  2. 2. <ul><li>Time and Money are two of the major reasons that people have a hard time attending college </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Currently there are a number of budget cuts taking place within the California State University system causing a budget crisis </li></ul><ul><li>The result is that: </li></ul><ul><li>Financial aid is being reduced </li></ul><ul><li>Student fees are going up in an attempt to compensate for the huge cuts taking place </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>The high cost of living added to the budget cuts are making it nearly impossible to be a full time student at a CSU </li></ul><ul><li>Working and going to school can be a very daunting task for many and work hours are not always flexible enough to accommodate students </li></ul>
  5. 5. Technology <ul><li>The constant improvements in technology are making it easier to find time to attend school and work </li></ul>
  6. 6. Hybrid Classes <ul><li>Hybrid classes allow students to do most of the required course assignments for class online, requiring minimal attendance on campus </li></ul><ul><li>On campus meetings can be used for testing, lab experiments, guest speakers or important lectures by professors </li></ul>
  7. 7. Online Classes <ul><li>Online classes allow students with complex schedules to do all required course assignments online </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>The following is a proposal encouraging the CSU system to adopt more hybrid and online classes thereby making education more accessible </li></ul>
