This document discusses the use of remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) for transportation network analysis. It provides an overview of how GIS technologies allow transportation networks to be identified, mapped, and analyzed using spatial data. Different remote sensing platforms and sensors are described that can be used at varying spatial resolutions for applications like transportation planning, mapping road networks, and analyzing connectivity between locations.
