This document is a report submitted by Ankit Kumar about his 28-day industrial training at the National Thermal Power Corporation in Kahalgaon, Bihar. The training was a requirement for Ankit to earn his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidhyalaya in Bhopal. During the training, Ankit learned about the skills, demands, and work ethics of the power industry from hands-on experience and guidance from his coordinators. Ankit thanks the staff at NTPC Kahalgaon for their support during his training and for helping him explore new areas in the field of instrumentation.

A formal statement of acknowledgment is hardly sufficient to express our gratitude
towards the personalities who have helped us to complete our training.
I am thankful to Mr. Nalin Kishore,(E-5,E.M.D), Mr. D.Kar, AGM (C&I) and with all
the staffs at the training center.
Working as a vocational trainee in NTPC Kahalgaon,Bihar, which is ISO14001, certified,
has been a learning experienced. The guidance and knowledge bestowed on me during the
course of training by my coordinators was really praiseworthy. Industrial training, where a
student undertakes a period of training with an organisation usually during a semester
break, plays an important role in preparing the student for a professional career. From the
hands-on training, the student learns about the skill sets required, demands of the industry
and also work ethics. Employees at NTPC Kahalgaon have helped me in every stage of
my training and I thank all of them for helping me to explore new horizons in the field of

We are also thankful for the valuable help we received to gather the insight knowledge
which otherwise would not have been there.
