This document discusses values and corporate strategy. It defines values as conceptions of what is desirable for individuals and groups. Values depend on personality and can change over one's life. Eduard Spranger classified values into six types. Corporate strategy involves explicit goals and policies to achieve objectives and operate effectively. Managers must consider opportunities, risks and resources when formulating strategy. Personal values influence decision making and strategy implementation. Strategies must align with personal values while ensuring economic viability.

3. Values are conceptional, implicit and explicit
of what an individual or group regards as
desirable.
It is closely related to our personality.
It depends from person to person.
The portion of values are affected at the
later stage of the life.
Untill we face the face to face situations in
life we don’t understand the importance of
values.

Aesthetic Man
Social Man
Political Man
Religious Man

5. Corporate strategy is an explicit and shared
set of goals and policies.
Each executive tends to behave in his own
way by his own concepts and previously set
goals
If strategies are not present in corporate
world then there is possibility of
disorganization in company’s operations.

6. The process by which an individual’s concept
of or feel for his company’s strategy is
formulated includes assessment of
environmental opportunities and risks and of
company resources.
The manager has to be very much consious
and articulate about the decisions which he
is taking.
