What is RWUR?<br />Began as a DE flex entry pilot program – fall 2008<br />Intended for highly motivated, self-disciplined students with good computer skills<br />8 week courses that start the first Monday of: February, March, April, October, November and December<br />Only select “core” curriculum course are offered<br />

RWUR Specifics<br />Same admissions requirements apply<br />No difference in cost of online courses or extra program requirements<br />Classes are completely online – no in person assignments, labs, or tests <br />Low cost or free e-textbooks – instructor’s option<br />Respondus Lockdown browser use – instructor’s option<br />

RWUR Faculty<br />Faculty must be Certification in Instructional Technology (CIT) certified<br />Faculty must be experienced in DE<br />Assignment must be within course workload <br />Application process<br />Faculty respond to questions about teaching style, experiences and interest in teaching in this format<br />Supervisor recommends and approves application<br />Committee reviews application<br />Currently demand exceeds supply<br />
