The Operational Programme Digital Poland 2014-2020 aims to enhance broadband infrastructure and digital services across Poland, targeting universal access to high-speed internet by 2020. The plan includes investments of approximately €2.17 billion to improve e-administration, increase digital literacy, and promote the use of ICT in various sectors. Key goals involve providing coverage of at least 30 Mbps to all citizens and fostering the digital competency of society.

Cost of achieving 30 Mb/s goal in Poland (in 2013):
•Providing FTTH networks for all white areas in Poland would be a cost of about
10,5 bln euro
•Building FTTH networks will never be a viable option for some areas of Poland
•Mix of technologies lowers the cost of providing universal coverege of 30 Mb/s to
about 4,3 bln euro
Present situation:
•3,4 mln households are located in 45 980 localities are not covered by NGA
networks
•10,16 mln households are covered by NGA networks in 3 830 localities

6. Thematic objectives for the ESI Funds 2014-2020
(1) strengthening research, technological development and innovation;

the fishery and aquaculture sector (for the EMFF);

(7) promoting sustainable transport and removing bottlenecks in key network
infrastructures;

(10) investing in education, training and vocational training for skills and lifelong learning;

8. Operational Programme Digital Poland 2014-2020
Operational Programme Digital Poland 2014-2020, has been prepared by the
Ministry of Administration and Digitization and the Ministry of Infrastructure
and Development and was approved by the European Commission on
December 5th 2014.
The main objective:
 Strengthening the digital foundations for country’s socio-
economic development
According to the Partnership Agreement these foundations are:
broad access to high-speed internet,
effective and user friendly e- services in public sector and
constantly rising level of digital competencies of the society.
