OneDrive (formerly known as SkyDrive, Windows Live SkyDrive, and Windows Live Folders) is a file hosting service and synchronization service operated by Microsoft as part of its suite of Office Online services.
First launched in August 2007, OneDrive allows users to store files and personal data like Windows settings or BitLocker recovery keys in the cloud, share files, and sync files across Android, Windows Phone, and iOS mobile devices, Windows and macOS computers, and the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.
Users can upload Microsoft Office documents directly to OneDrive.
In order to help your employees with this transition, it's important to manage change and to find ways of engaging them and encouraging them to use the tool. This slide presentation goes over everything end users should know when using OneDrive for Business and/or OneDrive.
Learning Targets:
I can create, edit and locate files and folders in OneDrive.
I can sync my OneDrive to my computer
I can learn some cool tricks with Office365!
What is OneDrive for Business and What Does it Do?ShareGate
The core purpose of OneDrive for Business is to offer users a personal storage space for their work. With 1TB of available storage space, combined with the ability to synchronize files offline, it quickly became a major player on the market! Let’s take a detailed look at what it is, and what it does!
My slides from session "OneDrive for Business 101 - what it is for and what is not" from Office 365 - SharePoint Saturday Copenhagen 12th March 2016.
Back to the basics of OneDrive for Business, why it was created, and where it is now and where it's might go. Interestingly the auditorium was quite busy and the audience had some good questions to debate on the subject which proved the confusion brought by the product suite.
When it comes to online/cloud storage there are 100 of choices nowadays. Have you met OneDrive? Microsoft's storage service is just as good, ACTUALLY its better than Dropbox, Box, and other cloud services when you take into consideration price, accessibility, and privacy. Take a peak, you won't be disappointed.

It's always been a dilemma -- do you invest in servers, licenses and people to set up and maintain a fully controllable SharePoint infrastructure in-house, or is it time to explore hosting SharePoint off-premise? Legal IT professionals have been struggling with this decision for years.
The on-premise option offers peace of mind from a security and controllability standpoint, but comes saddled with high costs, a demand for resources and limited scalability. SharePoint Online, on the other hand, alleviates the burden associated with SharePoint on-premise by removing the need for servers, software licenses and personnel, and can be rolled out to a large pool of people virtually overnight. However, you'll still need support for integration projects. Join us as we discuss the pros and cons of each option and give you recommendations based on our experiences, deployments and feedback.

How Using Microsoft Office 365 Can Benefit Your OrganisationBright Technology
The growth of cloud infrastructure in recent years has led to a surge in popularity of Software as a Service (SaaS) packages such as Microsoft Office 365. This popularity stems from a variety of factors, including ease of use, reduced costs, and automatic updates. Recent research by IDC demonstrates that businesses are increasingly using cloud-first procurement strategies. As
a result of this and other factors, IDC forecasts that global public revenue from IT cloud services will grow at over 19% through 2019, nearly 6 times the growth rate of IT spending growth as a whole – with spending on SaaS leading the way. Currently, almost 80% of businesses deploy or fully embrace the cloud, according to IDC. Furthermore, the percentage of companies expressing no
interest in the cloud has declined to 8% from 21% in 2014. The cloud has truly become a mainstream IT tool for most businesses, offering enhanced productivity enabling companies to improve the efficiency of their operations. This guide will explain why the cloud matters to SMEs (small and medium-size enterprises) as well as covering in detail the various features and benefits of the Microsoft Office 365 cloud bundle.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

You can save or open Office documents in OneDrive from the Office apps.

OneDrive, select File > Open, choose your OneDrive, and then select the file.
OneDrive
Create or upload files & folders
You can create new files and folders and upload existing files and folders
from your device. In OneDrive, select Upload > Files. Or select a location in
OneDrive and drag and drop files or folders from your device.
You can also share a file by copying the link and pasting it in email, IM, a
webpage, or a OneNote page. In OneDrive, select a file and then select Copy
link. Copy the link and then paste it in the destination.
Share files
The files and folders you store in OneDrive are private until you decide to share
them. You can stop sharing at any time. You can grant Edit or View
permissions for recipients and set time limitations on a file to specify when it
will no longer be accessible. In OneDrive, select a file and then select Share.
Based on admin settings, sharing levels are:
Anyone – people inside and outside your
org can access. Links can be forwarded.
People in <organization> – everyone in
your org can access.
People with existing access – create a link
to be used by people who already have
access.
Specific people – specify email addresses of
the people you want to give access to.
