what the most relevant technologies
are, but our management, leadership and strategy programs arm our clients with the
skills to embrace them, develop them, and use them as their new competitive weapons.
If one thing is certain, huge transformation and change, driven by technology disruptors
and digital innovation, is already upon us. Understanding this change, helping define it,
embracing it, planning the outcomes and developing the skills needed to drive it, forms
the backdrop of everything we do.

A desire for transformation, agility, and new skillsets, lie at the heart of every client engagement
- sometimes limited to specific individuals, but often for the whole organization. To get there
means having a good strategy, great leadership to steer the path, an organization that is ready to
embrace any change, and the management teams to drive it through.
That’s why our programs focus on each of these four critical areas:
Our programs are typically a blend of
face-to-face and online learning.

Leading Through Influence
Overview and outcomes
In today’s hectic and complex business
environment, managers and leaders
must influence and persuade others
through successful and effective working
relationships. Whatever their level, the
ability to influence is critical to their
impact, reputation and success.
This program analyzes, diagnoses
and refines the influencing approach
and style of participants, and helps
them practice the latest strategies
for persuasive success. Participants
will acquire tools and techniques to
influence confidently, strategically and
successfully in the workplace.
Program structure
The program is based around three days
of residential work. Before the program,
participants will need to complete a
360° feedback evaluation that helps
identify their own specific areas of focus
for the three days. During the program,
participants will immediately put
classroom strategies into action through
immersive simulations with peers and
actors. These environments deliberately
stretch their capabilities while supporting
them – which our research indicates is
the ideal setting for long-term learning.
We partner with each individual to
identify an influencing challenge they
are currently facing at work, which
will form the basis for this program.
Participants will leave with an action
plan to help them overcome that
challenge, and by completing a final
project back at work, they will earn a
Certificate of Application. Participants
are also given access to the Virtual
Ashridge learning platform for the
duration of the program.

Designing Operating Models
Overview and outcomes
Before an organization can operate,
managers must make many decisions.
What to insource and what to outsource?
What processes to establish? Where
to locate? Who to hire and under what
terms? What systems are needed? How
should the organization be structured?
These decisions are normally made
at different points in time by different
functional leaders. This program focuses
on how to make all these choices align
with each other and the organization’s
overarching strategy.
Participants will learn how to convert
strategic ideas into design principles, and
design principles into operating choices.
They will learn to develop a high-level
operating model for their organization
or department, how to lead an operating
model project, gain buy-in from other
stakeholders, and how operational
insights can lead to new strategies.
The program covers the tools needed to
design a high-level operating model: a
concise 10 or 20-page document. The
Operating Model Canvas provides the
framework for the tools and a template
for a one-page model.

Research at Ashridge plays a vital role
in developing new insights and
leading-edge approaches, as well as
answering the questions that are central to
leaders’ minds.
Our research focuses on two themes:
Creating Disruption – researching
strategies that anticipate, shape, and
react to changes in international markets.
What local or global events, technology,
or scenarios enable or trigger a new
strategy? How are strategies constructed,
communicated, and implemented? How
well do specific strategies perform,
especially in multinational environments?
How can strategies that are successful
in one market be leveraged in another
market which is perhaps half way around
the globe?
Transforming Behavior - relates to the
continuous improvement of organizational
and personal leadership practices.
This involves rigorous data-driven
assessment of the interventions and
programs that generate the greatest
long-term improvement in the behavior
of individuals, teams, and organizations in
business settings globally.

Global Challenges -
Sustainability at Hult Ashridge
To play this role, we need to be doing three things:
1. Engaging in research and thought leadership to fully understand the changing
nature of sustainability in each of our faculty’s field of expertise
2. Embracing ‘sustainable development’ across our portfolio of education and
consulting work with clients
3. Addressing these trends in the way we operate as an organization, develop our
staff, and work with the local community
Research
Ashridge has always been at the forefront of sustainability research. In 1996 we established
the Ashridge Center for Business and Sustainability to consider the implications of the
changing expectations of the role of business in society.
In 2007, we became one of the first business schools to adopt the United Nations
Principles for Responsible Management Education, having participated in the global
taskforce which developed them.
We are also a founding partner of the Academy of Business in Society (ABIS). The ABIS is
an alliance of businesses and academic institutions committed to integrating sustainability
into the heart of business theory and practice.
Work with clients Sustainable development runs through much of our work including Open
Programs and our Custom Development and Consulting work with specific organizations.
How we operate
Our vision is for Ashridge House to be the sustainable venue of choice for all our clients.
Being a Grade I listed building brings its challenges. However we have already achieved the
ISO50001 and ISO14001 Standards (the world’s most respected standards for energy and
environmental management). This is the result of our commitment and efforts in the areas
of energy use, water, waste, and procurement.
We have set ourselves numerous other ambitious targets, including reducing our carbon
emissions by 34% by 2020 and by 80% by 2050.
Significant global trends including population growth, globalization, shifting
centers of economic power, increasing differentials in quality of life, and
stresses in the natural environment all point to major change in the years
ahead. Our role is to help leaders think through the implications of these
changes for both commercial success and broader societal well-being.
