19. Help Desk
Our Associate Provost for Academic Technology
and Information Services (ATIS) at the system
level has given us a project and “agent”
licenses on the ATIS Help Desk server
(Footprints) as part of the commitment to our
start-up.
We can offer a knowledgebase and flexible
context-sensitive issue creation forms.
A robust help desk application is a huge help to
20. Web Site - http://textbooks.opensuny.org/
The Open SUNY Textbook and SUNY
OER Services web site is in
Wordpress.
We can distribute editing
responsibilities and be facile and
responsive in supporting users and
our staff conducting workshops.
It is a challenge to support open
publishing distribution and a suite of
OER services!
21. Professional Development Services
One staff member is also an instructional designer and everyone has design
and teaching experience.
We are developing a course in OER that is specific to SUNY OER Services to
be offered F2F, online facilitated, and self-paced.
Meantime, there are open OER courses developed in SUNY that anyone can
access!
Webinar and workshop content is under continual development and
enhancement.
22. OER Cataloging
One of the services we were asked by the SUNY System to offer is the
cataloging of OER deliverables from Innovative Instructional Technology
Grants (IITG).
We developed a cataloging process for these OER in the SUNY-wide digital
repository and have the commitment of the system Office of Library and
Information Services to help build this IITG collection!
